CHARACTER CREATION

So, you have decided to make a character. Just a few things to note.
I am always on the side of creativity. I have purposely left some things fairly vague to avoid stifling your minds, and creating something that becomes too...game like. Tell your story and if I need to make changes we can discuss that. I don't want you self rejecting ideas that may have been possible. That does not mean I will say yes to everything lol. Also, keep in mind that for certain positions I will allow them to have certain backstories, abilities etc others may not be privy to as I want you to grow. This is mainly applicable to major leadership positions and some races. Also work with everyone individually on their characters so things may change for that person for reasons you're not privy to. I do my best to provide a fun and fair experience. Have fun!

Also if you start off with two, let me know what your primary magical ability is. For refinements, if you read the lore you should be good to go. Be sure to include whatever burdens you may have. We will like go through the creative process together to come to an agreement but be sure to keep the lore in mind. I don't want to say too much lest I stifle creativity and make you self reject ideas that might have been passable

BACKSTORY
Aspect was discovered by well...no one at first. Like the story of many Automata, she was inexplicably alive. There was no coded purpose to her being, a function that she was bound to, she had nowhere to go, such was the conundrum of freedom. Aimlessly she would waltz through the dangerous lands of Altair before being found by a traveling group of performers known as the Midnight Mirage. Initially, they intended on selling her to the highest bidder. A fate not uncommon to many automata found by others. They were still on their performing circuit and decided to wait until they entered Accel to do so. During this time; however, they discovered she had an innate talent that many people on the road seemed to love. She wouldn't laugh. No matter how crazy, obvious, vulgar, or over the top the comedy, Aspect was able to keep a perfect non reaction in the face of whatever was happening. Essentially this made her the greatest "straight man" that comedy had ever seen and the Midnight Mirage would incorporate her into their comedic storylines more and more. Pretty soon, they had long since forgotten that they intended to sell her in the first place.

So the next few years, Aspect traveled and learned from what had become her new family. A home of misfits with uncanny talents that brought joy to downtrodden. She learned through her interactions, their stories; however, that became the problem. The more she learned, the harder it was to maintain that blank slate disposition she had become so famous for. She began to laugh when she was not supposed to. She would make poor attempts to interject her own comedy and even say the other persons lines. Although it was unintentional, Aspects emotional growth was quickly becoming a disaster for the Midnight Mirage. Aspect herself was confused as to why the crowds were starting to boo and assault her with various fruits and vegetables. She thought understanding the emotions of the naturally born would bring them even more happiness than how she was before, but she couldn't have been more wrong.

Things would come to a head eventually in which one night she woke up after being placed under a sleeping spell and the entire Midnight Mirage had left her behind. Perhaps they too grew fond enough to avoid selling her, or maybe that was just a trade off to balance the guilt they had felt. Aspect, who had dealt with the traveling circus' fair share of practical jokes, covered her face and began counting to 100. Yes, this was just another game of hide and seek between the world's best practical jokers and actors. She discovered she had the capability to cry.

Believing that somehow she did something wrong, Aspect has reverted back to her blank slate demeanor while carrying on the things that she learned from the group since that was the time she was most loved. It is not uncommon for her to say a variety of inappropriate, poorly timed jokes, or maintain a non reaction in even the most dire circumstances. She is on a search to craft the world's greatest jokes so she can tell them all without so much as a grin.

Song Book:
Aspect has combined magic with her performing background to aid herself and party members. By practicing and learning various songs she can adapt to many situations as well as upgrade songs she has previously learned. Enhancements would be her primary magic while Curses would be her secondary.

Enhancements
Tyr's Pond: A song that can help replenish stamina and recover minor injuries.
Iron Man Deckva Defense:A song that bolsters defense on targets

Curses
Lonely Lullaby: A curse that makes enemies drowsy, or sluggish. Most people on, or near her level are able to resist without much issue.

Natural Abilities
Blank Slate-Aspect probably has the greatest poker face known to man. Is she lying, telling the truth, or did she really think the joke was good.

Acrobatics-They tried to make her many things in the circus, one of them being an acrobat. She's pretty good at getting away

Weaknesses: Her songs must be heard to have effect. She cannot shift between songs and needs to cool down regardless of how long one of them have been played. She can currently only target 2 others to receive benefits of her songs. This would include herself.

She may not be able to feel pain, but the force and effects of attacks are still effective, moreover, this could work against her should there be any grievous injury.

Personality:
Jian Feng is a free spirit, first and foremost. A lover of adventure and good deeds, who roams the land seeking challenges and wonders. To meet him is to meet a bubbling orb filled with mirth, the young man always quick with a joke or a flirt, his attentions shifting with the wind wherever his instincts take him. In his endless good humor, he is capable of brushing off a great many offenses very easily, being a very forgiving friend. He's an honest, simple soul, and at the end of the day the easiest way to earn his favor is just to be vaguely nice to him. Simple as that.

His relative inexperience and being raised on adventure stories has left him with a strange mix of optimism and pessimism. He'll fully expect a mimic in every dungeon corner, and be elated to face them. He is prone to think the best of people, though he's not quite an idiot. However, there is steel under the that sunny disposition, even if he doesn't know it himself yet. For all his good-will and kind intentions, if you press him, if you show him the horrors of the world and push him into confronting evil in all its myriad forms... Jian Feng will not blink. He will cut it down, and leave rivers of blood in his wake. After that... Is anyone's guess as to what he'll become. A hero or monster?

Then again, aren't those just two sides of the same coin?

BACKSTORY

During the Age of Eden, many, many years ago, during the days of distant myth... were a clan of seers. The Clan of the Open Eyes. They projected their sight into the future, across the skeins of time. Watching over the thousand rivulets, forks, and eddies in the stream of time. They stood between Eonis, Em, and Wonnozoth, forseeing what could be and then using the gift of choice to determine their own future. One of the great clans, their power to predict what was to come made them of high station and powerful influence... Which is why they were allegedly one of the greatest contributors to the First Rebellion. For they came to the realization that as they looked forward, all they foresaw was a constant. A cycle, a repeating motif, a static picture. One world, one true future. For the Aetherians maintained a single status for humanity, and the world could only grow within those bounds.

They turned from Eonis and Em to Wonnozoth, and made their choice. They chose possibility over stagnation, an uncertain future over guaranteed stasis. To change, to have the potential for growth. And so faded the Age of Eden, and began the Age of Liberation. And for a time, it was good. Mankind finally began to grow beyond the Aetherian dictates, finding possibilities that could not have been dreamed of before. This they foresaw, and such it was. Generations passed. And then... came the Age of Oblivion, and the war it carried.

The first of the Open Eyes Clan knew what was to come. He knew his child would have to guide humanity through such pain and blood, a lifetime spent in the muck. It was foretold. It was what should have been. It was what was written.

But what would have been the point of the First Rebellion, if one could not defy fate a bit? If what was written could not be re-written?

He sealed his child away in an enchanted casket, the full might of his foresight bent to ensuring it would survive to a brighter age, and left to kind parents to raise one day. A time capsule, flung into the far future. And so the Open Eyes Clan would fall in the Age of Oblivion, and the ages turn from war to renaissance.... and now, to the Age of Romance. And so the Great Sage of the Open Eye Clan's final prophecy, began to bear fruit. A prominent Ark adventurer party would delve the mountains of Ark, in search of rumors of Oblivion-Era ruins hidden in a secret valley. It consisted of Jian Zhuo, the Bright-Minded Sage, and his wife, Jian Chan, the Thunderstrike, a human mage and a human master swordswoman. Accompanying them was the Great Kuo-Dachi, a Goloth warrior-healer, and Lydia Almzeri, an Auris ranger.

Together, they would stumble upon the find of a lifetime. For along with Jian Feng's little casket were many more treasures; relics of past ages. They came and found wonders aplenty, and as they searched through them, celebrating their find, they opened Jian Feng's casket.... and delight turned to confusion and worry. What would they do with a child? But this too was accounted for, and their hearts were too kind to abandon Jian Feng. So, the party would take him in as their own, a strange family of five. The party would return to the adventuring guild and become bedecked in gold and accolades for their discovery, and would turn their steps to semi-retirement. They would still take missions, but much of their time was spent raising the strange precocious child they were saddled with.

