anyone else's BBCODE go completely mad after submitting?

not really a help request with the code as such - i know how to get the layout i want.


there's just this one problem with the BBCODE system: it goes completely mental every time i copy/paste or go back to edit a post.


for example, i'd have a perfect code right here:


"[oh there's a row here] [oh look a column] [oh hey a background] [oh check it out a border]


[there's a centerblock here]


[this text is justified] asdfghjkl [/this text is no longer justified] [/bye bye centerblock] [/rip background and border and column and row]"


i hit preview. looks great. i hit post. still looks great.


but then if i try to edit the post or copy/paste the code into a reply...


"[OH HEY LOOK A ROW] [/LOL BYE ROW] [HERE'S THAT COLUMN YOU CODED EARLIER] [oh it's the background and border and justify and shit inside it] (there's no text here) [/END OF COLUMN WHOOPS]


[HEY LET'S CLONE THAT COLUMN AGAIN BUT DOWN HERE AND COMPLETELY FUCK UP THE LAYOUT]


this time there's text but what in the-


[DON'T FORGET TO ADD TWO EXTRA BORDERS SO THERE ARE BOXES LITERALLY EVERYWHERE LOL]


[ADD LIKE 4 MORE EMPTY ROWS] [AND JUSTIFY ABSOLUTELY NOTHING A FEW TIMES]


[/NOW LET'S END EVERYTHING]"





it's crazy. it's like the code has a mind of its own and there's no way to just edit what you've written without triggering a dupefest and completely mucking up the post.


does anyone else get this problem? does anyone know how to fix it?

If you're using the rich text editor, that's what's causing the problem. It likes to mess up the code.
