A task force is being assembled. A task force with some of the most dangerous and powerful people on Earth. The people to call when nobody else can deal with a threat. These are people with special abilities. These abilities make them stronger than a normal human. More powerful, and more capable. Although they may not be skilled at the moment, they will become the Earth's saviors. This... is Task Force S. </p>

Prologue
​



The facility looms over the city of Omaha, Nebraska. It's a large complex with various very gray buildings. Each of them serve a different purpose, but only one is currently busy. The large training building. It's the size of a hangar, with around 50 buses parked on the outside of it. The buses are all stopped in a line. Then, they open. Out of them pours around 500 or some different heroes. They are all quickly sorted into a line. Being sorted into the Main Training facility, they all eventually get sorted off into different categories.


In in an area marked Super Class, there currently sits 10 different heroes. They all sit in a nice wood waiting room. After around an hour of tests, they've finally been placed in this room. It's been 10 minutes since anyone has said a word. A man in one corner of the room has been tapping his foot nervously against the ground. Suddenly he jumps up screaming, "Okay! I can't take this silence anymore. My name is Lloyd Weathers! It's nice to meet you all!"

Eden relaxing as she waited, her small knife doing circles around each of her fingers. Looking around the room at each of the people that sat around her. Keeping in her human form. Not knowing how others would take her true form here. Would they even really like her? Lost to her own thoughts, when suddenly a man just ordered up. She smiled at him. Someone broke the ice. Thank god, standing up. Letting her true form come forth. Her body now purple and not human. Speaking in her true voice. "It's nice to meet you too. I'm Eden."


Walking over to him, she stuck out from the group. Holding out her hand to him, "Thanks for breaking this damn silence. It would have drove me bat shit crazy if it went on any longer." Laughing softly. "You have balls I will give you that." Eden shouldn't have her potty mouth running. But it only got worse, so if they spent anytime together. Everyone would have to get used to it. It was just the way that she was. love her or hate Eden was herself to her core. And she wasn't ashamed of it by any means.

Lloyd laughed, not caring at all about the way the woman in front of her looked. He took her hand and shook it, "Most people would probably be scared of you. All I can think right now is how much you would match my nickname better than I do." Lloyd looked at how everyone had been sitting on benches on the sides of the room. There was a huge table in the center of the room though. He took a seat in it, "You're also the first woman to say I have any balls at all. So, that's nice." He smiles, "It makes sense for us all to get to know each other. Any of us might be working on a team together."

Caitlyn sat in the room with all of the other people and she watched the two people,apparently named Lloyd and Eden, and she watched each person carefully. She stood up and looked at all of the others in the room. "Well, I guess I will introduce myself since no one else is right now, my name is Caitlyn." She went over and sat down at the table tilting her head to one side before narrowing her eyes a little at everyone. "I assume that all of us will be around each other so much to the point where me might hate each other or be decently friendly with each other." She pushed some of her hair behind her ear and pulled a knife out of her boot and set it on the table in front of her. "So we might as well be nice right now."

She laughed, "Oh you think so huh?" Looking him over as they shook hands with one another. "My nickname doesn't fit me either to be honest. And...you you are right some are scared of me. But I love being in my true form." Plopping in a seat next to him. Smiling over at him, "Well I call it like I see it." Twirling her knife more. "Most would be happy to sit and not say a word." Shrugging some. "It's nice that you aren't scared of me. Most run when they see me like this." Smiling a little more, "Let's hope we do work together. I know I would like that." Looking around at everyone. "Anyone else want to come join us?" Looking to her, raising her eyebrow "Well aren't you just a charmer." Laughing some and holding out her hand. "Pleased to meet you."

Lloyd smiled, "It's nice to meet you Caitlyn. Although I find it ironic that you talk of playing nice and set a knife on the table... but I digress," He put his hands forth on the table, and laid his head down on them. He sighs, "So... I can guess Eden's power... but Caitlyn, what about you?" Lloyd still had a slightly cocky smile on his face as he spoke.

"Well Llyod, would you rather I keep the knife and have another way to kill you or would you rather it stay on the table where you can clearly see it and let me have one less way to kill you." She sighed and she raised her eyebrows at Lloyd and gestured to the knife before pushing it across the table over there towards where he was. "Hold it over there will ya?" She hoped that he would get it before it hit his hand but he had superpowers,he should be okay.