Jian Feng would grow up loved, following in his idolized mother in the sword-arts, and aspiring to become an adventurer himself. It wouldn't be long before he reached adulthood and struck out on his own, entering the world as a wanderer in the grand tradition of all adventurers. To go fuck around until he found something interesting to poke his nose into. But still... he knows there's a home that'll always welcome him.
ABILITIES:

Refinement of the Storm-Slaying Sword of the Four Winds:
- Description
  - His refinement style is inherited from his mother. It is a Refinement affiliated with and derived from the howling wind, the hurricane gale, the frosty mistral. A style of the swift slash, the death-cut, the flashing sword. It is a somewhat famous Refinement style for its particularly unique abilities associated with the higher masters of its art. Fundamentally, it is a pure sword-style that relies on immense agility, speed, and sharpness over durability or staying power. Its techniques are often inspired by or partially manipulate the wind itself with one's movements. In battle, fighting him is like fighting a living cyclone of cutting blades as he flits from place to place, performing innumerable slashes.
- Enhanced Attribute:
  - Even split of Strength and Speed.
- Restrictions:
  - Wanderer's Step:
    - As the wind, one has the urge to never remain still.
  - Wanderer's Slumber:
    - One cannot sleep in the same place twice in a row.
  - Blade Art:
    - One must either wield a one-handed sword with this style.
- Abilities:
  - Zephyr Body:
    - Jian Feng's body behaves as though it is far lighter than it actually is under his movements. This allows him to perform incredible feats of agility and speed, such as running across wires, running at a superhuman pace, and so on. With speed, of course, also comes strength, and Jian Feng is capable of attacking with greater force than others can without this refinement.
  - Boreas Slash:
    - Wrapping his blade in the wind, increases the speed of his attacks the more energy he puts into this ability. With great input of Breath, he can briefly appear as if he wasn't moving at all while making a cut.
  - Eurus Breath:
    - Part of why this Refinement is so useful is that with his attunement to the wind, he can make it so that he breathes clearly and without limit. Not Breath, but just, mundane breath. Indeed, in vacuum, water, or whence the air is filled with smoke, the air he breathes can be made clean and clear. This requires a constant input of Breath to be active.
  - Notos Authority:
    - Jian Feng can command the winds around him to a limited extent. He can't do much more with it than make it blow out candles with a flick of a finger, or make his clothes and hair billow dramatically. But it is pretty cool. This is also the foundation of future Refinement techniques of the Storm-Slaying Sword.
  - Guidance of the Anemoi:
    - Jian Feng's bloodline were once mighty seers who used magic to peer into could-have-beens, yet-to-bes, and never-could-bes. Jian Feng, however, is no mage. Still, his bloodline's talent manifests in his Refinement, leading to him possessing the ability to have a 'sixth sense' for the future. In combat, he can detect incoming blows within a small area around him. In some ways it's more like extremely enhanced 'intuition' and 'empathy' than anything else, giving him vague feelings for what might occur in the next moment, and perhaps up to a second or two into the future. This must be something he consciously pays attention to, like 'listening' for a certain sound, or looking for certain signs, and can only be focused on a single person at a time, with prolonged use causing migraines.

Weaknesses
- Low durability, on account of his relatively soft upbringing and glass cannon focus.
- poor 'adventurer skills', for lack of a better term, for much the same reason. Survival, navigation, or 'knowing a guy.'
- -the mana that saturated the world during this time requires careful training to handle, which he, sadly, couldn't receive. As such, at random intervals, his guidance goes off by itself, showing him meaningless glimmers and premonitions that make no sense, resulting in distraction.
- Unsubtle: Is not at all prone to being low-key or deceptive.
Racial Abilities

Equipment:
- An exceptionally well-made sword, a gift from his parents once he turned 18.
- Adventuring supplies.
- An enchanted ring that allows him to 'call' people he knows, forming a 'scrying mirror' in front of himself and his target for them to speak and see each other. He uses it to keep in touch with his family. It has a recharge time of 3 days per 15-minute usage, however.

Curious, passionate, courageous. A pioneer cannot lacks any, and Selene is all three. Failure and limitations do not deter him, but ignite his spirit and mind to find a solution. The qualities that are his strengths, at the same time, are his weaknesses. He lacks vision of the larger picture and rarely listens to the kind words of others.

Selene is a kind individual from a peaceful society. His achievement is a mark of kindness of the people around him and not of his ruthlessness and cunning.
The twin Sol and Selene had different fates. Sol, a rare magic progidy among Thyroses joined the army's elite mage squadron after graduation. Selene could only be an instructor's helper in the distant magic academy he attended. If he hadn't ran away from home, he would have a comfortable life helping his father running the family's fashion business.

Mana reserve. While Sol's was so astounding that hers could rival a Daemon's, Selene had a weak mana reserve typical of Thyroses. Still, magic had been his pursuit since childhood and the only thing he had left. When the growth of his mana reserve slowed to an unbearable pace, he turned his attention to his mana sensitivity and control. There, he found his surprising talent.

At the age of 24, with the retirement of an old instructor, Selene became a beginner instructor in North Ladora Academy. During a celebration of a friend's birthday, they went a famous restaurant in the city, Lurecia.

It began by wanting to eat a special dish again, but even with the same ingredients, he could not replicate the exact sensation. Selene later discovered that the fish used was caught in a spring from the snowy peaks. Water purity, the chef he talked to said proudly, but Selene had a different guess; rich water elements. And as a good researcher, every theory needed to be tested.

At the age of 28, Selene's reputation as a magic chef had spread through the town. While the name Gourmet Wizard spread, many spoke it in sneer of Selene's lacking capability in magic. He could cook with magic, but so what? Selene ignored the storm outwardly, but his feeling inside was complicated. At the end of the school year, he submitted his resignation to the academy.

To everyone's surprise, Selene did not leave Lurecia. Instead, he opened a restaurant in the city's busiest street. Gourmet Wizard, the name uttered in mockery among academicians became a moniker uttered in awe by customers. On Winter Solstice, Baron Loeren invited Selene to prepare a feast for his family. His resounding praise that followed cemented his fame in the region.

Yet, Selene remained restless.

Through Baron Loeren, Selene got his hands on magic ingredients he could not think of before. The more he saw, the more he realized how little he knew. If the small barony had so many ingredients, what could the other regions hold? The capital? The other kingdoms?

At the age of 32, Selene left the restaurant in his student's hand and departed on a wagon. His eyes shone with a new goal. To travel further, to see more, to familiarize himself with more ingredients.

Selene did many things in his travel. He sold meals from his wagon and entertained rich merchants and town leaders to gain money. He put up bounties in adventurer guilds and scoured local markets for ingredients. Life on the road was not easy, but Selene was happy.

Primary: Elemental Magic
Selene's proficiency in the elements is recognized by North Ladora Academy. His true expertise and the field that propels him to fame is Arcane Culinary, the field he pioneers that research the presence of elements and mana in food materials.

Secondary: Enhancement Magic
Selene's expertise in enhancement magic lies on increasing sensitivty for the purpose of researching elements and mana. It has little combat use beyond perception.

ARCANE CULINARY
A branch of (mostly) elemental magic pioneered by Selene Stormclaw that focuses on the manipulation of mana and elements in cooking. Spells of this branch sacrifice range and power in exchange for precision and efficiency.

Elements Cooking
The foundational set of technique of a Gourmet Wizard. Preserve, enhance, and stimulate the natural elements in the ingredients. Advance application of this technique allows for an alchemy-like reaction that combines several ingredients to create a result more than the two parts combined.

Culinary Domain
An auxiliary set of technique that complements Elements Cooking. Remove any trace of elements and mana from the cooking area to avoid contamination. Advance application of this technique allows for the selective entrance of desired elements and control of environmental mana to subsidize the wizard's mana usage.

Absolute Sense
An auxiliary set of technique that complements Elements Cooking that stems from enhancement magic. Enhance a wizard's olfactory, auditory, tactile, visual, taste, mana perception, and elements perception to allow precise control over the cooking process.

Elemental Infusion
Imbue objects with a certain elements. This spell increases the conductivity of objects to the elements imbued and allows for smoother manipulation of the element. This process also reduces contamination of the object's elements to the ingredients.

COMBAT CAPABILITIES

Elemental Magic
While not his specialty, Selene is a certified graduate and magic instructor of North Ladora Academy. He is familiar with spells from fire and water elements. His usage of earth, wind, nature, and metal elements are out of practice. He is unfamiliar with other type of elements outside of their involvement in cooking and theoretical usage.

Enhancement Magic
On top of his natural sensitivity to mana, Selene is proficient in enhancement spells that improves perception of the five senses. His best spell is the Eagle Vision spells that improves vision.
NATURAL ABILITIES

Mana Sensitivity
Selene trained his sensitivity toward mana beyond the natural talent he initially possessed. Change in environmental mana cannot escape his grasp.

Mana Control
Fine control of mana and elements is the foundation of arcane culinary; the fine balance, distribution, and concentration of mana and elements demand Selene to control mana with amount incomparably small to any combative spell.

WEAKNESSES

Limited Mana Reserve
Selene possesses limited mana pool compared to his peers. While he makes up for it with high sensitivity and control, his lacking mana reserve is a truth that can't be reversed.

Blood of a Civilian
Selene is an inexperienced fighter. He is a chef and scholar before he is an archmage.

Has a very rebellious nature to her and will deliberately go out of her way to prove it. Extremely stubborn and independent to an annoying level, will avoid any help even if it's clear she'll never be able to complete the task she's attempting. She never gives up and is considered a perfectionist, she will dedicate all her time to a task just to get it right. One could describe her as a very serious and hardworking person. She's very spiteful and will often hold grudges, she's also judgmental and rarely gives second chances. She's also an introvert and a people observer, she prefers lurking in the shadows, although that doesn't mean she can't hold a conversation. She's a rather tough cookie to crack and refuses to show her sensitive side to anyone, often enough she'll isolate herself from everyone but eventually will go right back to her old stubborn self. Surprisingly has lived a decent life for a daemon, being born and raised most of her childhood in Nybithia. Her father's identity has never been revealed to her, the only information she has on her father is that he was a daemon and perished before she was born. Velix can thank her mother, Zera, for having a family name. Her parents had decided to go against society and help form a better world for daemons, so they adopted a family name and moved to Nybithia to start a family, information on where her parents came from has also never been revealed to her. Her mother is a very political person and is constantly fighting for daemon rights, seeing that daemons should be accepted into society. Whilst Velix has always been the opposite and believes daemons and other races shouldn't mix, which inevitably brought a split between the two.

