No one is ever going to want me
I feel a bit bad posting this, because I feel like I'm saying "Oh, hey, look guys! My character is so good that he definitely deserves to take up someone's time to be drawn." It feels really arrogant of me to do this, especially since the character himself is probably not that well-written. But, honestly, this is my favorite character I've written and my favorite character to play, so I really wanted him drawn. He's from the roleplay The Wicked Seas, which was an RP started on another website, abandoned, and then rebooted on this one. I used this same character in both RPs, though with some edits in the newer version. If someone's interested in this, then his appearance is below.
Ren is a 43-year-old Caucasian man with tanned skin and dark-brown eyes, to the point where they appear completely black. Though, looking at his face, most people aren't drawn to his eyes or skin color. Rather, the multitude of scars set upon his face and dotted around the entirety of his body is what attracts the most attention. Though a fair amount of these scars were gained throughout his career in the Osmillian Navy, the majority of them can be attributed to a single incident.
Ren's hair is a dark brown color, the same shade as his eyes, though just a bit lighter. It's kept at a medium length, and combed out of the way of his forehead while on land. It's clear that Ren doesn't do much with his hair, other than keep it out of his way. However, Ren does keep his hair tied in a short ponytail to prevent the wind from blowing it too much. Coupled with his scars, his face has a scraggly full beard that extends to his neck.
Ren stands at a height of 5'8. Though he may be a bit shorter than some, his greater-than-average build make him seem like a imposing force to all who encounter him. However, this detail about his body is not what instills fear and curiosity to those who spot him. It's something far more obvious, and something that greatly troubles Ren, something that keeps him awake at night, growling in pain. His left arm is cut off at the elbow, and in its place is a prosthetic made of light-colored hard wood and connected to him through a series of leather straps and buckles. In the place of a prosthetic hand is a cold metal hook.
On his legs are a pair of black cotton pants with a bit of string at the front to keep the pants from falling off. The pants seem quite sturdy, though a bit weathered. On his feet are a pair of brown leather boots with a cuff at the top of each. He typically doesn't wear a shirt, making his build and the straps of his arm more apparent. Around his neck is a necklace, adorned with several different kinds of teeth. On the front of the necklace is a severed human thumb, surrounded on each side by two broken parts on a pendant that look like they'd come together to form a purple heart. Finally, on the back of the necklace is a strange rune-covered pendant.
