Ryder walks along the broken streets with arms folded looking at the ground kicking rocks and gravel that came near him each time he took a step. He made his way onto a bridge that had a roaring lake beneath it that if it broke that you would die instantly. The bridge led to a trail taking you into the woods where it becomes territorial for us angels. Besides it's where all the demons would be anyways. Ryder makes his way through bushes and leaves on the ground crunching under his feet. Ryder was always loved the way the demon's territory looked not necessarily the demons but the scenery. He couldn't stand demons but neither could the demons. Demons and Angels have always hated each other but sometime there is gonna be a moment where we are going to have to join together and fight something that no man could fight alone.

Val was just lazily sleeping in the trees, minding his own business when he heard branches snap beneaths him while he led on a big branch of an oak tree. Slowly, he opened his eye and looked to the side to see someone unfamiliar and most unwelcome. He could sense what he was by the sickly sweet aura that radiates from him which always made him feel a little woozy by it.


"What's a thing like you doing here?" He demanded to know, unable to be seen as he was so far up and in the shadows, knowing this he made an attempt to be seen perhaps to scare the trespasser. He stood up on on the branch and simply jumped backwards, catching the branch with his hands as the last second to swing and land effortlessly on the ground. Casually, he patted down his clothes to make sure it wasn't dusty before standing up straight, glaring at him with his bright cold green eye; scowling at him cruelly. It was true he practically hated everyone, but he hated Angels even more, although, he didn't mind animals as he knew they couldn't betray him...


There were no humans about, so he stayed in his true form, his long forked tail hitting against his leg impatiently, long pointed ears and demon horns appearing through hid hair.


"Do you have a death wish or something...?" He questioned him again still scowling which was normal for him, fangs protruding from his mouth.

Ryder gulped stepping back raising his arms up "i-i'm not doing anything..." he stood there frozen looking into the demons eyes then glancing down at his sharp teeth. "I-im sorry i-i should be going then" he spoke shifting his body the other trying to make a run for it but ended up stumbling over a rock landing on his hands and knees. Ryder cringed his face as the pain hit him sending a searing pain down his leg the rock caused blood to seap through his skin. He looks up at the unpleasant demon with fear in his big blue eyes "so sorry to disturb you" he scatters two his feet limping away slowly.

Val looked emotionlessly as the Angel dithered about, obviously his appearance was scaring him which was the idea. He just stood there when the guy fell over, but now blood was coming from the wound on his leg which wasn't good.


"You're going to have a whole hoard of my guys stalking you if you're bleeding like that...Wait there." Val had no real idea why he was helping someone who was his enemy...Perhaps because he was so helpless, but one thing for sure was that old habits die hard. After a few minutes, he came back with a roll of linen bandages and a disinfected cloth to wipe the wound with. The smell of blood distracted him also, more the reason to sort the problem out.


"I'll escort you until you're away from here, but let's make this clear. I'm only doing this seen as you wouldn't survive on your own, nothing else." He made it very clear what his intentions were, licking the smudge of blood on his thumb as he waited for his answer.

Ryder looks up at him and sighs as val is helping him with his wound "uh sure thanks...but honestly i can find my way out just fine" he spoke running a hand through his hair. He didn't know why a demon would be helping him Ryder thought it was kinda weird so he stood up twirling his thumbs with his hair falling in his face. "i dont need help i can find my own way out" he sputters shifting his body the other way making his run for the it hoping to find that bridge he crossed to get here.

Val shrugged his shoulder, to be honest he didn't want to help him as he was an Angel and it was too much effort, especially because it was midday which, unfortunately for him meant sunshine , he guessed he just felt sorry for him.


'He doesn't have to run...Particular after hurting his leg, but whatever...' He thought, thinking how strange he was. Casually, he climbed back up the tree and attempted to go back to sleep, waiting for the sun to go down or at least go behind the clouds so he could be bothered to do something.

Ryder tried to run and run to find the bridge but he kept on going in circles it was making him frustrated you can see it in his face. He sighed and thought maybe he shouldve actually let the guy help him. Ryder made his way back with a tense facial expression across his face chewing his lower lip. "hey umm....i might actually need your help" he spoke looking up at the tree seeing Val laying there staring up at the sky not doing anything. Ryder wanted to climb the tree to get his attention but that could possibly make him angry so he decided to stay low on the ground for safety reasons.

"Hm...So you are lost then..." He noted as he heard the familiar voice again, peering down at him. This time he just jumped down, just wanting to be left in peace, but he knew he couldn't get that until he got the angel away.