After splitting with Zera, Velix spent the next portion of her life roaming most of Nybithia and Arcor Grier. Most of her skills were learned during her time in Arcor Grier, that being thievery, sleight of hand, stealth, locating vital points, and some life lessons. While her affinity for magic, (primarily dark) has been developed on her own without training, therefore it isn't exactly top-notch magic or by-the-book magic. In her early years her mother, Zera, helped teach the basic concept of magic, although Zera herself isn't a magician and has an affinity with fire. Eventually, she built up a reputation in Arcor Grier as 'The Violet Phantom' due to her purple attire, mastery at disappearing, and dark magic. There at Arcor Grier, she takes up quests that others wouldn't normally take, although she often dreams of leaving Arcor Grier behind and living a different life.

Velix has an above-average mana potential, although most of her knowledge about magic has been learned through trial and error since not everyone wants to teach a daemon who believes she's better than everyone else. The main spells that she's perfected over the years are listed below:

Shadow Teleport [89% Mastered]

The ability to teleport to any shadow within 50 meters. Currently, it's almost mastered by Velix, with a mentor and training the potential could go further. Shadows are practically teleportation pads to Velix, able to hop from one to the next, however, this does not mean that she submerges into the shadow. Velix is constantly testing the limits of this power and little by little expanding the range of this spell. She's able to use this spell as much as she wants, although she has a 30-second cooldown and must be aware of the shadow she wants to teleport to, therefore mapping out the area is highly crucial for her. She's able to use this ability not only on herself but on others as well, including nonliving objects. The only limit is that the person or object she wants to teleport cannot be larger than herself or the shadow she wants it to teleport to and it must be already standing on/in a shadow.

Shadow Trap [65% Mastered]

Able to mess with the nature/essence of a shadow. Currently, Velix hasn't fully mastered or understood this ability, it's quite common for this ability to backfire on her at its current level. This is a very limited power since she has to be in contact with the shadow and whatever material the shadow is touching. For example, by touching the shadow and the floor she can change that material into a quicksand-type material and it will remain like so unless the shadow or the floor moves. So this is mainly dependent on the state of the shadow/material, if she sets the trap down while it's noon and it becomes sunset and the shadow has moved then the trap will no longer be there. It takes a lot of mapping out the area and learning specific patterns to make this spell useful. She can only make two at a time and it won't wear out. Once someone or something has been ensnared in the trap it will sink a foot deep into the shadow and will not be able to get out until the shadow has moved or a counter-spell has been activated. This trap still takes effect on creatures or objects that are smaller than a foot.

Shadow Self/Pin [30% Mastered]

Able to replace someone's shadow with her own. Velix is nowhere near mastering or fully understanding the potential of this ability. This spell takes a lot of mana and can only be used once per month. The premise of this power is that she can control her own shadow. She's able to move her own shadow and even have it leave her to take the place of another living creature's shadow. She's able to locate her shadow at any point. Thanks to its current level of mastery it hasn't reached its full potential yet. There are many downsides to this ability, such as she's unable to change the shape of her shadow. So whoever her shadow is pinned to there's a chance they'll notice that their shadow is smaller/bigger than themselves and has horns. Currently, her shadow cannot go any further from her body than 500 meters.

Zera Menel
Velix's daemon mother, they are not on speaking terms. Zera was last seen alive in Ag'Dral, Nybithia.
Being around people she doesn't trust (basically everyone) Velix will wear a bunny mask. The main purpose of this mask is to hide her identity and hide her horns, the ears are an inch longer than her horns which covers up her horns from the front angle, if anyone were to look at her from behind or at the sides they would see the horns. This mask is made out of wood from Nybithia, it is painted black with dark purple spots splattered on the mask resembling stars. Black transparent cloth covers the inside of the mask.

She likes wearing a dark purple cloak, the hood has holes for her horns and the bunny mask so the hood can never fall off while she's running. She likes to think that her alias, 'The Violet Phantom' came from her purple cloak.

Velix's family name, Menel, means essentially a person of the stars. Her parents invented this term, they intended to rename daemon kind to Menel, which meant in their terms a person of the stars. The main inspiration for this was that most daemons had an affinity for dark and fire magic, what better combination of the two than stars? However, their aspiration for renaming daemon kind was far too big for them to achieve, so they settled on the name becoming their family name. (Fun fact: Menel means 'Heaven' or region of stars in Sindarin, aka Tolkien's Elvish language)

The Carter were a very average families of upper middle class merchants.
The eldest brother, Charles, followed in his father footsteps. But his younger brother, Frederick, was a peculiar man. And as peculiar man so often do. He gladly became a magician and a researchers. Trading a cushy life as a merchant for the meager salary of professor at the University.

Charles married and had two sons and one daughter. Doted on by her brothers, parent and uncle. The young Elisabeth was set for a quiet but lovely life.
At her 7 birthday, uncle Freddie like she called him, gifted his niece a book of tales. From the gods, the ages of men, the heroes of the past and the battle of yore, from magic to myths. Little by little, little Lizzie tried out every flavor wonder and adventure had to offer. And yet, on and on she hungered for more.
Her favorite tale was the one of the kind maiden and the white fox. Of how in payback for saving him the magical fox lead the girl to an enchanted brook that had the power to cure illnesses.
Frederick house soon became a second home for the young girl. Now surrounded by books about foreign and wild lands, maps of countries barely threaded, and undeciphered scrolls. The young Lizzie fell asleep dreaming of adventures and fabulous discoveries.

At 10 years old, her mother fell terribly ill. The 2 years that followed saw pass doctors, physicians, medics, mages, conmen, and at the end preachers. Olivia Carter died and left behind her husband Charles, their two sons George and Alexander, and their daughter Elisabeth. Life went on as the family nursed their loss. But things were never the same. The young Lizzie fell asleep dreaming that she too had a magic brook.

Now at 20 years old. Elisabeth Carter was a peculiar woman. Studying water and healing magic, as well as ancient texts, day and night.
She was credited for being the best researcher on the effect of magic on normal water and their interactions. Despite being respected, some founds her new interpretations of ancient texts controversial. Elisabeth going against the theories of many of her peers.
Who believed that myths from the old ages were mainly metaphorical, and were to be studied only through a cultural glance.
The many wonders of the ages of Eden been long lost to wars and time.
But the young woman kept defending that some of the magical artefacts cited still existed. Basing her claims on how certain myths only appeared recently, the many ruins found everywhere, or how some lead to very specific locations that had not been explored or even found.
It was not long before discussions with her peers turned into arguments.

Soon, despite her father and brothers protest, Elisabeth departed for Ark helped by her uncle. Well decided to prove her theories, she set her gaze on the legends of the maiden and the folk. Deep down she knew that the answers didn't matter. She just needed to know. After many trials and wild goose chase, Elisabeth found a promising trail. In the empire province of Aka lived secluded clans of fox thyro nicknamed the Sui. The local word for water. The first contact was not easy, all the clans divided on helping the young researcher or chasing the filthy human away.

It was among all this messiness that Elisabeth found something unexpected. Among those intrigued by the persistent woman, and her tales of vast prowling cities and wonders far beyond the Aka province. Was the son of one of the chief of the Seisui Clan. The curious and brave Yuuto. The son of the chief was among those wishing to reforms his clan. Tired of waiting by as the whole of the Sui clans dragged behind and clang to their former glory. He saw Elisabeth as his chance and offered his help. As they worked, and often bickered, the two found a kindred soul in the others. Both wishing for changes that no one believed in. Until they met the others. It was only a matter of time before the both of them realized their feelings. To the great amusement of all the villagers, who had long since placed their bet on when the two would get it. Despite some violent protest from the more traditional members of his clan, Yuuto married Elisabeth to the cheers and joy of many. The couple being widely liked for helping the little province develop. Elisabeth making use of her research and knowledge to modernize the village whenever she could.

Very soon the couple were gifted their first child in winter. The little girl hair as white as snow, the both decided to name her Yukishiro. In homage to the fox name in the tale that lead Elisabeth all the way there. The years that followed were not always easy. A part of the Sui clans still hostile to the young woman and now her daughter. But the love in their hearth and the support of Yuuto village far outweighed that. Yukishiro grew up peacefully in the Aka region as her father became the village chief and her mother continued her researchs.

It soon ended when one night, her mother woke her up and they departed in a hurry. The little girl memories are hazy, save for the rising fear and dread she felt as her mother didn't answers any of her questions. Where were they going ? Why were they leaving ? And most importantly. Where was her father ?
Not stopping once, her mother brought Yukishiro to Accel for the first time. The girl remember that her mother used to go alone, but always promised her that she would meet her other family one day. The young girl would soon wish that day never came. Elisabeth left Yukishiro to her uncle, Frederick, along with a book containing copies of all her researchs. She told him to take care of her daughter, hugged them both like her life depended on it, and left as swiftly as she came.

One month later at 32, Elisabeth Seisui was found drown with her husband Yuuto Seisui in a river near the province of Kyoko.
That's all that Yukishiro remember. Some vague but happy memories, and the murder of her beloved parent when she just turned 7 years old.

Adapting to Accel proved to be difficult for the young girl at first. Now going under the name Alice Carter. Despite being somewhat bilingual, she collected faux pas and misunderstanding after misunderstanding at first. Not helping was her grandfather Charles less tend pleasant disposition toward what he saw as the reason for his daughter's dead.

As the years passed, supported by her grandfather Frederick, or papie Freddie, and her uncles George and Alexander. Alice started to like Accel and find her footing. She soon showed the same interest for magic as her mother and graduated with honor at the University of Littlebrook. Taking a position here as a teacher, she made a name for herself by assessing the water system abyssal quality and trying to push out reforms. Despite now having many friends and a loving family, the dead of her parent remained an open wound that kept haunting her.

