Trails of Black Steel is a campaign using the Anima Beyond Fantasy Core Exxet system, where you begin as students in the Great University of Lucrecio. You start as part of a new military class offered by the University offering field studies where you get to travel around the World of Gaia and uncover its secrets and dealing with various plots all sponsored to understand more the current situation of the world, in particular the skirmishes between the Azur Alliance and the Empire of Abel are escalating.
You will start with a level 1 character. Furthermore, you can play a human including Nephilims. Method 5 but using 65 points for your characteristics, 10 counts as 11 points. Unification of Ki from Dominus Exxet is of course used.
We will be using the core exxet rules changes, it adds a few more things for character creation and changes some rules (Magic spells use degrees and intelligence more but if you need assistance with that just ask)
Supernatural Level: Medium (if not familiar with the rule in GM toolkit I can help you with that)
House Rules:
-If you play a Nephilim, you can pick the learning advantage to remove the XP penalty.
-The Slow learning disadvantage is removed.
-Destiny Points have more uses, but for now, no need to talk about it too much.
-The "Blood of the Dead" Legacy allows a summoner who possesses it to use Summoning abilities on undead without needing to be undead himself. (Some artificial undead such as various Black Sun prototypes are excluded). In addition, the damage it deals is not sacrificial, but recovers at half the normal rate, whether by natural or unnatural means.
-Anima Studio has clarified some rules over the years, we will in general use said clarifications of the rules when it comes up.
Limits on Stats:
- For a normal human, the maximum attainable in a stat is 13. This limiter can be broken, totally or partially, in specific cases by events that occur during the plot, or by special circumstances such as possessing legacies, Ancient Blood... Each specific case will be discussed between master and player.
Magic:
-The maximum attainable magic path level is 80. To learn spells of level 80 and above you will need the means to learn it (someone or something to teach you the basics at least) or a proper reason in the plot to learn it yourself. (Specific exceptions are possible depending on the character and why).
-For the study of magic, the Learning "Study" limitation on page 8 of the Arcana Exxet is removed. To cover a daily study quota, 16 hours of study must be spread over as much time as needed.
-Defined Magic Projection: The defined Magic projection spheres give one less degree of projection each, from the first one, which becomes 80 projection, to the last one, which becomes 320.

Lost Logias (Int, Knowledge) in Intellectual, a secondary ability focusing on the Lost Logias of Solomon.
