Hello! My pen name is Rose or Rosebud, and I am looking for a one on one role-play - preferably through private threads. You might be able to convince me to role-play through threads or discord, though I prefer to use the latter for chatting and plotting purposes. I re-created this thread because my tastes have changed a bit. I'm looking to play female roles while my role-play partner takes the male one and I am currently craving non-anime or Asian based original characters.
I do double with the right person and plot. Just hesitant to.
I am an American and live in the Pacific time zone, if it matters. I can post 1-3 times a week, multiple times a day. My schedule is sporadic though, so I will let you know if something comes up. I only have one RP going and I would love to have more. It helps distract my PTSD too.

- I try to be lax when it comes to rules, but please read them before contacting me. I don't know why people are asking questions that have already been answered here.
-Please ask questions. I want to world-build/flesh out the plot together, and I don't enjoy being the only one who makes an effort in order to get the conversation or RP started. In fact, I like to keep RP updates in a separate chat. Keeps it more organized.
- I looking for a role-play partner who will help me create an underlying romance where the main source of conflict (should not be the only goal though) resides between a MxF pairing, whether it be slow or immediate. I'd like it to be explosive emotionally. I'm looking to play female and share NPCs. Plot > characters/romance. Playing multiple characters are a must, so please let me know how many you can role-play as.
- I have a few triggers. One being I am not a fan of drugs or gore, but I can handle mild violence and swearing once in a while. With that said, please do not use crude words in order to describe body parts. I want us to create a romantic atmosphere, and chemistry between our characters, not treat mine like it's a piece of meat. I am vanilla if anything happens, but we will fade to black, per site rules. I can also avoid it altogether, if that's what my role-play partner prefers. There's plenty of ways to make a RP interesting. Fantasy, drama, angst, mystery, suspense, etc. In fact, you end up missing out on some awesome stuff if it's all about smut.
- I work best with modern romances.
- Please be courteous and patient with replies. Mine knows no bounds when it comes to waiting for a post, but please let me know if you think you can't post for a week or two, or if you don't like the direction the role-play is going. Communication is key. In fact, please let me know how often you think you can post.
- I enjoy role-playing in either the First-Person (this does NOT mean we will be writing about self-inserted characters. In fact, I have seen more of those in Third-Person than I have first.) or Third-Person, past-tense.
-The best way to avoid self-inserted characters is by creating a basic character profile. It will also help us remember/organize what we're planning. It'd help to discuss their names, ages, settings as well as their strengths, weaknesses, fears, hopes and dreams. This also helps make the conversation, let alone the role-play, more exciting.
- Please note: I don't normally provide a picture of my character. In fact, I'd prefer it if we discussed what kind of appearances we like to use, or what we'd like to see appearance-wise from each other's characters. Then we can talk about using pictures; realistic descriptions, celebrities or anime. I am very picky when it comes to drawn pictures.
- Honestly, it's a fact it doesn't take more than a paragraph or two in order to exchange some kind of dialogue and action (which is needed per post in order for the role-play to go anywhere) between a character or two. If my character is not present with yours, then posts might be longer, but at the same time, I don't want to constantly write essays. This is supposed to be fun. I'm not a fan of info dumps or flowery language, either.
-So please let me know how much you can write a post. I'd also appreciate it if my role-play partner didn't abandon the setting or other characters just to focus on two characters. I prefer extroverted characters, given the fact I live an introverted life.
- This doesn't mean your spelling or grammar needs to be perfect. I just need to understand what you are saying.
-No god-modding, power-playing, meta-gaming purple prose, or perfect characters. Standard rules.