"Where do you need to go...?" Val questioned him with a tired annoyed tone, turning into his 'human' form, just in case where they were going had humans around, his tail and horns disappearing whilst his ears were no longer pointed as well as his teeth.

Ryder looks over at him and nods shifting his body to face Val "yeah im lost, i just need to get to the bridge" he spoke nervously chewing his lower lip causing blood to seep through his soft skin.

'Is he doing it on purpose...?!' He growled inside as he noticed that he'd being chewing at his bottom lips so much now that was bleeding which distracted and made the demon a little unable to control himself as his natural instinct was to drink some of his blood, even though it was an anger which he, of course, despised.


"Quit making yourself bleed...Didn't you know it's distracting for us demons...?" He told him with an irritated tone, frowning more, obviously seeing he was trying to restrain himself. Slowly, he began heading off without him to the direction of the bridge, not really caring at the moment if he took the incentive to follow or not.

Ryder looks down at his feet and spoke softly "im sorry i cant help it i get nervous easily" glancing up at Val then noticing that he was leaving him behind. Ryder caught up with him "dude i thought you were showing me not leaving me" he says placing his hands in his pocket thinking about what he just said caused him to keep his mouth shut.

Val knew he'd catch up to him and hearing his footsteps behind him he just carried on, not looking back as he thought of many other things he could be doing that was much better than helping this stranger out for not apparent reason.


"It's over there..." He spoke plainly, pointing at the bridge that could just be seen in the distance. "..." He waited there just in case there was anything else he needed before going back to resting whilst the sun calmed down as he couldn't stand how bright or hot it was.

Ryder looks up at him meeting his eyes "haha thanks for...you know helping me" he spoke making his way towards the bridge with a smile that appeared acrossed his lips.

"No problem..." He muttered almost unaudiably as he wasn't really one to help others and found this strange. A small quick flutter was felt in his heart as he saw him smile, making him look surprised and confused for a moment before scowling...


'It's probably the affect Angels give...' He thought, slowly disappearing into the forest once again.

Ryder felt his cheeks warm up at though him passes through his mind he looks back seeing Val traveling back to where he had first saw him. Causing his heart to be faster so Ryder rushed across the bridge and into his territory.

Val turned around to see the Angel coming back, much to his disma, still he waited until he caught up to see why he'd suddenly come back.


"What is it?" He demanded, really just wanting to curl back up in the trees to get more sleep and get away from the sun.

Ryder looks at him and smiles widely "i just came back to say thank you!" he spoke breathing heavily.

"...No problem..." He said slower than he'd liked to have done, finding the idea that an Angel, of all things, was grateful to a Demon such as himself. Val scowl decreased a little, wondering why he was smiling like that at him.


"Is there anything else, Angel?" Val asked, looking at him with his green eye.

Ryder shook is head and blushed "nope" he smiles peering into his green eyes. "ill just come to you if i need anything else" he spoke softly then shifted his body towards the bridge waving slightly then placing his hands in his pocket staring at the ground.

Val found it even more strange when he saw his cheeks begin to flush... 'What the- Is he hot or something...?' He wondered, looking at him a little confused, still feeling a little bit uncomfortable that he was smiling at him so much. 'I was just helping him out...It doesn't mean were suddenly friend or I'm willing to do it again...' He sighed internally. When he headed back to the bridge, the Demon thought that he could finally get some more sleep, not bothering to wave at him, just staring at him for a second more before climbing back up the tree for the third time that day.


"What a strange person...Must be delirious from all the sun...Yeah, that's it..." He decided, closing his eyes tiredly.

Ryder sat on the bridge staring at the roaring water beneath his feet as the sun his pale skin bringing out his eyes and hair. He pulled out a sketchpad and began drawing what was in front of him with a huge smile acrossed his lips.

After a while, Val got bored, not being able to go back to sleep, despite his tiredness, so he jumped off the tree branch and headed towards Ryder. Without saying anything he peered over his sketchpad to see what he was drawing, not being able to quite see it yet.


"What have you been drawing...?" He asked curiously.

Ryder jumps holding his sketch pad to his chest taking a deep breath scanning Val's face. A smile creeps a crossed his lips then answers him with a soft tone. "The view in front of me" he points out In front of him at the beautiful sight.

Val sat next to him as he watched him draw with interest, although it may not show on his face.


"How can you do that...? You make it look so easy..." He watched him draw carefully, constantly looking at the subject, finding it was a perfect drawing of it.

Ryder looks up at Val giving a warm smile. "I've been drawing for a long time" he mutters looking up at him "you know how?" He asks meeting his eyes with an eyebrow raised.
