Cross watched as Emerald explained,happy that he didn't have to try to. He nodded," yes,but how will we get where we need to go?"

I thought for a moment and then shifted into an elephant."Get on." I said and smiled as I stuck my nose out to help them up onto my back.

Jepitha looked at the car. "Couldn't we just use the car?" he asked standing up.

I looked at Jep and giggled."Don't you remember it's broke?"

 

[Robin man]

Jepitha scratched his head. "Right." He held her hand. "Elephant it is then."

 

[Ember Bare]

Cross had already climbed up and jumped onto Emerald's back,he smiled." Well this brings back old memories." He chuckled sitting down seeming to know what he was doing.

 

[Robin man]

Jepitha climbed up. "You rode elephants before Cross?"

 

[Ember Bare]

He nodded,"of course,where I lived when I was little there were a whole bunch of wild animals. Including plenty of elephants,being able to talk to them,especially the old ones,was a lot of fun." He smiled.

"So you lived in India or Africa?" Jepitha asked.

I climbed up next and sat behind Cross holding onto his side afraid of falling off. I layed my head on his back afraid.

" well yea,I told you before I was born in Niger...that's in the middle of Africa. And my family traveled a lot so I've seen quite a lot." Cross nodded,noticing Angel behind him he helped her stayed on." It'll be fine,no need to be so scared." He smiled.

 

[Robin man]

Jepitha smiled softly. "Well in that case. Let's roll."

I glared at Cross."You can talk to her but what if she gets grumpy with me and throws me off!"

I chuckled and reached up with my nose poking Cross."Get them to hurry up."

Cross sighed," now she doesn't seem that mean...besides if your about to fall do you really think me or Jep wouldn't catch you." He heard Emerald and pat her on the head." I think were ready to go now"

I nodded and took off at a very fast steady walk."I'm heading towards a hill near here, there should be an out base of my people there and they can tell us all about the creatures in the area.

 

[Robin man]

Jepitha nodded. "Quite a amazing view up here."

 

[Ember Bare]

"Okay...but when it comes to climbing a mountain can an elephant make it?" He asked Emerald not knowing of any elephants living in the mountains.

"I'll shift into my true form when get to the camp, though I warn you it might be a little weird there." I said and kept moving.

I sat back holding my purse with our kittens in it tight. I kissed Jep's cheek and leaned on his as I closed my eyes.

Jepitha spoke. "No. From what I know elephants aren't made for small spaces, sharp and raggid surface, and the small amount of oxygen. Elephants can survive in the enviroment."

 

[Ember Bare]

Cross nodded."she's gonna change when we get where were going,and she warned me. The place were going in a little weird...though weird could mean I lot of things..."he sighed." Why can't something be normal..." Cross then remember." Oh yea,were going to some kind of camp to get info on these monk dudes. Almost forgot to tell ya." He chuckled. Shadow climbed over to Emeralds head and sat down looking ahead.

I stopped close to the camp and told them to get off. Once they were off I started to shift. I shrunk back down to human form then sighed as my eyes went red and my skin turned blue and sprouted fur. I sprouted a tail and grew claws just as a guy who looked more like a bird landed in the trees above us."Emerald, why did you bring these people here."

 

[Robin man]

Jepitha looked at Emerald and the birdman. "This might need some explaining."

 

[Ember Bare]

"I get it." Cross smiled,looking to the stranger Cross slightly bowed and smiled."sorry to intrude but we have some bad news...and we came to help." He sighed.

I looked at Cross and smiled he wasn't afraid o my true form."Tress, just let us in." I said and he sighed."I would have taken them out right away if they were with you chiefs daughter." He flew away and I lead the others into the camp and told them to wait well I went off to find the info pot.

Jepitha followed her in the village. "Interesting." He said to himself.
