"Eh....yea....let's go with that..." Cross nodded obviously trying to drop he subject." What are you most afraid of?"

Jepitha smiled. "For as ironic as this is." He pulled out his zippo and lite it. He hoped Cross knew what he meant by lighting it.

 

[Ember Bare]

Cross chuckled,"I can understand that....actually that's pretty obvious bow that I think about it."

 

[Robin man]

Jepitha's smiled disappeared. "The reason for it. Not so funny though." He put his zippo away and sighed.

 

[Ember Bare]

".....can I ask you why?...." He was pretty hesitant about asking,he didn't want to ask another question like his parents.

 

[Robin man]

Jepitha nodded. "When we get the apartment I'll tell you." The elevator opened and he walked out and headed to the apartment.

Cross went silent again surprised when the elevator opened,leaving the death box Cross looked confused at the fact that he was so distracted that he didn't notice they had been riding the elevator. He quietly followed Jep to the apartment with Shadow following in the back.

Jepitha unlocked the door and walked in and was greeted by Tiger. He smiled softly. "Hey there."

Tiger heard the door opened and ran in and saw Jepitha. "Daddy!" He yelled running to him and jumped landing on his chest.

Cross walking in and chuckled at Tiger,"he calls you daddy already..." Shadow tensed up when he heard Tiger and sneaking in he kept his eye out for the other trouble maker,he made his way to the couch and hopped up on it.

Jepitha chuckled when he heard Cross. "Well that's good." He sighed and put Tiger down. "Alright now I'll show you why I'm scared of fire." He took off his shirt and showed his back. The entire left half was scared. Then he showed his abdomen. His stomach was scared and all of the way up to his left shoulder was scared also. "All of this was caused by fire." He said softly and holding back tears.

Cross watched him confused for a moment till he noticed the scars,his eyes slightly widened by surprise."You.....your just like me...." He said in a very quiet whisper looking down at the ground,he sighed."alright....I guess I do owe you now..." He completely took off his mask slipping it off his head and then also took of his shirt," my greatest fear..." His body was also scared up,but not like Jep's. Cross's scars were made by knives,hot metal,and needles,they were all over his body. His arms,his back,his chest and neck in a very detailed design and were obviously on purpose." Is humans...." His gaze was still down to the ground."under my pants is the same way.......this what I got when people found out what I was and could do..."

 

[Robin man]

Jepitha looked at Crosses scars. He put his hands over his mouth. "I'm sorry Cross." He said in a soft tone. He walked over and gently patted him on his shoulder. "You don't have to worry about any of that here. We got your back. Always."

 

[Ember Bare]

Cross slightly tensed up when he was touched,though eased at jrp's words." I-i know....." He smiled." People here are different and I know that after 2 years....but still....."

 

[Robin man]

Jepitha nodded and went back to the kitchen. "While it took several people to do all that. Mine took only one. But not trying not to show off or anything." He went to the fridge and pulled out a sprite.

 

[Ember Bare]

Cross chuckled,"a lot more the several....." He sighed but hr liked not wearing his shirt for once,having to cover his whole body was hot and a pain.

 

[Robin man]

Jepitha looked over at Cross. "You want something to drink?"

 

[Ember Bare]

Cross nodded." Sure...I'll have a water."

 

[Robin man]

Jepitha nodded and pulled out a bottle of water. He tossed the bottle to him. "So? What now?"

 

[Ember Bare]

Cross caught the bottle and shrugged his shoulders lazily as he fell across the couch,"sleep...." He sighed not even putting his shirt back on.

 

[Robin man]

Jepitha chuckled and he sat down in his recliner. "Sounds good to me." Tiger climbed up and curled up into a ball on his lap.

Cross smiled when he agreed and got comfortable on the couch,it wouldn't take long for him to fall asleep. Shadow slept on the top of the couch spread out already,happy that he wasn't bothered yet.

Tiger fell asleep instantly. Jepitha took a little while but he was finally able to go to sleep.

I flew down low as I could go to the house and landed on the deck with a tumble coughing up some blood. I stumbled inside and saw the guys were shirtless but I didn't mind."Guys, I was attacked by birds on my way back. He ran off and left me all alone, I saw him fall out of the sky near central park."

Jepitha woke up and saw Angle. He quickly got up and ran to the bathroom. He came out with bandages and Neosporin. "Come on sit so I can bandage you up."

Cross woke up when he had heard her enter,looking over he was surprised at the sight before him."why would birds attack you....?" Cross was a bit confused and now fairly curious wondering if he could get a word with those birds to see what was up.
