One Weird Winker
Another day when mum's away,
And Dad decides to play the game,
The game he plays hurts those who participate
Causes anger to precipitate,
From the watery solution.
Sink it down the bottom,
Bottle it up in a jar,
I keep telling myself this,
While singing to myself with my acoustic guitar,
What's this?
Water flowing down my cheeks?
Hold it in and don't them see
The weak little girl inside of me.
I don't think he remembers the words he spits out,
The hurt he dishes out,
The heart he rips out,
And serves on a silver platter.
Call whatever you may,
Justify every hurtful word you say,
But it's still an insult,
No matter how much you try to reason with me.
My eyes can clearly see,
The monster that stands before me.
Playing this game everyday.
