Before I create my character what's the technology like? I presume it's fairly old but there's a big difference between early muskets and having not yet invented the crossbow.

well, the technology is around the more medieval period of technology. That means the more prominent kinds of weapons are bows, crossbows, broadswords, shields and other kinds of equipment like that. There are, however, some firearms in the world. They are rare however, as these guns are invented and specially crafted by inventors and are not mass produced. This also means they are still developing and have some flaws to them. Guns aren't used by the Royal military either, as magic is seen to be a much more powerful and reliable alternative. Hopefully that cleared thing up a bit? ^^

Sorry to bother you again but are the classes from a specific game or just generic fantasy classes like wizard or rogue?

No it's fine! ^^ I guess I would say it can be from any tabletop rpg, really (like DnD or Pathfinder, etc.) as long as it's from an established game. If there's a special one that you were thinking about playing, you can always just lay down the idea with me. I'd be very lax about it as long as the class isn't super crazy and/or convoluted.

Also, are pets allowed? I won't go too crazy with it. I'm thinking a bird.

I'd say 18 and up (there's not really a cap I had in mind, since having old people in a party can sometimes be pretty fun xD ). And yes, a pet bird sounds fine with me!