Now established, and with the fearful but understanding approval of her family. Alice is set on finishing her mother work, and continuing the changes her father wished to see.

Personality
Nerina carries herself with pride and grace. The last time she trusted someone, it led her to her grave. She had to learn things the hard way, but the pain that lingered due to someone's treachery, it gave birth to a complete different person. Building up a wall, she became distant towards others thinking that she has no need for friendship and romance for they are mere child's play. Having pledged her loyalty to her new masters, she's determined to live to their expectations. Anything under their command, she follows.
Her past
Nerina Tempest, a name well known amongst the races residing in Nybithia. She was once part of the first generation of the Apex Axis 67 years ago. Voted by the majority, Rina was chosen as the representative of their race and was given the title of “Prima Donna”, the first lady. With her modest ways and intellect, the wisps admired her capabilities, treating her with respect and significance. Another trait of hers that most of them adored was her kindness. Even though she had a status and constantly tried to live up to her role, she wasn’t fond of being treated with importance. Although some may have been succumbed by arrogance at this point due to having power over their race, Nerina remained humble and kind hearted. Always believing in equality and handled conflicts with decency.

However, her good-natured heart took its toll when she met this certain man. Before, the Prima Donna never understood as to why their country was prejudiced against humans. Perhaps it was her naivety, but Nerina believed in the good soul of all races. While some may be entirely wicked and are capable of doing immoral deeds, it didn’t sit right for her to name them whole as evil.

At some point, there was a man who infiltrated their village but was eventually caught due to his poor and inexperienced ways. The reason was unknown regarding the purpose of his invasion. Obviously, the unnamed man was treated crudely by the wisps and while the rest of her race ought to punish him, her kindness took over and couldn’t bring herself to kill the man. She looked at him with sympathy and kept the man hidden in her chambers for the meantime. The nameless one expected that death would come upon them sooner or later, however, Rina’s kindness gave him a second chance in life and decided for herself to set him free. While their days spent together were short, he shared some stories of his experience in life as he ventures in the outside world. As a woman who has never journeyed far from her land, she was enchanted by his tales, finding herself entertained whenever in his presence.

In such short amount of time, she was thankful for the friendship that formed under unfortunate events. Eventually, they had to bid their farewells before the rest of her race raised suspicions. Nerina waved a solemn goodbye, knowing in the back of her mind that they will never meet again.

A few weeks passed and she heard a familiar voice calling out to her, along with the pebbles hitting against her windows. Opening the stained glasses, a cold gentle mist tickled her skin, and while the evening hues painted the sky, his familiar gaze gleamed against the moon. How could she ever forget? The excitement and joy that settled on her chest, it was almost hard to believe that such thing could happen.

Ever since then, the man would visit her babbling about his journeys, and at times he would even bring along gifts which Nerina gladly accepted. Little did she know that the reason beneath his actions would eventually lead her to her grave. Apparently, a running rumor had spread across the humans that harvesting the heart of a wisp will help one to reach higher levels in magic. As a woman who easily trusted, she never saw through his actions and genuinely cherished their time together.

Until one night, the man asked her to meet them in the forest, somewhere distant from their village. With every step she took, she didn’t know she was getting closer to her death. That night, as they stood under the blossoming tree, it all seemed natural until he offered her a fruit which was the trump card in his game. After a bite, the Prima Donna was caught in a weakened state. It was as if she was paralyzed. However, as the man attempted to gauge her heart out, it took every ounce of her mana to crystalize her whole body. With the last of her beating heart, she was fully encased in ice. Her last vision before complete darkness was seeing her friend’s face enveloped in tears, running further and further away from her sight.

Present
67 years had passed, it was like she was trapped in a never ending dream. When she awakened, the first that met her eye was Kaiserin, accompanied by another woman named Emma. They were the ones who released her from the darkness that felt like eternity. Nerina was already dead when they found her body. Even though decades had passed, it was seemingly preserved due to her ability. With the Empress’ powers, the wisp was given another chance to live. She owed to them her life and pledged to them her loyalty.

Waking up in a new era, she was like a newborn being introduced to this unknown world. The village that she used to reside in was already abandoned. She never knew what happened to the rest of her family while she was gone. However, the pain that she felt that night still tortured her, the memories tormenting her mind and eating her away. Her once radiant smile and persistent belief in kindness to all was long gone. How much one human corrupted her heart, she is now driven by revenge. She vowed that if they ever meet again, he will never receive a painless death.

Nerina eventually joined her new masters in their journey back to the Kingdom of Ladora, setting foot to an unknown path outlined to her by the Empress. Even so that her freedom was taken away, she’s still grateful for this chance since she can now see for herself what adventure the world has to offer.
Abilities:
Cryomancy - The ability to perform ice magic. Although wisps are well versed in magic, Nerina chose to master only one element to further explore its capabilities. Freezing liquid, casting crystallized shards, snow storm (with a set radius of course), dropping temperature in an area, name it. There are variety of ways on how she can use her abilities, however, she prefers fighting in the distance for wisps are very fragile. Added to that, as an ice mage she can withstand lower temperature even to the point where some would experience hypothermia.

Eldritch Contract - As a part of a sealed deal between the Empress and her, Rina possesses another ability which allows her to summon tentacles at will like extra limbs which proves useful in offense and binding enemies.

Weakness
Weak to fire/lava magic of course. Even though wisps have great mana potential, Nerina has her limits. She can't continuously cast her magic without any strain. If ever she used her magic recklessly and drain every bit of her mana, worst case scenario is leading herself to death since it can backfire and freeze her own heart. Furthermore, her lack in martial knowledge is what limits her when it comes to hand to hand combat.

Natural Abilities:
Insight - Noticing subtle changes in movements, whether it may be in mannerisms, body languages or speech habits, Nerina leans to the information that her eyes perceive. Her past has taught her to be aware and cautious towards people who acts suspiciously in her presence.

Nature - Wisps along with Auris and Azura are beings who lived and survived away from human civilization. When it comes to having knowledge in regards to nature, faunas, and natural occurrences in the world of Altair, these races have the upper hand.

History - Having lived long enough which spanned decades after decades, she has witnessed the changes that gradually grew in this world as she aged. The lore of certain areas and past generations that Altair holds, she keeps this knowledge engraved in her mind.

- Ever since the dreaded fate that occured years ago, the people from Nybithia never heard from her since and was considered missing or dead. The mystery remains for her sudden disappearance. Some may think she ran away from the responsibilities as she was once part of the Apex Axis.. While some may still be on the look for her since it was never confirmed that she was dead. Still, her name would be spoken off by the beings that resides within Nybithia.
- Somewhere in the forest of Nybithia, a gigantic tree rests in the middle of a frozen swamp along with a large ice crystal sitting under its massive branches. Though seasons have passed, the area is still seemingly trapped in winter. Some adventurers may have come upon this, however, there was no merit in exploring it for there are no resources to salvage. This odd occurrence couldn't be explained and was usually left alone by many travelers. Little did they know that this is where Nerina's deceased body rested. The area remained that way until two women discovered her body.

Literal years of laying back on boats and docks have made Clanire into an exceptionally easygoing gal. Still though, her patience may be lengthy, but that's somewhat for the good of everyone else. You see, the simplest way I can describe Clanire is a nuke with a comically long fuse. Yes, she rarely goes nuclear, but when her composure runs dry then it's best to take cover and pray to whichever Aetherian you believe in. Hell, the citizens of Sev'Ocea still talk about the "Jade Baracuda Incident" to this day....

People are like fish. Or at least, that's what Calnire says. Some of them and brutes and must be met with equal strength to simmer them down. Some instead are delicate and easy to spook, thus you must approach and treat them with extreme care. Some of them are so friendly they practically jump directly onto your boat by themselves. But most importantly, what matters to her isn't what they look like or what body of water they are from, to Clanire what matters the most is what they truly taste like or if they bring with them thrills and excitement. Does any of this make any sense? To put it into the simplest terms, you are a walking bass in the eyes of Clanire.

BACKSTORY
About a day and a half of travel from Ag'Dral awaits the fishing village of Sev'Ocea, a small auri settlement built upon the coast of the Enma Sea for its resources. Within this unassuming town one of its denizens has caused quite a stir as she have announced her departure from Sev'Ocea into the great unknown. The culprit in question is one of the village's most renowned fishers: Clanire Virkalyn. Those who closely knew the girl could tell you this farewell was long overdue, however those who simply knew her for her feats had been completely blindsided.

You see, Clanire had been born and raised within Sev'Ocea, being the offspring of Rathal Virkalyn (One of the village's few merchants) and Kythaela Carvalur (The most renowned female fisher at the time). The love that both parents held for their child was easy for all to see, and so was the love that their child gave them back. It was at an early age that Clanire became interested in what her mother did for a living, often hitching a ride on her boat whenever she was given the chance, and the moment she was old enough to hold a fishing rod you could say she was immediately hooked. In a miniscule matter of time fishing had become a core part of Clanire's days, so much so that at times either Rathal or Kythaela were forced to pick her up and take her back into their home. Despite this though, this new-found obsession was more than encouraged by her parents. Her mother would dedicate the day to teach Clanire all about the best techniques, baits and spots to perfect her fishing prowess. On the other hand, her father would spend the night educating her on the best ways to store fish, their sale prices, the optimal ways of cooking them, etc.

