As a screen printer Customers are demanding, needy creatures. Almost, Everyone of them wants something original to the point that it wildly screams, "THIS IS MY SHIRT!" Some people are easy to please, while others not so much. Then there's that specific few that need to be picked up, drawn into an imaginary world and thrown in a whirl of clouded dust and flying fist. Repeatedly, over and over. I love art! I been drawing long before I was 5. Now 23, I don't exactly have a degree in Graphic arts to tell me how to do my job but 3 years of working here has given me enough time to work around the programs, and when I'm lost there is this giant book that can map it out for me while avoiding all the land mines. The fallowing Works to come is chicken scratch that never made it to production.

In the mean time Please give this little guys some love!

I feel you. I'm a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. I've worked on front-end web development, company branding, and illustrations for print and merchandise. Getting a degree was helpful in the sense that I could see how senior designers worked and how to successfully collaborate with my peers. Otherwise, it wasn't entirely necessary as long as I had a solid portfolio to show.

So true, I looked around the local schools thinking hey I could up my game but I'm hesitate to bring myself to pay hundreds of dollars for the same shit That I already get paid for.

It sounds like you're working more on the production end of things anyway. They usually gloss over most of the information regarding that end of the process anyway since it isn't the main focus, unless you're taking a course specifically for production, I guess.

Yeah a few designers I ran across found out its easy to layer 20 different clip-art graphics together to make a pretty picture but failed to recognized that printing a 3 color project should only really have 3 layers, or 4 if there's a need to have a white under base. The under base layers ofcourse needing to be undercut with a transparent outline some where between .75pt and 2pt wide. BUT who's listening that's just me Ranting to my computer screen. -Adds a few hungry sharks in my mix of whirling dust and angry fist -
