Realistic or Modern ANOTHER Simple School RP?

Alex drove to the cafe with a small smile on her face. She didn't have to ask Lisette what Cafe to go to, because she already knew. Every weekend they would go and meet up. After a while, she pulled up into the parking lot and got out of the car. She went into the coffee shop and sat down at the nearest available table and waited for her girlfriend to appear. @PrincessIvy

JASPREET SINGH

Grasping the pagh in his hand, he jogged lightly up the staircase to switch it with another. One that didn't smell of a kitchen. Instead of his yellow, he chose a cornflower blue. Jaspreet pushed his hair upward into a topknot, slipping the headband over his hairline to begin wrapping the turban around his black locks. Securing it by tucking in the tail of cloth, he straightened out creases and nodded rather approvingly at himself. The same technique he'd mastered by the time he was fourteen, to the delight of both his parents and grandparents. As well as the largely extended family that mostly consisted of the entire Gurdwara community.

Digging for his phone in the deep pocket of his jeans, batting aside the keys in the depths, he retrieved his phone once again. '4 seems good. We goin anywhere in particular?' At last putting it aside, he pulled on a thick denim jacket and sandalwood prayer beads. Moving from his room to snatch up a good pair of converse, he met his mother coming out from the study. Being the son of a Doctor, many would suspect Jaspreet to be quite privileged. Of course, his father kept the fact they had money a secret till Singh managed to work it out himself. A lesson to teach him that a note with a face, didn't have to be your world. Till his mother and grandparents proceeded to constantly pressure him into getting a good, well-paid job. He loved them though, in a strange fashion that all families do.

"You're going out?" Her voice was still heavy with a Punjabi lilt, but clear enough it didn't have people doing the odd nodding and smiling thing when they're too embarrassed to ask what you said for the third time in a row. Wearing a traditional sari of light orange, decorated in beads and sequins, painstakingly handstitched and gifted all the way from India.

"Yeeeees - With Adam. I finished at the Gurdwara, said hello to Uncle, and fed the cat." Jaspreet replied, turning gently on his foot while pouting slightly. "I'm off then-"

Her hand came up and she silenced him. "What was the letter - hm?! You been misbehaving in school again? Why can't you be more like Adam? Adam wants to be good surgeon! Good surgeon!"

Ah, the crippling way in which his mother remarked upon his friend had Jas sigh. "ਮੰਮੀ (Mamī), you do know that physical therapy isn't surgery? He wants to help people to stretch." His voice flatlined, pinching at the bridge of his nose in exasperation. "I got accepted to this academy, seems pretty well spoken for. The letters downstairs, but I really gotta go - things to do - places to see. Lives to live." To which his mother snorted, patting him on the cheek. "My son hasn't even got a girlfriend, since when has he a life?"

Baisti complete.*

"ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ. (Thankyou.) I'll be leaving." He exhaled heavily through his nose, his mother still cackling to herself at her own words. Managing to reach the front door, tug on his shoes, and escape the confines of his house with a wallet tucked into his back pocket - Jaspreet began desiring to move far, far away.

(Send Ethan, maybe? I can't think of a reason why Robin would know a rich kid, so I was going to be lazy and leave the creativity to you....)

(Oh Well robin could like get annoyed with his drunken aunt and leaves the house to be alone then stumbles upon the gym that Ethan is in and he goes in and we go from there?)

Noah eventually wanders outside, holding a small book in one hand. After blinking a couple of times to adjust his eyes to the sunlight he wanders down the street, intent on eyeballing this Academy. He wanders past rows of apartments, some more rustic then others and he wonders if his life will eventually go the same way, he's aware of what his father brings in and he thinks about this when compared to the mortgage and expenses

"Not enough..." he mutters to himself before carrying on.

Adam removed himself from the bed, his legs straight up against the wall and his back resting upon his mattress - one of the many comfortable positions Adam enjoyed. He rotated his body until his legs reached the side of the bed where he could get out, and began dressing himself. Starting off by replacing his shorts with jeans (which had been on the floor besides his bed) instead, and then grabbed a hoodie, some shoes. He didn't look at his mirror but he figured he looked better than before. He combed his hair a bit, just to tame the bed head he knew he was experiencing and then he was off - Probably - pivoting himself back to brush his teeth and put on some deodorant.

