Half-Human, Half-Monster, Full-Swordsman.
Animal Village... a tranquil paradise, hidden away from the rest of the world, in a secret corner of the world known only as "Hidden Valley". Very few humans ever entered the place... but it was discovered by some... and the last one, whose name vanished into obscurity, even became the mayor.
The mayor was ambitious, and strong-willed. Thanks to their leadership, Animal Village became a beautiful Town, where numerous villagers gathered through, and started their own lives, some even at quite an early age.
As time moved on, the villagers grew. Families were started, Schools were built, and friendships were formed, which would then grow into the next generation.
It even took up the new name... Animal Town. As one of the most popular towns to date, it became one of the greatest towns in Hidden Valley.
Eventually, though, the Mayor... once young and spry... overlooked the beautiful work from high atop the mountain that their home was built; their once strong, dark hair, now pure white, and fragile. Their youth has all but left their body. The wrinkles had covered their face, as they took a brief glance at the graveyard for the Temple of Gaia, which rested atop the very peak of the mountain. The graves bore the names of so many familiar faces... even the mayor that came before was buried there, who was already close to his time when the Mayor was nothing more than a mere child.
Finally, tragedy had stricken Animal Town, as their beloved Mayor, whose assistant was given the time off to be with her grandchildren, fell to the ground, their hand clutched to their chest. It didn't take long for the medical experts to rush them to the hospital... but deep down, they knew that it was already too late.
The year is now 2021 - fifty years after the Mayor's Funeral. With the last of the old inhabitants now long gone, Animal Town sunk into a state of Depression. The position for Mayor was no longer relevant, for none would dare take up such a burden willingly.
Now the last of the Old Generation that remains is the elderly Mail Clerk, named Pelly. Of all the inhabitants, she would likely be the closest to a leader, seeing how she knew everyone of three generations, at this point... but it would only be a matter of time, before Gaia claims her, as well.
Many of the current generation were forced to survive on their own, with the aid of their great grandparents' teachings... how to build a home, how to live... how to survive. Though they weren't informed of the Humans, so curiosity and, perhaps, even fear, would be expected at first glance, should one ever find their way into the Village.
And such is, in fact, the case... when the next human happened to stumble across the old, worn village, unconscious after a shipwreck.
When word came around that the "Human", as he called himself, was going to inherit the Mayor's old house, by orders of Lady Pelly, many of the locals were quite surprised, to say the least! Shortly following his arrival, a few more Animals from the bordering lands of "Hidden Valley" begin to arrive, as well, whether by curiosity of the rumors, or by mere coincidence.
Could there be hope for Animal Town to become the Grand Haven it once was, though? Or will it eventually become nothing more than a Ghost Town?
Current Residents
Justin - Human ♂ - 27
The only human in Animal Town, and possibly the next Mayor, once Lady Pelly has passed through to Gaia. He respects her greatly, and can often be seen helping her with her wheelchair whenever she wishes to go outside. Although a bit shy around new faces, he can quickly adapt, and be a trustworthy friend, if given time and patience. Furthermore, he would oftentimes go fishing for Protein, while also gathering plants for anything else, since he's an Omnivore.
His current job is: "Pelly's Assistant". He makes "700 Bells per week", which is Minimum Wage, and has been working for "2 Weeks" now.
He currently has: "1,400 Bells", "Black Cap", "Black Vest/Blue Shirt", "Blue Jeans", "Brown Hiking Boots".
Physical Description: He has long, dark brown hair, thin stubble, bluish green eyes. He stands at 6 Feet, 1 Inch Tall, and Weighs 160 Lbs.
Current Home: The Old Mayor's Home, a Medium-Sized Home with a Red Roof and White Stone Walls. It is currently decorated with a "Classic" Theme, with Wooden Furniture and an "Old" Television. It has Two Bedrooms, though only one is currently being used. It can be found in the North side of Animal Town, right below "Gaia Square".

(The Photo appears to be over 50 Years Old, but is surprisingly well-kept, and in good condition!)
Lady Pelly (NPC) - Pelican ♀ - 98
The last of the Old Generation recorded to be alive to this date. Her wisdom is unquestionable, and her unshakable dedication to Animal Town are mostly what kept the place around for so long. She lives alone, in a small cottage near the Temple of Gaia, where she visits her sister and stepbrother daily, despite being bound to a Wheelchair. Though the years were unkind to her, with her being the last of her family left, she still works up a smile, and radiates an overall positive demeanor, stating that, "While I may be the last of my bloodline, I find this town as my Child... and by seeing it grow so well once, I can only keep looking up, to remind myself daily that it can still flourish! And I feel like our next Mayor will do just that!"