As the years went by Clanire had become an absolute prodigy at the art of fishing. It didn't matter the size, the ferocity or the stealth some of her prey displayed, 'cause they all ended up savoring the same metallic taste of a fishing rod's hook. However, one fish had eluded her for as long as she could remember: The legendary freshwater beast, Thousand Fins. This underwater brute of monstrous size was a nomad found within the rivers of Nybithia, never once staying for too long in a single spot. Tracking him down was herculean task in and of itself, however, actually forcing it out of his watery confines was considered to be impossible. Hooks would shatter, lines would snap and fishers would tumble into the murky depths, nobody could ever snag this prized trophy, and Clanire was once of those he had tasted defeat multiple times. Such was her determination however that every year this auri girl would dedicate an entire month to travelling through the rivers of Nybithia in search of Thousand Fins. Years went by and the scaley fiend always seemed to give her the slip, despite her best efforts, though it all changed one stormy evening. At the time Clanire was 52, and she was hot on the trail of Thousand Fins. She was so sure this would be the one that she had passed her limit of a month by 2 weeks at that point. The wind was howling and the rain cruelly struck at the auri while lighting danced in the night sky. But it didn't matter to Clanire, her conviction was impenetrable and her sight was firmly placed on her fishing rod. Suddenly, a tug, one of barbaric yet recognizable strength. He had arrived. Clanire's memories of the event are now hazy, she's unsure if the battle went on for minutes or hours. Either way, it all seemed for not, as the sheer force of Thousand Fins and the violent weather suddenly caused the boat to capsize, throwing Clanire into the depths of the river. Underneath the surface she could not hear or see anything, the only thing she truly felt was the cold that had quickly embraced her body and the strain as her hands still held on to the fishing rod. Time was running out. And then she felt a familiar tool brush up against her back. Her harpoon. Clanire's left arm immediately let go of the fishing rod and reached back to get ahold of her weapon, though the strain was proving to be impossible for only her right hand to withstand for too long. In a flash, Clanire jabbed the harpoon forward, over and over again. Many of her jabs missed, but those precious few that had found their mark soon won the day. The strain stopped. Still blind, the auri was forced to surface back out as the scuffle had practically emptied all of her lung's air reserves. At first there was nothing, just the distant sight of lighting. And then it emerged, Thousand Fins now limb body. What followed was a few seconds of staring, several more of dragging the beast onto the shore and then many minutes of laying on the grass just staring up at the rainy sky. She had done it. Somehow, against all odds, she had done it. Thousand Fins was no more, and it was all due to her. At this point of the story Clanire simply explains that the following day she was already heading back to Sev'Ocea, always claiming that the hours that followed were too much of a blur to recount properly.

As expected, the small village celebrated such a monumental achievement, and a myriad of congratulatory phrases were thrown around. That night Sev'Ocea threw a small feast to commemorate such a remarkable occasion, with the main dish being Thousand Fins himself. He tasted absolutely horrible. But whatever, the night went on and with enough drinks one could easily chow him down. And well, after that life returned to normal. The town went back to being its usual self and so did Clanire...or did she? That whole year something began aching within her, something that slowly began zapping her enthusiasm: Thousand Fins was gone, there was no other challenge left for her to tackle. Every single day she would fish out the same old species with the same old methods, it felt as if her worldview had now grown stagnant. It all came to a head during her 55th birthday, when Clanire finally announced her desire to depart from Sev'Ocea. She had grown way too big for such a pond, there was a whole new world of sea critters waiting for her to find them, but they were all so far away. And so, after an emotional farewell Clanire was off, taking on the world before her with her fishing rod, harpoon and net in hand. Cause you know what they say, there's always a bigger fish.
ABILITIES:

As a fishing village Sev'Ocea has always been finely attuned with water, thus it's easy to find practitioners of this strain of elemental magic, Clanire being one of them. While I'd be hard-pressed to classify her as a complete expert within this field, she's definitely adept enough to show off a noticeable amount of finesse. To name a few of the skills she has:
-Water whip: As the name implies, the caster wields a stream of water similarly to a whip. Contact against unexposed skin may leave behind bruises and cuts.
-Water prison: After a few seconds of channelling, the caster encapsulates the target within an orb of water, easily being able to transport the prisoner around afterwards (Just don't forget to let them breathe from time to time).
-Water bullet: In the blink of an eye the user sends forth a sizable water-based projectile, the damage it deals being similar to a powerful punch.
NATURAL ABILITIES
-Fishing: Whether it's with a fishing rod, a harpoon or a net, Clanire's prowess within the field of fishing is a hard one to match. Give her a body of water and she'll bring back a soon-to-be feast within a few minutes. Not only that, but her knowledge of the murky depths makes it so that she's able to spot dangers and oddities that lay beneath the surface with ease.
-Remarkable body strength: With years spent swimming and carrying catches that far exceed her weight it isn't hard to see how Clanire can pack quite a punch if her hits connect.
-Art of the trade: If eating fish ain't your cup of tea then do not fret, 'cause Clanire can easily turn any sea critter into gold given enough time, there's always someone out there looking for an oceanic meal after all.

-Absolutely no combat experience: This speaks for itself, but to dive deeper into it Clanire literally has NEVER been involved in any sort of situation that involves fighting someone else. Hell, even the previously mentioned spells have their origins rooted in practical uses. Water whip was used to remove the spikes and scales from a particularly poisonous fish from a safe distance, water prison was utilised in order to transport live fish without removing them from the water and water bullet was used to deter any would-be predators from getting too close to one's catches.
-Knowledge from a small village: The view from Sev'Ocea is a beautiful one, but also an extremely confined one. From history, to locations and even its races, Clanire has absolutely no proper knowledge of the world in which she lives, and so she's completely dependent on other people's direction and words to get by without getting completely lost.

Emma has the perceived social grace of an underfed wet cat; one of the many suspected reasons why she has never appeared in a single social function. Jumpy, anxious, and overall unfit for any sort of conversation with higher nobility, the overall view of the court on her is either one of neutrality or spite. Public perception of her is almost non-existent aside from the rare times that people actually see her be with the queen and even then, these are mere glances before she seemingly disappears again. This is the persona that she dons to lessen suspicion over her— though make no mistake, Emma would flee at the first mention of having to talk among the nobility and the likes. She never found herself being able to fit in with those people and she never will.

In truth, Emma is far more cunning and expressive. A trickster with a yearning for the thrill of life, she throws herself in situations that might even be against her just because she deems it fun. She tries to live her life as best as she can. Undyingly loyal to those she pledges herself to and those she teaches, Emma doesn't take kindly to betrayal from these people. Nevertheless, she can often be seen in a jovial mood when she's not trying to play the part of a no-name retainer.
BACKSTORY
Ladora is a land built on power and merit and she has proven herself quite the able body by managing to get so far with so little.

Said to have been orphaned by the war, Emma didn’t really have a lot working out for her as a child. She had displayed talent in magic a bit later than most in life and without a proper way of cultivating it, it took a while for her to realize the true potential of the magic she could wield. Then, all she could think about was pure survival powered by the will to get a better life, to grasp a better future for herself. That stubbornness had gotten her into plenty of rough spots but had led her to something greater as well.

Kaiserin was one such person. A Calamity. Yet Emma was quickly drawn to her, stumbling after her light. One Emma knew she could grow in. Ever since their fateful encounter, the two stuck to each other like glue.

It was easier to survive in the world when there were two of you— one to plan and the other to act. Perhaps Kaiserin treated her more like a dog than a companion when they were younger but Emma found their schemes fun to do so she kept her mouth upturned and a laugh on her lips constantly. But the Calamity of Greed could not be stopped from yearning for more and Emma enabled this.

When they set their eyes on the throne of Ladora, two street rats with nothing to their name, it felt impossibly far. But battle was something they excelled at and employing trickery managed to land Kaiserin in a good light. So Emma vanished from history, directing any and all fanfare towards her friend while she worked in the background to aid her. There will come a time in the future when historians will look back and wonder what led to some of these impossible odds being turned on its head all of a sudden and they will never know of Emma’s help during these times. Kaiserin was the hero. She was just her shadow.

They eventually climbed the ranks as Kaiserin was regaled as a war hero and Emma was simply brought along. When she had become a queen, Emma was welcomed within the castle as a… what was she, really? A retainer? A concubine? No one could ever be sure. However, her friendly relations to Kaiserin made some people think that she was just there due to some favoritism from the queen. Emma simply continued to do her job. Whatever people said about her wasn’t important; in fact, it would be great if her reputation was simply an incompetent fool or a nobody.

She formed a small organization of assassins and spies called “The Nameless”, trained them, and garnered their undying loyalty before sending them off. They are her eyes and ears and an extension of her blade. Ladora may be a land based on merit and fame but these people actively erase their identities from the world. Their names hold no meaning, and their faces hold no value but their skills speak for themselves. Emma treats this group with kindness and vigor but everyone in it knows that stepping out of line was not an option.
ABILITIES:

Darkness | Light Magic [Elemental] - An odd yet effective combination of magic for an assassin, Emma uses it to change the perception of others such as turning invisible. Her darkness magic is far more advanced as she has the ability to enter a shadow and disappear into it then travel from one shadow to another so long as they are close by. This makes her imperceptible to the common eye and practically intangible if there is no way to completely destroy the darkness she inhabits. She can freely enter and exit the shadows by choice.

Offensively, she robs people of their senses. She either creates a flash of blinding light or envelops someone in complete darkness so that they cannot see anything. While inside the darkness, sound is muffled but still present. When push comes to shove, Emma can create tangible forms using the shadows to act as her weapons.