Lloyd didn't get it. He watched the knife slide towards his hand, and he sat up a little but didn't make a notion to stop it. The knife cut his hand slightly, and slid right off the table, "Ah, fuuuuuuuuuuuu..." Lloyd trailed off, holding his hand, "Well... thanks Caitlyn. I'm so glad you cut my hand!" He held up his hand which had begun to bleed slightly. He looked at it sadly, before sighing and glaring at Caitlyn, "Well I guess I know how much I can trust you." He shook his head, sighing again, "So, you didn't answer the question. What's your power?"

Caitlyn audibly groaned and facepalmed before glaring at Lloyd and her knife which was still on the floor. She stood up and walked towards where Lloyd was and stopped a few feet from where the knife laid. She concentrated before she felt her knife coming towards her at full speed with her power. She kept her eyes open and she stared at the idiot who didn't get her knife and probably hated her now before gripping the handle and waving it around. "My power is telekinesis, that's why I wanted my knife over there but apparently my faith was misplaced since you couldn't catch my weapon." She went back over to her chair at sat in it before sticking her knife back into her boot and sighing.

Watching Lloyd's hand get cut. "Wow that is one way to get someone to trust you."Shaking her head. Looking over at his hand, taking it in hers, reaching over to grab a tissue, dabbing his hand. Keeping her eye on her. She didn't feel all to good about this one. Even if he could heal, you don't show your power this way. Not in her mind anyways. Holding the tissue to his hand.

Lloyd frowned at her, before he smiled, then clapped, "Nice job... nice job. Very impressive. I'm sure that would be quite useful on the team." He looked back over to Eden, "Thank you, by the way. I should also ask... what is your power exactly?" He smiled and put his hand back on the table, leaning his head on it. Then immediately stopping as he felt blood on his head.

Smiling at him, "Mine, it's easier to show then explain." Standing up and walking alittle ways from him. Her eyes studying Leo for a moment, her body starts to change into a perfect copy of him. Walking over and sitting by him again, her voice his. "This is my power, also I heal my self and immune to drugs and poisons." Winking at him, "And by the way you are welcome."

(Mixed up names. It's actually Lloyd.) Lloyd looked over at Eden and clapped slightly, "Impressive. Very impressive." He looked over at the copy of him. He leaned back and looked at the backside of him, "Impressive of myself as well." He shook his head and faced forward again, "Alright... glad to have you two as teammates." He put his feet up on the table, leaning back slightly. He gave a cocky smile as he was the only one who hadn't shared his power yet.

Caitlyn stared at the table and she looked back up at Lloyd before blushing a light red in embarrassment. "I'm sorry about that, I'm really nervous and I don't want ya'll to think that I'm a pansy even though I am in here." She looked down at the table and she clasped her hands together in her lap. She sounded sincere and she blushed a darker red as she briefly stripped herself of her prideful nature before gaining it back again. "But I do hope that my behavior before did not reflect badly on your impression of me as a person."

(sorry about that) Laughing some, changing back into her form. "I'm sure it is. Though I'm not helpless that is for sure." She wouldn't show them her MMA fighting that was for the worst of the worst. Laughing as he almost fell. "Good thing I didn't have to catch you. I'm fast but don't make me work to hard at first." Smiling, not to rude, but she kind of ignored the girl. They may not get along very well. But not everyone could be nice.

The morning had been long, and boring. And Anastasia wanted to nap. So she did. After the large ruckus, the morning filled with tests and questions and way too many eyes for her to be comfortable, Anastasia was all tuckered out. For the most part. The 10 sitting in the room were all pretty diverse from what she could tell as she laid back on her large chair. Lucky for her they knew how to prioritise, so Annie was sitting in a slightly larger reclining chair than the others, to make room for her wings. Basicly. She was made up in her ankle length tan coat, jeans, usual halter crop top and the same black heels she'd been wearing since she left home. A gift from her mother. Funnily enough. Her apricot hair was up in it's usual half tucked style.


Anastasia's eyes drifted up to the ceiling, a small headache forming in the back of her eyes. Warm bodies meant signatures and signatures meant being botched, and being botched meant headaches. The silence was nice, golden eyes closed, chair reclined back to escape the others she'd soon have to warm up to. That was until someone spoke up, hitting Annie out of her rest. She hissed lightly at nothing, and lifted herself up in the chair to look across the room at the male. She blinked a couple times in order to gather an image before her, only slightly annoyed. At least someone had broken the silence. Her silence....


Anastasia rolled her shoulders to try and ease her wings discomfort underneath her coat before pulling her seat back up slowly and looking for a good position to sit in. She grimaced lightly as the woman who had sat not far from her her stood up with a smile, obviously also thankful for the guys impatient manner. She was intrigued by the way she changed form. A pretty cool power if you asked her. She leaned far forward in her chair and was quite amused while she watched the situation before her.