Her current job is: "Animal Town Leader". She makes "Unlimited Bells per week", which is Maximum Wage, and has been working for "80 Years" now.
She currently has: "Pink Frilly Dress", "Pink Lady's Umbrella", and "Worn Wheelchair".
Physical Description: She has aged white feathers adorning her body, and a bunch of wrinkles on her face. She stands at 4 Feet, 11 Inches Tall, and Weighs 145 Lbs.
Current Home: A Lone Cottage within Gaia Square. It is currently decorated with a "Rustic" Theme, with Bamboo Furniture and an "Old" Television. It has One Bedroom. It can be found in the North side of Animal Town, near the entrance to "Gaia Square".
A few additional residents can be seen here-and-there, but most of the others present are either Tourists or Visitors from the City, and/or Hidden Valley.
Hello, and welcome to my humble little Animal Crossing RP! I hope to keep it as active as possible, and I especially hope that the town grows with so many players! Currently, we are accepting Character Applications, which will have their own set of rules and guidelines. The ones here are merely a few pointers for you to get started by, once your character(s) are accepted.
Rule 1: No extra Humans for the time-being. Figured I'd go on and point this out there, but currently, there's only 1 Human that's discovered Animal Town after so long, and that was due to a Boat Accident, with him being the only survivor. However, this rule may change later on in the future. Until then, however, we'll have to stick with just one... and said character is for me to control, as well as Pelly. If you wish to interact with Pelly, you may. However, you'll have to wait for me to respond as her, which you could then copy said response. There are still a few "Generic NPCs", which would range from "Visitors" or "Tourists"... all, of course, are animals. If you wish to interact with an NPC that you can control, feel free to use them!
Rule 2: Be creative about your words. While I don't mind the occasional "Quick Post", let's try to keep things neat and orderly, please. For each time a new character speaks, or a new action occurs, please separate the lines by hitting "Enter" two times. You don't have to indent the first sentence of each paragraph, however, nor do you have to be perfect at Grammar and English. You just have to capitalize the first letter of the first word of each sentence.
Rule 3: Romance is allowed, but please keep it PG-13! You can kiss and tell, you can flirt, and you can suggest certain things, but you can not describe said things! "Keep that mess behind closed doors, ya got it?!"
Rule 4: You can have up to 4 characters per account! Use the "Tabs" function to separate each character, though, so that we know what they're doing at the time. This can be done by simply writing [ Tabs ] and follow it up with [ Tab=Character 1 Name ], write what you want them to say/do, and end it like [ /Tab ]. After which, you would follow up with [ Tab=Character 2 Name ] and repeat, ending it with [ /Tab ] and continuing up to 2 more times (for your third and fourth characters), but then, after you're done with your last character, end it with [ / Tab ][ /Tabs ] afterwards! (Remember to remove the spaces between the [ ]'s, as I wrote them to keep the code from making the Tabs on the demonstration piece... still kinda new to this site, after all.
Rule 5: Keep the violence to a MINIMUM! Sure, we've got aggressive people who just want to hit something, and you can always RP an attempt at hitting someone, but the other person would have to reply with the result, which would either be a "Hit Taken", "Dodge", "Hit, with a follup-up ATTEMPT", or a "Dodge, with a follow-up ATTEMPT".
(Examples: ( Blue is Ryan's Character, and Red is Jake's, for Demonstrational Purposes. You don't have to color your text if you don't want to! )
Ryan the Eagle attempts to peck Jake the Monkey in the scalp for calling him a 'Featherhead'.
Jake, having not been prepared for the retaliation, takes the Eagle's beak to the forehead, which would leave a small red mark where it struck. Angered by this, he follows up with an attempt at swinging his right fist towards Ryan's chest.
Seeing how Ryan is, technically, an Athlete (a situation that would've been clarified via Character App), he is able to take the punch to the chest with little to no resistance. He would then glare at the Monkey, before raising a wing towards him in a Rude Gesture. He would then turn around, before storming off, now in a fit of anger!
Jake responds with a Rude Gesture of his own, before turning to leave, also in a fit of anger!)
(Here's an Example of what not to do, as well!
Ryan pecks Jake in the scalp, causing him to bleed! He falls to the floor, writhing in agony because the Eagle is a freakin' BEAST of a Predator!
