Multiple Settings Altered Art (Partner search)

Enolx

Time to murder the English language.
Hey everybody, I'm Enolx, and I am here to search for a partner for a new story idea of mine. The story is a modern fantasy, which makes me really happy, so if that is something you like please continue. It also may be more your style if you like trading card games, but don't let that deter you even if you don't. Before the story though, here is some introduction stuff so you can learn about me and what like look for partner wise.

About me

I am fairly old, but not really in the grand scheme of things if you think about it.
I write an absurd amount for most of my posts. (like 4-15 paragraphs if stuff is getting good and my character is alone)
I tend to design a lot of my stories in advance, so I take a day to post, it is because I am figuring out where to go next.
I post fairly frequently, so if I don't message me, I may be in danger or something.
Most of the stuff I write is epic in scale, epic fantasy is what got me into reading and stuff. (if your wondering, Eragon and Dragon Riders of Pern, were the books)
My grammar here is a good representation of how I will post later.
I play male characters, as I am one, but am prone to making a lot of side characters, which can be either, for story reasons.
I am a person and complete ok with talking to others, so feel free to chat with me if you would like.
I Rp however, so let me know if you have a preference.

Now for What I would like from my partner.

Independence (My character may not always be with yours. Use that time to develop yourself and the world around you. You can do it. I believe in you)
Grammar close to mine (Most small mistakes I will fix in my head anyway, so don't even worry about those.)
Posts that advance the story or tell me about your character. (If all you do is respond to what my character does, I will cry.)
Fairly frequent posts (Stories die when there is too much time between post. Once every day or two is cool with me. I will do the same. If I take more time than that send a message because something have happened to me.)
For them to be around my age (Anything older than 18 is cool with me. Anything less makes me feel like a creeper, since most stories have romance, and I don't like feeling that way.)
For them to use third person (I use third person, and I find it weird when people refer to their characters as I, and talk in a present voice, when there are multiple main characters.)
For them to say something if the have a problem. (I mess up and am not a mind reader. While I can read most people in person, that is not doable in test form. Help me, help you.)
For them to talk to me (while I have a lot of my own ideas and stuff, I like to know what my partner thinks is going on, or what they might be planning so I don't mess anything up. This is really important on this story because, for once in like forever, I don't have the magic system fully fleshed out. Since we will both be making up magic and rules for said magic, I really need you to communicate, like please.)

About the story

Altered Art is a story about a liaises faire art school that gets turned on its head when students start making art on playing cards, and accidentally create cards that cast magic. While their are rules to the magic they discovered, no one seems to know what they are. So this leads to what was once just an art school, becoming a school for the creation, research, and development of card based magic.

Ending Thoughts and Closing

I was going to put some how I feel stuff here, but I don't think that will help in the long run. Instead, I will put one of my old post for this story below, so you can read it and get a feel for what you would be jumping into. Kinda long, but I warned you about that earlier.

In the city of Haven there exist a school for the most gifted artists of the country. Whitespire Academy is located in the center of Haven and is its own separate entity. While being located at the center of the city the school is not surrounded by the metropolis, but by a large dense forest. Inside that forest only the large spire like buildings can be viewed from the outside. The school itself consist of two types of buildings, the spires and the gallery. The gallery sits at the center of the school surrounded by the spires and a smaller forest. While the spires are where classes take place and where the students live, the gallery is where their works reside. The greatest art of the ages is said to reside there. Whitespire is special, not only because of its location, but also because of its strange curriculum. Whitespire has no grades and classes are optional, but if you can't make a piece good enough to be entered into the gallery every three months, you are expelled.

It is at this institution that the world was changed forever, and the Altered Art club was formed.

Leon woke up mid day to the sun beaming through his windows. The light hit various prisms he had hanging and created different paintings on the walls. The room itself was huge and filled with various painting supplies and tools. On his walls hung a multitude of paintbrushes and different paintings. The floors were hard wood and his suite had everything he could need to live. He had some stone sculptures and a large marble desk off near the windows.

Leon got out of bed and walked out to his window. His room was located at the top of the painting spire. As the top painting student at Whitespire this room belonged to him, and he was free to do with it as he wished. This room had been his for the past year, and it was unlikely that it would be taken from him anytime soon. With windows surrounding the entire room, he had a full three-sixty view of the other spires, the school, and even Haven.

Leon started his day by looking out and seeing if anything caught his eye. When he looked out to the near by sculpting tower he saw his friend Alex waving at him. He watched as Alex walked to his wall phone, and shortly after a call came to his home phone. "About time you got up Leon," Alex said "I was going to invite you out of breakfast, but that is not a thing now. Anyway, can you come by? There is something a friend of mine wanted me to ask you about. Actually why am I waiting, my friend wanted to know if you could do some painting of him. He said he would pay well, as long as the job is good and you don't damage the medium. Come by so I can show you what he is wanting."

Leon chuckled before responding "Hey I might have other stuff going on."

"Leon I can literally see into your house. You don't have crap going on. We also turned in our projects last week. Get over here, we also need to figure out what we are going to do for our next projects, or vacation since we have free time."

"Yea, yea, let me get dressed, and I'll head over. We can also go to the town and grab some food. I just got paid from that last piece I did, your driving though."

"Sounds good, lets go to that Mexican place. I have really been wanting some quesadillas. Also, you should really wear some clothes if your going to leave your windows open. There are other spires."

"If they want to go through the trouble of using binoculars to see me in my underwear, it's whatever. I will not change my life for them. Anyway bye, I'll be over in a bit.

After Alex's bye Leon hung up the phone and went to his closet to grab some clothes. With clothes in hand he went to the shower and got himself ready for the day. Today he chose to wear some strait fit black jeans, black and gold combat boots, a low cut v neck shirt, his golden tear drop necklace, and his normal gold framed sunglasses. Before he left his house, he patted himself down and made sure he had his keys, wallet, phone, and sketch pad. When he was sure he had everything he left his room and took the elevator down.

He met up with Alex outside of the sculpting tower and the two exchanged their personal handshake. Typically people of Whitespire stick to their own tower and the people inside, but Leon and Alex had been friends from even before they entered the academy. The two of them also seemed to visit the city more often than most other students. While other students were constantly honing their craft to either take to top spot in their tower, or to remain at the school, the two of them were enjoying themselves. He wondered if the other spire tops were like him and Alex, or if they just stuck to themselves. He would have to find out at some point. The two of them then walked to Alex's car and took off towards the city.

"So what is this project that your friend was wanting me to do?" Leon asked. Alex handed a sleeved card to Leon. "A beat up playing card? Is this the job?"

"Yea, apparently it is worth a lot of money and the guy wants it restored and altered a bit. Since it is worth a lot he wanted me to ask you, that way the likely hood of it being ruined is low. I also remembered that you wanted to try working with a different medium. Your name also adds a lot of value to anything it is on. So you up for painting a playing card?"

"Actually, yea it seems like fun. I haven't done anything like this. I will need some other cards like this so I can practice and see how the medium reacts to the paints."

"Yea that makes sense. We can grab some more cards while we are in the city. Eating comes first though."

"Sounds good." The two of them then joked around and enjoyed themselves while they were in the city.

It was late before the two of them made it home. Since they didn't have anything they needed to do tomorrow, Alex decided to stay over at Leon's place and look over his work.

"Bring out the sun," Leon declared causing his room lights to turn on and become very bright "Alright Alex, you are on research detail. I will start trial and error, until you find something." Alex grinned as he grabbed Leon's laptop off of his desk and plopped onto the couch. Leon then sat down at his desk and got to work.
