An Unconventional Adventure [Inactive]

"I agree, with Ireth. You wouldn't slow down the horse. But now we would have to wait at least an hour for the supplies. Are you two willing to wait?" She crosses her arms.

"Good," Alexandra said as she mounts her horse. She leaves them and an hour later she returns with three satchels.

Phoenix stands expectantly at the same place they had all met. In her free time, she had spoken with the locals, gathering all the information she could on the dragon.

Ireth had also stayed near, keeping an eye on Phoenix lest she get into trouble again. Though when the giant white deer in the middle of town had begun to attract attention it shifted back into crown form and stayed settled on Ireth's shoulder.

Alexandra gets off her horse and hands Phoenix a satchel, "Here you go, Phoenix" she walks up to Ireth and hands him a satchel. "Here you go, Ireth"

Alexandra nods, "Yes, the more ground we can cover the better" she mounts her horse and waits for Phoenix

Phoenix pulls herself onto the horse with a little difficulty. As she mounts the horse, she can't help but be a little embarrassed sitting behind Alexandra and blushes a bit. She nods, indicating that she's ready to go.

Ireth nods and his crow shifts to the deer one more. He hoists himself up and watches Phoenix get onto Alexandra's horse.

Alexandra doesn't really know why she's blushing, probably because she had difficulty getting on the horse. She nods back at her and moves her reins so the horse can move.

Phoenix watches the people pass by. She fixes her gaze to the ground, hoping not to be recognized by anyone. She glances back at Ireth and the stag, wondering what exactly the stag... crow.... is. She's never seen anything like it before.

Ireth laces his fingers into the thick fur on the back of the stag's neck and lightly presses his legs into it's side. The stag follows after Alexandra and Phoenix, only a few steps behind.

By the time their at the base of the mountain the sun has started to go down. She stops and turns her horse to face Ireth. "We should camp here for the night"

Phoenix quickly surveys the area. She's never been to a mountain, or even a wooded area for that matter. She is not in her element. She timidly approaches Alexandra. "I-Is there anything I can do to h-help?"

Ireth nods. "We'll need kindling, so you could collect as many sticks and small branches from the forest floor as you can. Just stay close so you don't get lost."

"Once you have that make a fire, if you can. But as Ireth said, stay close." She unpacks two blankets and ties her horse to the nearest tree.

Phoenix nods as she makes her way toward the surrounding trees. As she nears them, she can't help but think that they look almost menacing in the retreating sunlight. She gathers a rather small bunch of the twigs and lays them on a makeshift fire pit.

Ireth goes about unrolling the sleeping bags and building the fire pit while Phoenix is away and crouches beside his the fire pit when she returns. He builds them into a rough cone shape before standing and returning to his bag to find a fire starter.

Alexandra brings her sleeping back and blankets over to the fore and sets them down. She unrolls her sleeping bag and lays down for a moment.
