An Unconventional Adventure [Inactive]

"I-I'm fine. Just... please--" she looks down at her hand, smoking now. She turns away to block the view of her hand. "I-I'm fine! I'm fine, really..."

She stays where she's at and nods, "Okay, of your sure I'll leave you alone." She takes a step back

Ireth stays where he stands. Drawing his mouth into a flat line and raising an eyebrow at the smoke curling off Phoenix's hand he otherwise does nothing.

Phoenix takes several deep breaths, suppressing the smoke. She straightens herself and pushes her hair out of her face. She lets out a sigh of relief before turning back around. "Thanks again..."she says before walking in the opposite direction.

Alexandra nods and let's Phoenix walk away. Since it looks like she doesn't want to be bothered. She walks back to the barn to get her horse, she just wants to go home.

Phoenix wonders where she's going to go tonight. It has been a whole month since she had been exiled and still had made no progress as far as proving herself. She decides to find a place to sleep before worrying long-term.

Alexandra rides her horse home. Once she gets home she kicks off her boats and lays down to sleep.

Ireth settles in for the night and sleeps fitfully. The people downstairs are too loud and his elf-ears catch every last foot-fall. It is only when the drunks have been kicked out and the owners gone to bed as well the he finally is able to sleep.

Phoenix finds the closest inn she can find. It's exceptionally late and she is worn out from the days events. She orders a room, and collapses on her bed. Before falling asleep, she can't help but think of home.

The next morning Alexandra is woken up by banging at her door. She groans and answers, its one of the guards at the castle. Turns out there's a dragon that need slaying, and they want her to do it. She tells him she'll think about it.

Ireth rolls out of bed in the morning and dresses quickly before heading out into the streets. He simply wanders with his spirit in its crow form on his shoulder, no real destination in mind.

Phoenix drags herself out of bed, still not used to waking up on her own. She rubs her eyes and smooths her hair. She walks out the inn's front doors and looks around. Ireth catches her eye as he walks by. She recognizes him from the other day and quickly ducks around the corner.

Alexandra thinks about going on this quest. She wants to relax but its her duty to follow the kinda orders. So she packs up her stuff, mounts her horse and starts off to the mountains.

Ireth sees Phoenix from the corner of his eyes. He turned to say something, a hello or something simple, but she's gone by then. Ireth approaches where he saw here and looks around to see if he can spot Phoenix.

Phoenix takes a couple deep breaths and slides down the wall to sit. She pushes her hair out of her face. She thinks about how she's going to prove herself when she overhears two people speak of a dragon.

Alexandra rides past the inn where Phoenix and Ireth are staying at. Someone stops her and asks her where she's heading, she tells them she's off to slay the dragon.

Ireth picks up on the people speaking of the dragon.

"Yah I 'ere it took a princess,"

"I heard it was a prince, and the heir to the throne at that."

"Naw, dragons only steal princesses."

The conversation was cut short though when Alexandra rode up and answered that she was off to slay the dragon.

"Oi! You wouldn't have need of an archer would ya?" Ireth asked, approaching.

Phoenix's ears perk at the sound "heir to the throne". This is it, she thinks to herself. She knows though that she won't be able to do it on her own. She thinks about saying something to them but notices that the knight is the same one from the night before. What luck.

Alexandra looks at Ireth, "Depends on how good you are." She has pretty big standers that's why she doesn't like to spare with most of the other knights.

Ireth draws his bow off his back and an arrow from his quiver, never taking his eyes of Alexandra face.

"Pick a target, something, anything."
