Raku
Four Thousand Club
Karai was glad he could do what he loved doing the most, feeling purposeful. Helping people with their needs, entertaining, he just wanted to feel like he was doing something to help. Tonight's performance didn't make him feel like he helped anyone, rather he felt that they made the audiences night worse with the horrid performance. Come on Karai, stop being so negative. Look to tomorrow and how great it will be, won't you? he though as he finished setting up. He nodded to Andy as he left to feed the animals. He took a look around their camp to see a couple of performers, whose names were too slipping his mind, were practicing their routines. Karai thought he should join them and practice his own, but the sun was setting and he needed some sleep.
Walking back to one of the wagons to retrieve his sleeping necessities, he felt that something was off about their surroundings. An ominous blanket fell upon the camp as the surrounding would grow quiet. Karai shook it off, believing it was just the stress of a hard, hot day getting to him. One thing he always welcomed was a temperature drop. He could feel it get a little cooler as the previously orange sky was now replaced with darkness and littered with stars. The cold was never a bother to him due to the fur. In fact, he welcomed the cold, almost praying it would come. Skin curled up at the edges of his mouth to form a grin. Time to sleep he thought as he returned to the site. As he lay his items down for rest he took notice to one of the restless troupemates. Karai believed she was the twirler. "Can't sleep?" he asked kindly with a grin as he lay down and looked upon the stars. His ears were twitch a bit as he heard movement from the forest. You're just stressed out Karai, calm down.
