Realistic or Modern An Icy Love Story

It is the first morning of the ice cave exploration, and Amara is anxious to see what is within the cave. She is thankful she is going to do so with her friend. Amara sits up in her bed, and looks around the cozy inn. It has dark wood flooring, antique furniture, and diverse paintings on the walls. The aroma of fresh coffee tickles her nose, and she proceeds to stand up. From her window, she can see the large mountain that her and her friend will be exploring. At the base of the mountain, there is an entrance to a new cave.

Amara dresses for the occasion, and can't help but laugh at herself in the full-length mirror. It is unlike her to dress in layers, but she was instructed to dress safely and prepare for the cold environment. She is wearing three sweatshirts, an oversized jacket with matching gloves, boots, and a winter hat. After looking herself over one last time, she does a little dance.

Now in the main lobby of the inn, Amara heads straight for the coffee pot. She picks up a mug with the newscasting logo, and fills it with the hot liquid. Her boss approaches her as she struggles to find creamer.

"Ah, Amara..." he begins, adjusting his tie, "are you ready to explore the new cave today?"

She nods, and settles on two packs of sugar. "I am a little nervous, but yes."

Pleased, the man smiles. "You'll do fine. We are just waiting for your partner."

It wasn't like Jake to accidentally sleep in when they had a cave to explore. Ahh, who was he kidding, yes it was. He couldn't help it, he hadn't been getting much sleep lately.

He awoke with a jolt, groggily getting up and walking out of his room before realizing where he was supposed to be.

Cursing multiple times, he threw on some warm clothes as fast as he could and hightailed it to where her and their boss.

Panting uncontrollably, he manages to reach the main lobby, bursting through the door, before putting his hands on his knees and trying to catch his breath.