Jake doesn't get pecked. Instead, Jake punches Ryan and snaps his finger, calling in his boys from the Underground to torch the Eagle with Flamethrowers, Rocket Launchers, and Massive Explosions (which Jake knows better than to look at for obvious reasons)! He then dons a leather coat that he got from some random biker and steps out of the burning building, slipping on some epic shades that were tucked inside the jacket, conveniently. Jake then goes all Terminator on the rest of the town, only sparing the women, which he would then breed with, and raise a Killer Robot Army, because he was, technically, a Cyborg the whole time, sent to populate the world with Epic Alien Technology, because of Science!)
... Pretty straight-forward, really... and yes, before you ask, I did cringe while writing that stupid thing you just read, as well. Might work for a Trollfic, but this ain't a Trollfic, is it?
Rule 6: No Random Deaths, Murder, Harrassment, etc. allowed here! Your character can be a Rude character, but be sure that you let them know via OOC (( < by using these In-Character, making the last Tab you use an "OOC" Tab, or telling 'em in the OOC Channel >> )) so that the player doesn't take it personally! Also, you have to realistically be there In-Character to interact with each other! So you can't "Insult someone behind their back" then have them reply with "Yeah, well your mother was a goat!" while Person A is in his house over by the beach, while Person B is inside a Hotel Room over in the City.
As far as "Death" or "Character Deletion" goes, if you wish for your character to "Pass Away", or "Move On", then you'll have to either:
A. Message me that your character is ready to "Go to Gaia", and I'll announce it as an RP Post.
B. Move Out, so that they may "Live the rest of their life in Hidden Valley". Whenever this happens, you'll have to give your character a 24-Hour "Packing" Period, so as to simulate them "Packing up their belongings". This way, players can give their friend either a "Farewell", or a "Request to Stay". It's your character, however, so what you choose is, in the end, up to you, whether you'll give into their requests, or basically say "I've made my decision."
C. Because there's always an "Option C", there's also "Transforming PC to Another Player, or NPC", if you've lost interest in the character completely, but don't want them to just up and "Go Away". You can either convert them to an "NPC" by messaging me in OOC, and I'll take control of them (or you can specify your char as "Public NPC" for other players to use freely), or you can "Transfer" them to another player by messaging me the Character, and the Recipient. You both have to let me know, and the Recipient has to have less than 4 Characters already on their account!
Rule 7: If you wish for your character to start a relationship with another player or NPC, be sure to have OOC Consent, first! You can also have your own Characters interact with each-other, be in a relationship, etc. However, you'll have to write the things that go on from their perspectives, as well!
Rule 8: Family Applications will require OOC Consent from all players of said family. Note that time will progress differently from the Real-World Time that we all know and love from Animal Crossing, so you won't have to worry about rushing to respond.
Rule 9: Only I can Timeskip! You can request a Timeskip in the OOC Channel, or a message, and I'll consider it. However, whenever someone's in a Conversation, the Timeskip will have to wait until they are done! (If they don't respond to each-other within 24 Hours, though, then the Timeskip will take place, and their Conversation, Skipped as well. They can catch up in the OOC Channel, so that they don't miss what their characters were getting at, though.)
Rule 10: If nobody posts within 24 hours, then you are free to Double-Post if you want to keep things alive. I can't promise that I'll be there 24/7, due to Work and Life in general, after all. However, I'll be here as frequently as I can, and will respond as soon as I am able to!
Rule 11: If in doubt, ask around! We're all here to have fun, be happy, and build up a story together!
Rule 12: Be respectful, and have fun! I'll update the main page as time progresses, so stay tuned!
Current Layout:
North: Mountainous Region, containing the Furniture Shop (Unoccupied), Tailor (Unoccupied), Town Hall (Occupied: Lady Pelly), Temple of Gaia, Graveyard, School (Occupied: Generic NPCs), Hospital (Occupied: Generic NPCs), and Old Mayor's Home (Occupied: Justin).
Center: Flatlands, with an intersection and a river that spreads across from it, with two stone bridges at the left and right. Contains plenty of open fields, with 5 Small Houses, 3 of which will need to be Restored.
South: Mostly oceanic, with plenty of Seashells and Random Artifacts that drift ashore. Contains 6 houses, with 3 in disrepair, and 1 unoccupied.
East: Plenty of Fruit Trees rest here, as well as a few small ponds. There appears to also be more grass and flowers here, than anywhere else. Doesn't contain any houses, but does contain a Park Area, where children can come to play, as well as a Picnic Area for families to visit. Festivals are oftentimes held here.
West: Mostly covered in dirt and Cobblestone. Many houses are here, as it would likely be the Main Residential Area. Houses of varying shapes and sizes are here. However, many of the squares of land would be nothing more than just that: plots of land waiting to be built on.
(( More will be updated in due time! Until then, feel free to get settled in, once your character(s) is(are) accepted! ))
