Fandom Another Dream (Bloodborne/Lovecraft)

Naruyashan

Reality's Janitor

"We are born of the blood."

Yharnam. For years, hunters have come to the town in search of something, whether it is the Healing Church and its fabled blood healing, adventure, or some other goal they think is worth seeking. Yet… something has changed. Hunters who survived the dream and were brought back to the Waking World are disappearing. Somehow, the rules have changed. Is it the Great Ones? The Hunter’s Dream itself? None know.

"Made men by the blood."

Yet, in the depths of the sea not far from Byrnnsworth and his college, nestled within the depths of the Earth lies something far beyond comprehension. After years of dormancy, something has arisen. Even the Great Ones feel the ripples of its ascension. Within the impossible city, Rhyleh, a soundless roar emerges.

"Undone by the blood."

The beast plague and what followed was considered the greatest threat humanity has ever known. Yet that is nothing in the face of the Shoggoth, and all that come with them. A new Hunt has begun, a new Dream has become reality. The Hunters Dream fell, and the Last Hope rose. The Great Ones lie in wait, watching, waiting, pondering.

The Pale Moon has left the sky, and the Sea of Ichor takes its place. The Night of the Hunt makes way for endless darkness. All that stands in its way is you.

“What is it you desire, good Hunter?”

This is just an idea that came to me a while back, and, while I might need a Co-GM, it could end up being pretty damn cool. Anyone interested?

I'd offer to help, but while my familiarity with Lovecraft borders on the unseemly, I can't afford Bloodborne.

I'll be watching, anyway - this reminds me of a project from a few months back.

'We are born of the blood, made men by the blood, undone by the blood.'

If I can find a lull in my schedule, I would be greatly interested in playing even a small part in such an idea. I've been entrapped by Bloodborne from the start, having been a purveyor of Lovecraftian lore for some time.
I too, will be watching.

Oh my Cthulhu, thanks. I've been struggling to remember Byrnnsworth's words, and I still, unfortunately, have school-and thus restricted internet access-to deal with.

Anyways, I'm hoping for 5-6 mentions of interest before I start up any threads, just so you all know.

Bloodborne lore is the jam to my toast, and the lovecraftian mythos is my peanut butter to my other slcie of toast, for this, i put them together and realize how crazy yet fitting this metaphor is, if indeed metaphor is the word used to describe what i just pulled out of my mind like a piece of annoying meat stuck in one's teeth.

In anycase, I am here, I warn you I love the powder keg motto then anything.

Just a tiny, tiny bit late, as in slightly under a year late.
