Adrimari is the largest continent on the planet Xendei. and while all continents have magic and use it in their everyday life, Adrimari is the origin; the birthplace of all magic. Adrimari is filled with the most powerful and most magical of beings; ruled by the King Dragon (Rex Primum) and Queen Dragon (Lumen Praeses), Adrimari has been living in an era of peace for a few thousand years, with Rex and Lumen proving to be fair and loyal leaders. Each nation within Adrimari have their own leaders, but everyone answers to Rex and Lumen. There are countless magical beings that have their origins in Adrimari; Dragons and Dragonborn, Elves, Fairies, Mermaids, the list goes on and on. and while these beings are found in other places throughout Xendei, they are their most powerful when in the place of origin, Adrimari. But they're also their most powerful and their most true self in Adrimari, because everything born in Adrimari is connected to one of six elements, and in Adrimari, the elements are most respected, and the spiritual connection between individual and their element is strongest.
Life in Adrimari has been beautiful. Of course, every nation has their battles and wars and difficulties, which happened to Adrimari a few years ago. About five thousand years ago, a Celestial Dragonborn turned to dark magic. Having a connection with the most powerful of the elements, the King and Queen Dragons quickly banded the armies of the Adrimari nations to put an end to such evil. An evil no one had ever seen before. The Dragonborn put together her own form of magic, even creating her own curse that allowed her to possess anyone with a weak moral spirit. Anyone that wasn't firm in who they were, this Dragonborn named Rowena was able to possess them. And when she possessed her vessels of flesh, she was just as lethal as her own body; killing armies by the hundreds. Eventually, Rex and Lumen were able to defeat her, but her soul was bound to the original scroll where her curse was written on. She hid it well, and when she was killed, the scroll was never discovered.
So what happens to the era of peace in Adrimari when a simple elf comes across the scroll?

Dragonborn
The Dragonborn are direct descendants of Dragons, the most powerful beings in Adrimari next to the actual Dragons.
Dragonborn have the ability to shift between their Dragon form and their Humanoid form. They can choose which Dragon attributes show when in their Humanoid form, some wanting to keep their eyes or wings while in Humanoid form, or even some keep their talons on their hands. All Dragonborn, in Humanoid form, will have a patch of scaly skin somewhere on their body.
Just like the Dragons they descend from, Dragonborn can have any of the six connections to an element. Unlike some species that only have a connection to one element, there have been reports of Fire Dragonborn, with connection to the Sun, Aquatic Dragonborn, with connection to the Ocean, and even Celestial Dragonborn, with connection to the stars. Dragonborns rule Adrimari aside Dragons, some being direct sons and daughters of Rex and Lumen, others being descendants of other Dragons, but they are equivalent to royalty.
Elf
Elves are one of the most common species in Adrimari, purely because there are so many different races of Elves. There are six different races of Elves, all for a different element. Most of them live in different areas based off of their elemental connection, but there are a few that aren't dependent on location to feel connected to their element.
Elves are mostly common folk; they have their own nations with their own leaders and they tend to have special ranks within themselves, but in Adrimari as a whole? The highest rank an Elf has ever earned is royal advisor to a ruling Dragonborn. So yes, they can rise through the ranks, but no Elf will ever be the sole ruler of Adrimari.
Mermaid
Mermaids are the hidden threat in Adrimari. Everyone initially views them as sweet, innocent, habitants of the water. But Mermaids can be some of the most vicious creatures if wronged or betrayed. When unprovoked, Mermaids have proven to be one of the nicest species next to the fairies. Very welcoming to anyone wanting to visit with them, and willing to trade their Ocean goods with the land-goers.
Mermaids are also the experts in water transportation. While there are Tidebound Elves that they share the Ocean with, Mermaids have the ability to go into the very depths of the Ocean, knowing secrets of the watery forest that no one else could possibly know.
Werewolf
Werewolves are just what you'd expect. Humanoid creatures that turn into Wolves in the light of the moon. They're viewed as hateful and vicious troublemakers, and while a lot of them are not raised to be such cruel creatures, others cannot seem to care enough to change public opinion, so they mess with people, scaring them for the shock factor; there are even gangs of Werewolves, since the world won't change how they view them.
Vampire
Contrary to societal beliefs, Vampires are not as sinister as legend would have it. They tend to live in areas where the sun doesn't shine as bright, but other than that they're actually pretty sociable. They've learned ways to cast magic to help them survive in sunlight if needed, but Vampires are actually surprisingly hospitable. They tend to be the charmers, since they're professional smooth talkers in order to drink blood. As long as you're willing to give up some blood, Vampires are quite pleasant.
Fairies
The seemingly sweet and innocent species in Adrimari, the Fairies are very diverse just like the Elves, but cuter. Fairies are known to bring joy and laughter wherever they roam, but those who know the legends in Fairy myths, they'll know there's a dark and twisted past behind every flutter of sparkly wings