Eventually Adam was halfway out the door, when a male voice called for him down the hall way.  "Adam, where are you going this time?" Sam sighed, raising an eyebrow. He had been unlucky to be spotted by Sam than his mother, next rehearsed dialogue explaining why. "Do you think you can just leave now without telling us?" The same lecture. Every time. In adolescent Adam, he was mature enough to make his own choices without worry from "authority" but in considerate Adam, he knew he had to just tell them however lazy Adam had gotten in the way. "Now, I know you have nothing going on," He began to say. "However don't you think maybe once in a while you could bother to tell us once in a while, if you did, we wouldn't lecture." Well, Adam knew for an actual fact it was not a "we" but an "I" and his mum would have let him go as soon as he said "I'll remember next time." However no, Sam would spend decades.

He wanted to text Jas, to respond but looking down would just prolong this whole transaction. Sam would drone on and on... Adam could've really used the eternal slumber right now.

After a billion years later, he would be running to meet Jas at the park. A quaint place that had been expanded over the 5 years he had lived here. It now held carnivals and festivals - all filled with wonderful memories. He had been to one of Jas' picnics or vacations (he would snicker) and sat in hot sun, eating cool watermelons and drinking Lassi, a yogurt drink which was to his stomach delicious and refreshing.

Folding up the letter and placing it on top of his desk, Robin walked to his closet and pulled out a pair of grey cargo shorts, a red t-shirt and a black long sleeved-shirt. He didn't really have a lot of options, so this was about the best he could do. Pulling on the articles, he limped out of his room and downstairs to find his aunt passed out on the old couch with about three whiskey bottles on the dented coffee table in front of her. Great. Thought Robin. Now he could head out without getting in trouble.

Taking his shoes from the rack by the front door, he walked out as quietly as possible. It wasn't likely his aunt would wake up anytime soon, but he always tried to be extra careful. Whistling quietly to himself, he walked down the street, heading out of his shady old neighborhood to go explore somewhere else.

Ethan kept training hard with his coach as the music blared out the open doors of the gym. Sweat pouring down him as him and his coach kept going. Left right left right left left left right right duck left right left right. They went rapidly there arms on a Rhythm as Ethan rapidly punched the hand pads as his coach held them out

Lisette smiled wide and parked her car. She stepped out, her phone in hand as she locked the car. She walked into the cafe, a small bounce in her step as she neared to table Alex was sitting at.

"Hey, Hun." She leaned down and planted a soft kiss on her girlfriend's lips.

Margo had come back to the apartment early, to no one's surprise. Davy watched as she entered the room, lost in thought. Her fingers flew across her phone's keyboard, texting, and she paid no mind to anything else. She finally looked up after accidentally losing her balance trying to pull off her high heels twice. She let out a yelp as she noticed Davy, sitting on the couch and facing her.

"Christ, you scared the crap outta me Lou!" She said with a startled expression then shook it off and let her hair down.

Davy shrugged and softly replied, "Wasn't there an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting today? At 12? If you don't want to go anymore maybe I could get you some passiflora to help with withdrawal symptoms or maybe—"

"You can shut up. Anyways, there was something in the mail for you," Margo told him as she pulled out a white and slightly crumpled envelope from her jacket pocket.

"Hmm... I  wonder if it's another cease-and-desist from the rec center..." She pondered aloud.

Davy spared a glance at the book shelf, where the arctium lappa, otherwise known as Burdock, was growing in the small garden out on the balcony. He found it growing at the rec center's gardens, left in the corner by itself. He was banned from the rec center for having harvesting other people's plants without their permission, but that was another story from another day. Apparently with the Burdock Incident, he had 'trespassed' and 'damaged and stole property' but whatever. The acne elimination that the Burdock roots gave was worth it. The lawsuit and scrutinizing of his sister as a guardian, however, was not.

"Ooh. Fancy." Margo had pulled the letter out from the envelope, looking over the words and walked over besides Davy.

"You've been invited to Rich and Expensive: the School. You think they noticed your weed hobby?"

"They're not all psychoactive substances, Go-Go. And besides, I never prescribed that 'weed hobby' you got last year." He ignored her incredulous expression and took the letter from her hands before she stomped off and away to her room.

He skimmed through it and picked up the gist of it: 'we're new, rich, and have a science teacher trained in all areas, and you don't really care about anything other than that, do you?'. Davy's answer to that was no, and his answer to the school was yes. He briefly thought about his own school, a quiet and awkward place where everyone shuffled along in their solitude. And then he thought about the inevitable expenses a school like Bellevue Academy would come most likely come with. Would he be able to pay for them? Would he need another gas station job he'll (most likely) lose?

To help think of a plan of action for dealing with expenses, he threw on his jean jacket, black mud-caked shoes, and stuffed the envelope and letter in his back pocket. He headed out the door.