Natural Abilities

Sneaking - Even without the use of magic, Emma has this eerie ability to seemingly erase her presence from somewhere and blend into a crowd. Perhaps it is because she is easily forgettable or perhaps it is a learned skill as she grew up in the streets, but there's no mistake that Emma is skilled in the art of disappearing as she is both light and fast on her feet.

Marksmanship - Emma knows to make every movement and every shot count and that means that Emma has trained herself well in this regard. Whether it be throwing a dagger in between the eyes of a revolutionary, hurling a goblet at one of her students, or shooting an arrow straight into the bullseye, Emma makes sure that she's able to hit her mark most of the time.

Poison Knowledge - What she lacks in pure strength, she makes up for in poison potency. To ensure her targets are well and truly dead, Emma has gotten around to using poison on her equipment. This extends to poisonous plants, and venomous animals, and how to synthesize them for use.

Weaknesses

Durability - Emma is an assassin, not a fighter. She specializes in hit-and-run tactics and, as such, is not built to absorb hits. While she is still a trained professional that can likely last longer than a normal citizen, it would be ill-advised for her to get hit by other combatants.

Politics - Emma makes decisions based on her own interests with no regard for the grand scheme of things. Unfortunately, there are also only a few people who can stop her from doing something incredibly reckless just because she felt offended.

Magic Limitation - While her magic is incredibly useful for her job, reliance on it would be a detriment. Her magic revolves around continuous spellcasting which cannot be sustained for long. She also isn't capable of keeping concentration on her magical abilities while making her own attacks in her current state.

*Magical Throwing Knives - Emma carries around six knives magically connected to her that allow her to recall the knives back to her in a linear pattern and hit anything that blocks its path. She prepares half of it with poison and the other without.

In the wake of a calamity, a band of scavengers discovered a child of crooked form - dark locks, pale skin, twisted bones, and a mouth that reached her ears. Though appalled, the men saw profit in the child's horrors. They loaded the weak girl into their wagon and set out for the city, alongside the instruments of war that littered the site of her origin. There, an auction was held and the child was sold for three shekels to a group of merchants who turned her into a circus attraction.

Treated less than a dog, the girl never learned what it was like to truly exist. She spent her days and nights locked in a cage, knowing nothing but to be thrown rocks at and to be laughed at for her unfortunate form. For all she knew, this was life.

One fateful night, a girl her age appeared from the shadows. She spoke of freedom, of life beyond her cage and the merchant's camp, as she opened the metal bars and took her hand. She learned that there were so many things out there, and the newfound fact had awakened a gnawing hunger in her soul. Thus, when one of the guards attempted to stop them from escaping, the crooked girl couldn't stop herself from giving in to greed.

World Devourer (Kirby)

The Empress desires to covet anything it wants. Kaiserin possesses mouths that can tear through and consume anything. Whatever finds itself in her mouth has little to no chance of escaping, with rows of razor-sharp teeth aligned in each one. It's said that the Empress can digest anything, and there are rumors that say consumed individuals would no longer be reincarnated as their souls would simply cease from existence. Whether this is true or not is yet to be discovered. Would you like to test it out?

Grotesque Expansion

The Empress can assume her true form, either completely or partly, at will. Kaiserin's ultimate form is a gigantic amorphous blob of dark mass with numerous tentacle-like protrusions, littered with several mouths and eyes of varying sizes. Much like slime, she's capable of changing shape as well as sprouting and regrowing limbs from any part of her body. Furthermore, she can manipulate her density, allowing her to strike heavy blows, crush enemies, and tank basic attacks or slip through small cracks and pretend like a black puddle on the ground.

Super Strength

The Empress possesses supernatural strength in and out of Grotesque Expansion. It'd be awkward if she didn't. Imagine a massive eldritch monster hitting like a wet noodle.

Hybrid Abilities (Magical + Racial)

Eldritch Contract

The Empress may form contracts with willing or freshly deceased individuals by donating a piece of her True Form to their being. It can attach itself to missing limbs and take on the part, tangle itself around a non-beating heart to pump it, or just simply wrap itself around a wrist. The mass will strongly adhere itself to the site and become nigh-impossible to remove. Furthermore, the host will have a taste of Grotesque Expansion, gaining the ability to sprout dark tentacles that they can manipulate. The downside of this is that the host's life will be completely in the hands of Kaiserin as she can command the Piece to consume any time. Additionally, the host will gravitate toward greed despite their original persona.

Drain

"Drain: As implied, this grants Frittata the ability to drain opponents of her mana and incapacitate them. Draining someone completely will not automatically kill them; however, it will leave them incapacitated.
Lv1: Can easily drain those with weaker wills in a few seconds if left unchecked relatively quickly. While others can resist its effects. Powerful foes will be able to completely resist the drain, only attaining a "funny" feeling."

Skeletal Crown - The Empress fashions a crown made of what appeared to be humanoid fingers. When inquired regarding its nature, Kaiserin would simply say it's made from the bones of her enemies. Clearly, this is a lie because she never leaves any remains.

RELATIONSHIPS

Emma ( AI10100 ) - The one person whom Kaiserin genuinely cares about. If she could, she would put the human above herself. Alas, a Calamity can never escape its nature. Nevertheless, Emma remains to be the one whom she wishes to covet the most.

Nerina Tempest ( Songstress ) - An unfortunate soul she once came across during a walk with Emma. Kaiserin brought the woman back to life using an Eldritch Contract, thereafter adopting her into the Ladora court as one of her Retainers. Nevertheless, Kaiserin usually allows Nerina to wander as she sees fit, only calling for her service every now and then.

The Art of Deceit

Kaiserin indirectly employs artists and bards all over the nation to create rumors about herself. The hearsays range from the most honest of truths to the most absurd of lies. Whatever the case, virtuosos have been creating songs, poems, and other forms of art about the Empress ever since she began rising to fame. The following are some of the rumors enshrouding the Calamity:
- Ocean's Bane - The rumor is fairly simple but extravagant nonetheless. It says that Kaiserin sunk hundreds of Vrae Syx's ships in the middle of the ocean to prevent them from reaching the ports of Ladora.
- Death's Gaze - A few of the Queensguard have reported that they've seen the Empress kill without moving an inch. She simply opened the eye at the center of her forehead and looked at the poor soul before he fell dead on the ground.
- World Devourer - A rumor that was born not out of commission but out of the tales of her cult following. It says that the Empress was the one responsible for the disappearance of 1/8 of the Ark, the nearby sea, and the missing nation. They said she expanded to the size of mountains upon mountains, hid the sun for days, and simply... ate the missing pieces of the world.
Greed's Creed

A fractured religion arose within Ladora a little after Kaiserin rose to power. Some believe the Empress to be a Goddess sent to judge the world for its greed, some believe she's their savior from the mist. The cult is anything but organized when it comes to its beliefs and philosophies. Nonetheless, Kaiserin doesn't really give a damn about them and if anything, finds them amusing and silly.

Mohreyl was born under the weight of immense expectations, told from childhood that she must rise above all, overtake and devour her competition, become the Omen. So she internalized them and forged them into the steel in her spine and the molten rage in her blood-soaked hands. Unfortunately for her family, they were weak hangers-on, desperately pushing their children to achieve a glory they could never reach. When she did, she discarded them, taking glee from their hateful gazes.

She was not above the shadowed machinations of court, and indeed while she took to war, she was raised more to the spymaster’s game. It would never rule her, but she was prideful, not stupid, and she by no means neglected it. Her rise to power was forged in the fires of her ambition, power, rage, and ability, but the shadowed arts buffered and sharpened her ascension. She was loved by her soldiers, feared and respected by her people, and the prime Omen candidate.

It was widely assumed that her long disregarded family would return to prominence alongside her, which, to say the least, wasn’t quite how it went. Once she was locked in as the Omen candidate, chosen by her predecessor and simply awaiting ascension, things erupted. Several extreme scandals emerged about her family, and their names were ash on the tongue of the upper echelons. Many were imprisoned or executed for various crimes, while others simply retreated into the background. In fairness to her, those who did were left largely alone. Things mostly ended when the family patriarch was executed for heresy and embezzlement. However rumor has it it wasn’t that clean and the man made an attempt on her life before being brutally executed personally. Either way it was above-board, but the more brutal tale is, discouraged, mildly.

She became The Omen at age twenty-two, and quickly stepped up into a position of authority. Not for her the distant decision-maker, or uninvolved ruler managed by advisors. She centralized as much power as she could get away with to herself. Much of her focus was on the acquisition of that position, although the Church took careful management. She could not afford to be seen to be acting against the Church of Eleven, so she didn’t. Instead adversarial leaders developed a pattern of having their most embarrassing secrets exposed, affairs with lesser beings, or worse, sympathizing with them, financial crimes, the works.

Over time the Church has maintained it’s power, but become much more friendly to her authority. There are still true believers and powerhouses she can’t touch and must manage otherwise, but by cloaking her intent in legitimate scandal and crime, she could be seen as just. This is only a third of the triad of her machinations however. The first and second arm of her rule of three are economic and militaristic.

She has begun to massively expand Vrae Syx’s already impressive military investment, and funded it by expanding the economic arm of the country, creating a powerful ouroboros. She uses military might and espionage to find resources, whether that be fertile lands, rare spices, mines, and the like. She then uses that might to secure and protect that, as well as guard trade routes. The resulting economic power is then fed back into militaristic power, creating a self fulfilling cycle. Still she has a long battle with entrenched forces to claim power.