Anastasia kept quiet, knowing it was probably best for her. She simply scanned everyone that spoke, making sure to analyse best she could with her botched vision. She gave up trying to gather everyones looks completely and took her gaze to the ground. She cringed once or twice before looking up at the mostly now silent group. "That was nice," she spoke, looking about at the masses of heat around her. The blue woman was most prominant with her striking colours, her eyes though were hard to distinguish. The female with the knife seemed in the slightest untrustworthy, but trying, and she respected that. The male who spoke first was the hardest to see, he had been cut and was also moving everywhich way. He'd generated too much heat. Most she could gather was he had blue eyes, young and cocky too.


Anastasia rolled her shoulders again and sighed, deciding that her wings would crumple if she sat any longer if she didn't stand up. Her heels thudded lightly on the wooden floors and the tan coat gathered lightly at the ankles from her movement. "I'm Anastasia," she introduced herself, looking vaguely at the others with her kind eyes. "Anastasia Barnes~." Her English accent came off with it's Russian like tinge as always. She would not display her power until she was asked.

Lloyd looked over to the newcomer. The most noticeable thing was definitely her wings. The next was the way she moved, very proper. Lloyd kicked out a chair, "It's nice to see you Anastasia. WHy don't you show us your power and then sit down. Or sit down and then show us your power. Either or, it doesn't make a difference." He smiled up at her.

Just as he had expected, Ryan's morning was just a hassle, filled with questionnaires, tests, and just way to many people around for his taste. At this point all Ryan wanted was to just go to sleep, but no,they had to shove him in a room with nine other strangers that he honestly didn't care about at this point. As instructed, he took a seat in one of the assorted chairs and waited for whatever was supposed to come next. As soon as he sat down, he laid back as much as he could leaving his head dangling off the back of the chair a bit. Thenn he placed his headphones over his ears and turned on some music to hopefully drown out what ever noise the rest of the group would end up making so he could fall asleep. It worked for a good ten minutes, all the way up until the ruckus started. No matter how loud he turned up his music he could still hear them. Finally, stifling a yawn, he sat up and slowly took his headphones of and placed them around his neck. He wasn't really sure what was going on right now, so he leaned forward and placed his elbows on his knees and his head in his hands and observed the group.

The Crow of Birmingham



Benjamin sat watching this show that was being displayed before him, this rambunctious and rowdy group was who he got placed with? After a few introductions, he decided to go ahead and introduce himself. Ben sighed and stood up leaning on his cane, and walked over to the group. "It seems you are all getting along...nicely and most of you have made your formal introductions, so I must make mine now. I am Benjamin Mordecai, but most famously known as The Crow of Birmingham, that is what the local children call me anyways." He looked around at the others in the room, they all looked rather peculiar, but everyone in the room had powers so it was expected, hell even he looked odd. Ben then held his hand out to Lloyd awaiting the expected shake.

Ben thought on Lloyd's request for a moment then sighed "I usually do not like to use my powers around people, especially in broad daylight, but alas it seems I have no other choice, it is the reason I am here anyways." He then stepped back, and closed his eyes. After a few seconds, a small shroud started surrounding him and then he starting floating into the air. "This is my power, well one of them." Ben said as the shroud cleared and he descended to the ground. The shroud them covered him again and after a few seconds he disappeared. Suddenly, he reappeared begin Lloyd and tapped him on the shoulder. "And that is another one, I do have one more, however it is rather boring. I prefer to call it Corvus Vision, I can see heat signatures through walls." After a few moments of recuperating after that oh so tiresome feat, Ben cleared his throat and said "Ahem. Benjamin may be my name but I am only called thus by my closest of friends, you shall all refer to me as Mordecai, and on the field, as Crow!" Crow smiled with his hands now behind his back.

Caitlyn watched other people introduce themselves but kept quiet, they already hated her already just because she slid a knife toward Lloyd and he couldn't catch it in time. Her mind scrambled as her tactical power took over her, thinking about everything a step ahead of everybody, a reason that no one in her family would play chess or any game with her anymore. She shook her head slightly and, with as little movement possible, pulled out a photo of her and her parents when Caitlyn was about a year old. She looked back down at the table and put the picture back away before anyone could she wasn't she looked at but then remembered something that was kinda funny in her own mind about her previous career choice as a lawyer. She sighed quietly and tapped her fingers softly against the table in a rhythm that even she didn't recognize while still listening to the others. It would be useful to know everyone's power since she was almost certain that the testers knew of her tactical analysis and that would make her an ideal tactician but the rest of the group didn't need to know this information until it was necessary but that would not be anytime soon with almost everyone's distrust towards her at the moment in time.