JASPREET SINGH

If anyone had been invited to an Indian picnic, it was mayhem. Adam knew that. The copious amounts of food, drunken relatives, random games that were forced upon everyone, old people getting lost, and bad Bollywood impressions during charades. Of course, you learned to love it. And it was brilliant, but there was a reason why they only occurred a few times a year. The entire Gurdwara showed up, or the entirety of your family. Other families that your mother was desperately attempting to marry you into. The havoc wasn’t worth it any other time of the year apart from summer. Although then you had the ‘vacations’. Which were something altogether more complicated and more so tightening the purse strings, even if you were a doctor like Jaspreet’s own father. Habits died hard.

Singh sat upon one of the benches lining the edge of the park, scrolling through his phone whilst nodding his head to the rhythm of his earphones. He was a fan of Punjabi music, all but the films. Watched so many times, with bad budgets and storylines that could make Shakespeare weep. There was a reason, why Jas despised the Bollywood industry to such an extent. That, and his parents shouting for him whenever the television needed updating for the next array of badly scripted reality shows, aired in India. As much as he loved his origins, even being a second generation Sikh-Indian, he truly thought that perhaps the country would make something worthwhile. On the other hand, his mother praised it.

Jaspreet stretched his arms out, leaving the mobile in his lap whilst glancing around in expectation of his friend. Adam was one of the few whom had seen Jas with his hair down, that and in his bana (spiritual attire, usually worn during celebration and worship). Oh, and his mother wished to adopt the sarcastic ass. Which was hypocritical, since he too, was sarcastic. Yet like many blokes, they’d never shared a heart-to-heart. And if they did, he’d assume something out of the body snatchers.

is calm in most cases and just tries to enjoy every moment. If an adult is speaking or making gestures, Justin will mock those actions just to get a few giggles out of other people. He loves to see other people in a good mood, making him a caring person for other's feelings. Also, Justin can get irritated quite easily, so don't overstep his boundaries or he WILL go off on you, no matter who you are. Lighthearted and humorous, Justin has a tendency to tease people, either with their secrets or whatever Justin can make believable.  He tends to be abrasive, sarcastic, and brutally honest, but he's generally friendly and overall easy to get along with. Somewhat excitable, to the extent of being a little rash, and always has a witty comeback.

~His fatherHistory: Being the oldest of the three brothers, Justin grew up with three different fathers and the same mother. The first father, his father, was quite abusive towards his mother and Justin. That's when his mother gained full custody of Justin and she moved them out and into her boyfriend's house. About two years later, Justin was told that he was going to be an older brother. Now of course, he didn't understand what that really meant, since he was two years old. After his brother was born, Justin's mother was fired from her job and had moved the two brothers out and into a small apartment, after she caught Justin's step-father cheating on her. It only took a few months for Justin's mother to find love, yet again. This time, she was truly happy with who she was with. He was wealthy, highly respected politician. Soon after, Justin, his half-brother, and his mother moved in with Justin's second step-father. And yet again, Justin's mother was pregnant again. With the newest member now in the family, Justin and his family were in a happy spot.

Crushes: Had too much to count through time but they never really passed a week. It's more likely that she considers it more as an appreciation for beauty than anything else.

Relationship: Her family is comprised of her parents, her older brother and her grandmother, to whom she had a very good relationship with. She tends to poke fun at her brother from time to time. As for romantic relationships, she never had any.

Eye color: Bluish-green

Diseases/Allergies: Allergic to nickel and shrimp.

Body Modification: Double pierced ears.

Personality: She tends to be shy and awkward at first, but she warms up easily once she gets over it. She likes to look at the positive side of things but she dislikes sudden changes. She's cheerful, scatter-brained and a bit of a klutz. As an artist, she's imaginative and particularly curious about a lot of stuff, willing to explore everything to satisfy her hunger for knowledge. When there is something she believes in, she tends to be hardheaded and gets a bit argumentative at times, refusing to back down to prove that she's right. She never makes a plan for anything and is the type of person to go along with the flow.

Jaylee was but into a foster home not long after birth and was raised by the staff there until she was about three, at which time the Payne's happened across the small Jaylee while going to visit another child in hopes of adopting. The wide eyed, energetic girl captured the Paynes hearts and they left the foster home that day with Jaylee at their sides. Her stuttering just was something that came from a brain injury when she wasn't much older that newborn.

The family already had one child a year older than Jaylee herself. His name was Kole, the biological child of Garret and Lucy Payne.