Vrae Syx has also established the Reavers, a brutally effective offshoot of their military focused on land and sea defense of trade routes from piracy. They enact extreme measures, and took their name from torturing members of a pirate group for intel they then used to destroy and enslave the pirates. This group is a nominally politically neutral force, that has used that position to shoehorn themselves into a position of international authority. At the moment that authority is very limited, but they are viewed as the foremost anti piracy and banditry force, and they aggressively “support” and absorb similar efforts.

As it stands she leads a Vrae Syx focused on a military economy, with both on a pattern of rapid expansion. Public works are comparatively limited, but this has allowed her to centralize military authority and training, and support recruitment. Who wouldn’t want a better life serving your country with access to main economic arteries and the luxury goods that come with? She has also somewhat modernized trade relations, opening trade with all countries amenable.

The Refinement of the Thundering Draconic Tyrant:
This refinement is hers and hers alone, the product of decades of work and focus as she took her place and built up. It is not widely known to exist, but it is known that she doesn’t fight like a mage, and that those who face her report terrifying thunderous destruction.

Nickname: Lightning Dragon, Tyrant

Attribute enhancement: The Tyrant bears the speed of a raging lightning strike, their speed and reflexes enhanced to the exclusion of nigh-all else, but that dedication pays dividends in raw ability.

Burden: Pride of the Tyrant Lightning: The Tyrant is Lightning, and the Lightning is Tyrannical. They are ruled by this just as much as they rule with it. They would sooner die than follow or obey and a draconic need for control rides their every step. They must unleash that control or that destruction at least once a day lest they begin to go feral. They must also maintain movement unless they want a subtle electric charge to build around their person, although it takes hours for it to build to a dangerous level. Their eyes are also eternally turbulent, and bear the fearsome energy of a deadly lightning storm. This lingering energy also causes them to detest and reject substances like rubber, and be drained by contact with conductive materials. Lastly they share a dragon’s need for treasure, craving things they want, from treasure to people. These things have some greater sway over them, and are less affected by other negative effects of the refinement, but what is treasure is entirely individual to the Tyrant. They are however ridden by a powerful possessiveness that is impossible to hide and difficult to control. Relatedly, damage to what they treasure or control incites killing fury, always.

Abilities:

Heart of Lightning(Passive): They are things of lightning, and they can sense energy around them down to the most miniscule level, sensing even the electricity in a living heartbeat. This makes them near immune to electrical damage.

Additionally this can be focused on to read specific targets, which narrows their senses away from all but the loudest distractions, but allows far deeper reading. This makes deceit functionally impossible, allowing them to read the micro-electrical impulses in muscles, nerve cells, and brain cells(not that the Tyrant knows what those are, just that they are), thus reading an opponent's movements and micro-reactions perfectly. For now this is only single target or less accurately on a couple targets who are immediately adjacent.

Lightning Flow(Passive): Tyrant’s have absolute domain over the energy of their own bodies, and happily abuse that authority to negate the consequences of kinetic energy. This cannot affect incoming blows or anything of the sort, only what they themselves control. This means that their weapons and their hands never experience backlash, and they cannot be hurt by a fall they are aware of. This also imparts that energy to targets as electrical or thermal energy, numbing limbs or burning targets.

Lightning Strike(Active): Elevating the Tyrant’s speed beyond it’s already terrifying level, this ability requires absolute focus, intent, and control. They make a single, specific attack, capable of crossing quite some distance in a blur. This attack is incredibly dangerous, but slightly predictable once you know what it looks like, as there is a visible readying and narrowing of focus for a few moments beforehand.

Tyrant Vitality(Passive/Active): The grim theft of a tyrant, this follows any blow that strikes true, stealing some energy from the target and sapping their strength. Slowly healing and restoring the Tyrant. However this can also be activated on an unaugmented killing blow, giving into deathly tyrannical confidence. This doubles the damage dealt, but if it fails to kill the tyrant is briefly stunned with indignation and frenzied. However if it kills it rips all vital energy from the target, leaving them a husk and greatly restoring the Tyrant. Bodies left this way are distinctly marked by emptiness and difficult to restore.

Growing Power(Passive): During continuous engagements, the consumption of Tyrant Vitality slowly builds the power of the Tyrant, making them stronger, faster, and all around more powerful. Not for them the weakling path of growing weaker with fatigue and pitched battle, a Tyrant at the end of a day of battle is as strong and brimming with vitality as they will ever be. This fades with rest however, as their system normalizes.

Ghost Lightning Strike(Active): This is, in a sense, a testing blow. It is a deliberate deception, moving slower, more obviously, less precisely. The exact degree to which it does so is highly variable. This does minimal damage, if it hits at all, and could in some ways be considered to not be an attack. Instead it focuses on evasion, and moving just fast enough to force the opponent to respond fully, thereby giving the tyrant their measure. A blow received from this is at most glancing, if forceful, but it is exceptionally difficult to hit the Tyrant as they pass, and they will move out of range in the same attack.

Hold the reins, man. He's not easy to shake. Theo's pretty wise with a resourceful and mischievous blend of soft skills that easily complement his sociable character.

Coz is the corruption coursing through Theo's veins. The parasite wanderer feeding off its host both deriving from and occasionally amplifying Theo's extreme qualities including impulsivity, bluntness, daring-ness, and spontaneity. Coz is seemingly reborn into the world, learning as it experiences life along its host. Initially it was a bloodthirsty wanderer hungry for flesh and bone . . ah, but that was in the past. Somehow Theo managed to come to agreement with the dark matter.
BACKSTORY

No one really knows where Theodore came from. Something about a baby showing up randomly in the middle of the Black Hat Syndicate lobby. Not on his own demand. Lil' buddy was just on the center strategy table with no trails of who broke in to leave him. Professional. Long story short, the syndicate took him in and raised him in their dapper ways.

Theo grew up in the lawless land of Arcor Grier. Despite being raised by an organization with the country in their hands, he still managed to find himself lost in the middle of risky influences. It was mischief and havoc galore, no lifestyle for a child freely wandering the streets before being summoned back for dinner. Eh, but that was life in Arcor Grier. Road side tussles, pickpocket dares, and criminal gigs were part of the casual routine.

Anyway, Theo moved to Ladora at around 14 years old with his adoptive family. Why? Bro, I don't know why. They just moved. So this foo went to Ladora, and got hit by a truck of culture shock. We're talking road side handshakes, safe pranks, and bard gigs for casual routine. What universe did he get dragged to? Theo was able to smoothly adapt regardless. He did the usuals. School, work, and you name it! All while still not losing sign of home. He transferred into the Ladora branch of the Black Hat Syndicate, finding more family within. Cool, cool.

This dude even started his own business. A full chain of breweries plotted at strategic market points within the country. Why? Vibes.

So we went over everything. Sike, of course not. Let's rewind a bit. Somewhere at the age of 15 Theo's close bud shifted into a wanderer after practicing a difficult spell before disappearing. One day a few years later, Theo was attacked by a powerful beast. The wanderer inexplicably protected him, but was ripped to shreds in the process. Theo sensed it was his close friend, and reached out just before its corrupted nature infected him. Though somehow Theo wasn’t swallowed up in the darkness. Instead, the wanderer was severely weakened and used its host to heal.

What followed next was a flurry of episodes. Just painful possession, inner battles, tough love, irritation, explosions, broken structures, deadly situations, and other basic things you know. With enough time and training, Theo was eventually able to get his corruption under control . . for the most part.

(Primary) Darkness:

Corrupt Energy Manipulation: The ability to manipulate the flow of the hosted darkness present within his physical body. Theodore can gain physically enhanced capabilities, and use them in cases of extreme combat. Some examples include physically manifesting his inner dark wanderer's strength, and unleashing it to the fullest extent through sheer force of will. Manipulation over his inner corruption creates heightened strength, speed, and durability, enabling the use of hyper-awareness, occasional bulletproof durability, and limited cutting immunity. He is partially immune to conventional gunfire and blade damage only if corruption energy is intentionally manipulated for deflection in area of contact. Theo can focus his corruption into parts of his body for enhanced attacks.

Corrupt Constructs: Theo can transform the corruption hosted within into objects of varying permanence. These non-living constructs can range from items such as tools and weapons, and even structures. Generally, constructs tend to consist of energy and are made tangible by the user, often through sustained conscious effort. He is able to manifest the necessary dark inner nether needed to shape his constructs.

Meanwhile, fully material constructs can vary in terms of detail, and overall functionality. Furthermore, certain non-solid sources tend to be too inherently unstable, hazardous or otherwise insufficient and unsuitable to be shaped into or made to perfectly resemble any kind of technological object imaginable. Besides such elements being unable to realistically mimic the quality, stability and other aspects of certain substances, they may also prove incapable of being properly or even safely interacted with like solid matter by those except the user usually, which can further limit their versatility.

In most circumstances, Theo can possess a varying degree of control over his constructs, allowing him to move, transform, repair or otherwise manipulate his constructs through conscious effort and will alone. Moreover, not all constructs are necessarily solid, even those made of tangible matter, allowing certain constructs to imitate liquids.

Drawbacks: Theo is a host of a parasitical piece of a wanderer. He hears the wanderers words when no one else can, occasionally feeling the corruption move his body by its own accord. Theo's inner nether parasite sometimes even controls its power flow with a mind of its own. The main issue is if/when the wanderer's corruption takes over full control of him for temporary time frames.
A few other drawbacks are the cooldown, range, and stamina limits that gradually get stronger as he levels up.
He is unable to utilize air bending stuff, while using corruption as it reflects an inner battle of good versus bad. Relying on the corruption energy pulls him away from his natural self and vice versa.
Light magic specifically will be effective against constructs, making them harder to manipulate.

