One Time Luck
Roleplay Availability
Roleplay Type(s)
I'm stupidly new to this. Not writing or roleplay, just this whole boxed up website thing. I'm here because I heard this is where all the old people hang out.

About me:

I'm over 30, write in the third person, past tense, almost any genre and most genders. My availability is sporadic based on life, work and motivation, but I generally reply daily. My posts range from a few paragraphs to many and I'm familiar with the etiquette. My pronouns are whatever.

I'm a plotter and planner. My characters, and I will have multiple characters in addition to a main, all have backstories, goals and flaws. They know where they've been and where they're going.

Numbers wise, I've written more morally grey, antisocial bastards than anything else. But I have plenty of good, polite, ignorant and heroic characters as well. Just so you know where my heart is on this - I like a complex mess of a man no matter who's writing him.

For genres I can do just about anything. That said, I like keeping fantasy elements to the fringes and stay mostly grounded in reality. High fantasy is the only thing that's off my menu. Big sci-fi concepts are a hell yes. The fae are a hell yes.

Romance is a wish, a hope, but not a need. Never front and center to a story. How far I go into details depends on mutual comfort and consent, as long as it makes sense in the story.

I'm looking for:

People over 25 who write in the third person, past tense, who like to plot and plan.

Here's a plot
It's not my only plot and it's not all I've written about the plot. I like to put things in broad strokes to see if people want to build on it with their own ideas.

Vampires and Mobsters
Set in the later 1800's or early 1900's

The retired head of a crime family enjoyed traveling the Appalachian Trail in relative solitude until he happened upon a lone woman at a campfire. She welcomed him in to share the warmth and company.

They drained a bottle while exchanging stories from their lives, both playing coy with details. Over the course of the night he started to wonder if her stories were true, first person accounts. If so, her life would span over half a century, strange for a woman who looked like she was in her 20’s. When he figured out the truth, she gave him a choice - become like her and return to his former life with renewed strength, no fear of death and her. That, or become her fodder.

Or, he could get away having gained a new enemy and the knowledge of something more out there.

Extra Things
- Vampires are dying from an unknown disease, there aren’t many left
- Her old servant was a double agent for vampire hunters and is still tracking her down

A word bank because:
Fateful Night - Solitude Seeker - Power and Peril - Dangerous Proposition - Undying Rivals - Hunter or Prey - Shared Darkness - Bound by Blood - Unquenchable Thirst - A Game of Trust - Edge of Deception - Dark Temptations - Return to Power

If you've decided this is your bag of beans, you can message me here. Let me know if you liked this idea, which part you'd like to write, or if you have another idea you think I'd like. I always trade samples before starting an rp.

There's a link on my profile with all my plots and a few samples.
