Hello, call me Dissonance.
In the past few days I've been hooked to a game called Skyrim, and as a result I'd like to do a roleplay based on the game. This is my first time posting on this site and I am still confused by the mechanics and various threads. I used to be a roleplayer on Tinierme and usually post a minimum of a paragraph in roleplays. I like longer posts since it fuels my imagination. One liners on the other hand kill it.
I'm currently looking for a RP buddy who'd like to create a plot based on Skyrim. So far I have some ideas, but they're quite vague and I'm not sure if anyone here is even interested in the game. (Hopefully there are people here who like Skyrim.) If anyone is interested we could work on the plot together. This can be a 1x1 or small group RP depending on how many people are interested.
Here is a draft of my will be character. (It still lacks an appearance though and tweaking.)
Name: Devon “Dev” The Shadow
Age: 23
Hometown: Skyrim, Riften
Occupation: Thief
Race: Nord
Weapons : An ebony dagger and a hunting bow
Personality:
Dev isn’t called the shadow for nothing; he’s a sneaky guy who can tread through anything silently. Dev doesn’t have a good set of morals. He lies, he cheats, he steals, but he never murders. He still has some code of honor despite his twisted views on justice. Despite his silent movement, Dev is anything but quiet when it comes to talking. He always has something to say whether it’s a snappy comeback or a flattering remark. He has a crafty tongue and a way with words. The thief is good at bargaining and persuading. Devon is a greedy young man with no real sense of loyalty. He’ll do whatever it takes to earn more coins and side with those who give him leverage. He’ll work for whoever pays the most. The thief almost never takes people seriously, unless of course they’re clients looking for a hired hand. Dev usually looks out only for himself, but when someone proves themself and gains his respect he’ll look out for them, which is rare with Dev since he’s more of a standalone type. Dev likes to mess with people and get on their nerves, usually their reactions amuse him, and so when not on missions or heists Dev is quite mischievous. He can be a cocky person and at times feels more than sure of his abilities. His guild mates sum him up with this. Devious, egotistical, greedy, but he gets the job done.
Biography:
The city of thieves. Devon was born and raised in Riften, not exactly the best place to raise a child. Riften is known far and wide due to its sinister reputation. It’s corrupt and almost no one earns money the honest way within the city walls. Dev’s parents were regular folk; they managed to get by due to his mother’s apothecary shop and his father’s bakery. Life was good to Dev, but he was never content. On a humid September morning a shopkeeper left a ring while he went to get a new shipment of mead, so Dev snatched the ring and made a run for it. Someone saw him, but that someone did not get upset. In fact the person snuck up to his house one night and left an invitation. It told Dev to meet him at the Ragged Flagon. The man also stated that Devon would get gold if he went. The seventeen year old could not resist. He went and joined the thief guild. There Devon the pick pocket became Devon the shadow. From flimsy snatching to lock picking and jewel heists. Dev is a force to be reckoned with. Cross him and you might wake up with your entire life savings gone.
Specialties:
Sneaking and lock picking are two of Devon’s greatest assets. He is formidable with daggers and bows as well. Dev also has a way with words so he can be quite the persuader.
Weak points:
Dev isn’t good with battles that rely on heavy weapons or brute strength. The young man can barely handle a war hammer. Its weight greatly affects the precision of his blows. Heavy armor does not suit him either; they turn Dev the shadow, into Dev the clumsy. Since he isn’t used to walking around clad in heavy and stiff steel. Magic is the bane of his existence, Dev couldn’t summon a spark to save his life.
If anyone is interested please send me a private message or comment a visitor message so we can discuss what kind of Skyrim themed RP to make. Also sorry if some things are inaccurate. I'm fairly new to Skyrim. Been playing for around a week and half or so, but I love it pieces and would really enjoy doing a RP based on it.
Thanks for reading ^^
