I flew down closer to Jep worried."They have to be okay, even at this pace it will take us three days to get there with no rest!"

Jepitha growled. "There's got ti be a way to go faster." He was going as fast as he can. Tue land behind looking like it's been through a snow storm.

Cross frowned but he did not seem to show any sign of surrendering,"oh yea...I surrender and ya kill us anyway....like hell..." He crossed his arms.Shadow growled scratching and biting at the one who was holding him. The bear stood behind Cross and growled as it waited for Cross to tell it what to do.

I cried out in pain as they tapped my leg with the baton. I went limp as they pulled it away."We wont kill anyone here, surrender now or the girl gets it again." They said stuffing Shadow in a bag he couldn't claw through. I looked at Cross with tears in my eyes.

Cross sighed," yea..whatever..." He wasn't believing a word they said,though their wasn't much he could do in this position. Turning to Berry he said," run...." The bear huffed and turned to leave. Running out of the place but not going far,then turning to the monks with a annoyed looked he huffed," fine...." He said relaxing a bit and stood up straight.

I was cuffed with rocks and they cuffed Cross. They then dragged us down to a basement in chains and hooked us up to a wall. They threw Shadow in a cage and then they let a couple of novices in. They grabbed hot irons and pressed one against my skin singing my blue fur."Tell us, your chief is striking back against us isn't he!"

A branch fell down from a tree and hit my wing making me fall to the ground."OW."

Jepitha stopped and ran over to Angel. "You alright love?"

Cross' body went limp as they cuffed him,he went with them with no struggle and chained to the wall with ease. He watched as they asked Emerald questions,he just stood there and sighed seeing he had nothing they wanted.

I cried out in pain from the red hot irons."I don't know anything about the chief, I only take care of the kids!" I cried out trying to make them stop but they just kept hitting me with the burning hot piece of metal.

I looked up at Jep."I'm fine. It just surprised me." I said and stood up and then winced, as I stretched my wings. I had sprained it and would not be able to fly for a day.

Jepitha nodded. "Hold on." He wanted her to piggy back so he can get going.

Cross growled,"she's told you she doesnt know." He said annoyed at the fact that they kept hitting her.

I look as they back handed Cross and then they pulled me away from the wall."How about we start burning your little boyfriend here, don't worry we wont kill him but if you still don't talk we'll move onto the cat! We know you know something!" They hit Cross on the chest holding the iron down long enough so the skin would start to blister and then pulling it away. I turned away crying. I didn't know anything about my fathers plans!

I reached out to Jep."You go i'll catch up with the kittens, i can protect myself and anycase it's just a matter of resting my wing for the night and i'll be flying in the morning."

Jepitha sighed then nodded. "Alright." He kissed her on the lips. "I'll see you tomorrow." He stared sliding again. When he was fifty feet away he started going at max speed again.

Cross didn't flinch a bit when they held the hot iron to his chest,he glared at them." Do as much as you want,not like I haven't been through worse..." He growled,he knew Emerald didn't know anything and these idiots wouldn't stop. Though giving them false information might trick them,and may even give them an advantage.

I looked at Cross crying I didn't want him hurt."Okay, I'll tell you!" I said and they moved away from cross over to me."My father left to the city to do some recon." I said and cringed. They didn't do anything and left. I looked at Cross as they left."Cross. Are you okay, i'm sorry this happened." I said and tears came to my eyes.

Cross smiled,"dont worry,I'm all good.not the first time I've been burnt." He chuckled." Did your father really leave?" He asked.

I sighed feeling a bit better that he wasn't hurt to bad."Yes, I wont tell you thier full plans but he left our clan with our best warriors leaving the women and children behind." I said and then I felt a wane in the magic and I fell to the floor but Cross was still strung up. I didn't understand it and started towards Cross to free him.

"Oh...I hope your clan is okay...."he sighed noticing that she fell to the floor,he puffed his Cheeks out." Well that's no fair..." He watched as she came over to help him.

Jepitha kept going. 'Gotta go.' He kept repeating in his mind. Even at over a hundred miles per hour it didn't seem fast enough. He didn't looked back but he could tell that everything that he passed was now covered in snow. 'Gotta go. Gotta save.' He said in his head.

I got up to Cross and picked up a rock hitting at the cuffs. I fell back to the floor as the door opened and five men in robes came in. The grabbed all of my limbs and carried me over to a table tying me down. The pulled out a snake and layed in on my chest."This snake is very deadly. I want you to take the shape of it, you are then to bite the multi-tounge over there."

Cross frowned,"multi-tongued?...." He looked to the snake and smiled. Clicking his tongue a little to get its attention,"so much for no one getting killed...."

They chuckled."We only need the girl now." I refused to shift so they grabbed me and Cross and dragged us to the top of the building. I was tied up against a wall well they started to big out hot irons. I screamed in pain as they layed one on my arm. They looked at Cross tied to a pole in the middle."We will sell you both to slavery, even though it would have been nicer to kill you and take the girl as a prize."

Jepitha kept going. He was exhausted. He can't remember when was the last time he relaxed and closed.his eyes for a nap at least. He lost count on The time. He couldn't tell what way he was going now. He just kept going straight. Hoping he was getting close.

Cross sighed,"it's like we're taking a course though my past...." He whispered annoyed to himself.staring at the monks as they looked to him he didn't seem surprised at their plan," it would be easier to just send me to slavery and keep her wouldn't it?..."