Morrigan is at their core a treasure hunter, and the nature that comes with that. He loves adventure and thrills, and isn't afraid of the obvious dangers that come with it. it also comes with the love of things that glitter, thanks in no small part of their restriction. He would reach his hand in a dragon's jaw if it meant a chance at swiping a pearl. Usually danger means he's going the right way, and he can't deny the feeling of coming out on top. And if he has to climb over a wall not meant to be climbed, or attach a rope and swing where someone else would try to just jump? Points for creativity.

He has a good eye for something's worth, though occaisonally turns their eye to people in the same way. He doesn't mean anything by it other than the facts; if you've got a limp, you can't follow him up the wall. If you're too good of a person, he can push you in front of him when someone is angry. If you know fire magic, he can make you angry before trying to roast a marshmallow. He won't even lie to you; if you wan to know what he thinks about you can be used, he'll tell you. In fact, he can't recall a time he's lied at all really. He says exactly what he feels about anything when asked, and isn't one for a filter. Most people however, seem to believe him the opposite. Maybe the constant smirk, or the way they like getting under your skin with a taunt or two, but most see him as an overconfident liar.

For those picked handful however, he can play nice. He can compliment and be happy someone is coming along all the same, and he does love a good back and forth. suprisingly an agreeable person when they're not doing literally everything else they do.

BACKSTORY
The Antinori Family is one of infamous treasure hunters, a family of people who covet and accrue wealth simply to have. In Accel they have been compared to dragons in the way they sit upon piles of rarities and show fury to those who try to take what is theirs. Their estate back home is a veritable museum from the frequent trips his parents would take, and they regularly cycle the things on display from their favorite expiditions. Morrigan was born into this household and was brought about in such environments. When the other children had something he wanted, he got it with any means he could. When his parents brought back a fanciful amulet he would apprase it for hours.

Having treasure hunters for parents meanst that it was only natural that Morrigan went with them the moment he could do even as little as sit in the wagon. As time went on he could eventually hold the gear, then later watch the exits, and then finally be the one taking the rope into the dark depths himself at sixteen. It was exhilirating, heart pounding how much danger one had to go through for even a fanciful coin. But when every threat was slain, seeing his reflection in the shine of a jewel made it all worth it. Hells, there were even times where he would fall asleep laying atop everything they brought back for the comfort it somehow brought him. But it was never truly his. It belonged to the family, and he wanted domething that would be truly his own. that feeling ate awy at him but was manageable for the most part, until he heard of the ruins. Grand structures of the past holding the equivalent of ambrosia for a man like him. Only, thre was no way he would be able to hunt one down and search it alone, and he didn't want yet another haul going to his family. The feeling mounted until one day he just decided on the obvious. He would leave!

He went arround delving here and there, and after having a rather bothersome stint where he was "arrested" in Vrae Syx for trying to "adventure" without a "license", he settled on Ladora. It made sense really; it wasn't as advanced as Accel, but they were famous for their magic here. And where there is magic, there is magic items. With magic items and a little bit of help, he could reach his goal of cleaning a Ruin out of all it's secrets. Plus they all hated Vrae Syx, and Morrigan was still bitter about his time behind bars; especially after he tried to bribe the judge with treasure in the courtroom.

Enhanced Attribute(s): This refinement is almost solely focused around strength, with some relatively minor gains centered around speed.

Burden: Mine! Mine!- Practitioners of this refinement are almost obsessively drawn to objects of value, whether practical or monetary. Although this urge can be suppressed, it remains a constant distraction that only worsens the longer it goes unfulfilled. The only way to, well, fulfill it, is to either gain hold of the object, or spend some time engrossed in admiring the object, at the exclusion of all else…

Dungeoneering Expertise: Practitioners of this refinement may use this ability with a moment’s concentration. For a brief duration, their senses are greatly enhanced, but only in terms of detecting or disarming traps and other automated defenses. Conversely, if such a contraption has already been activated, this ability may be used reflexively to considerably mitigate the effects.

Rationing: Bending the normal rules that govern mana, the practitioner may expend his own breath to increase the power and efficiency of magical items they possess, as well as beneficial magic applied to them.

Greedy Pull: By focusing their energy on their hands, the practitioners are able to achieve a grip strength and endurance of incredible magnitude, allowing them to hold onto their desired valuables no matter the opposition, or, conversely, traverse even vertical terrain by making handholds into it. This ability can instead be focused onto the practitioner’s weapons, allowing them to deal devastating damage to objects.

Deceitful Disengage: The practitioner rapidly moves several feet in a chosen direction while becoming invisible to all senses except touch for a few seconds.

Hit and Run: By activating this ability, the practitioner considerably enhances his speed and agility, but only when moving away from an opponent. Successfully landing blows on an opponent extends the duration of this ability, up to a limit.

- Their dracontine need for wealth is almost obsessive, and if the value is high enough, their refinement can only see loot where another would see a clear trap.
- Their compulsion makes them want to save weapons instead of use them, stow armor instead of don them, covet things rather than use them. It is a tricky thing to convince oneself that they need to use their things.
- The nature of their work and combat style doesn't allow much in the way of traditional defense, and a blow dealt is a blow dealt severely when they cant bulk up with plate armor and whatnot.
- By nature Morrigan is one of confidence and cheekiness. Only the gods know how many times he's come into far too much danger by being overconfident or spending his time taunting rather than thinking.

Lilac is fundamentally kind. She wants to Serve, and loves her work, but even more than that she wants to take care of people and protect them. She basically always wants to help people. The only exception is if you are hurting somebody she cares about, in which case she can be a little more dangerous. Other than that she is a fairly peaceful person. She also believes that everyone can be good and work together, despite growing up in Nybithia. [/CENTER]
BACKSTORY
Lilac grew up in Nybythia, the latest child of an old family of servant’s and servant trainers. Long ago they had served nobles and adventurers all across the land, but after a series of betrayals they retreated to Nybythia and have since held a strong distrust of humans especially, and anyone outside the family generally. Mainline family members rarely serve now, although they do still train people to serve in Nybythia.

Lilac however is a naive young dreamer, so removed from the betrayals of history that she simply believes in the purer legacy. That everyone was worthy of help, that they might serve anyone worth their dedication. That they could change the world this way, and by helping those who aimed to. They tried to convince her otherwise, but they had been too successful in building a new safe life, and were not willing to push further.

Unfortunately in their attempts to keep her safe they made the oldest mistake in the protective book, and simply told her she couldn’t leave without telling her why. When she hit adulthood and had seemed to calm they relaxed, assuming she had settled into her role. They let their guards down, not realizing she was simply being patient. A year later, having gathered some light supplies, she vanished, disguising herself as a human as soon as she left Nybithia.

She has now been thrown into an unfamiliar world which she has only heard of through stories, looking for a purpose. After being turned away a few times and realizing finding a worthy one to serve wouldn’t be so easy(open to players taking this role before rp start but very picky). So instead she has decided to take up adventuring, seeking to grow stronger and help people while keeping an eye out.

The Refinement of Service:
An old family refinement, something they use to serve and protect their chosen. It is quietly kept to themselves and a very trusted few, with it’s uses often being excused with one half-truth or another. They are the servants standing behind the great, their refinement’s achievements absorbed into their chosen’s.

Practitioner Nickname: None, as it is not widely known, and might even be considered unimpressive. Even among the family they simply call it service and each-other Maids and Butlers.

Attribute Enhancement: Perhaps uniquely, this refinement only partly enhances the user. The user has increased attentiveness, social and physical, and quite significantly improved speed, but for the most part it’s benefits are passed to the Chosen.

Burden: Above all they serve. Unbound this burden is less impactful just as it’s benefits are. They must protect, they must give care. More specifically they cannot strike first, and must fight defensively. They must also protect others above themselves. Similarly they must treat others before they treat themselves. The only exception is if the user is massively more wounded than the other. However when bound they are also bound by the terms. They cannot attack their chosen, they must generally follow their will and protect them above all. There are exceptions laid out in each contract that can render it null, but without that it is unbreakable.

Writ of Service(engaged/disengaged, passive): This is how they select their chosen. Without a chosen, selected it works as a simple low-level empathic reading. Given a sense of someone’s body or their voice they can read much of their intent and emotions. Using this a contract can be made and signed, binding two. When bound their chosen benefits from mildly enhanced general attributes and the Maid can always sense their location and state with precision.

Absolute Defense(Passive/Active): This technique requires the refinement, specialized training and serpentine senses. Passively it simply enhances the user’s sense of their surroundings and threats in it specifically. It activates in sharp bursts, canceling strikes. It cannot attack, but it is a peerless defense, targeting balance points and canceling blows or knocking projectiles out of the air. It has to be activated specifically except in regards to attacks on their chosen, in which case it is enhanced to allow for even faster reaction and always on. This isn’t invincible though, as the momentum, forces, and projectiles, are not necessarily removed, and there is a limit to how much it can do. It also doesn’t work as well for personal defense.

Servant’s Presence(Passive): This isn’t any kind of true invisibility, but instead plays on people’s tendency to skip over the background players and the unobtrusive, and is made more effective. Unless someone is looking for her or has a specific ability related to this they will often simply not notice her. After all she is but a simple maid. Additionally intent can reverse the effect giving them an air of authority, and of belonging there, both working by simple enhancing what is already there. When bound this also supernaturally bolsters their mental resistance, especially when directing them against their chosen.

Keeping Tidy(Active): This allows the user to with a touch launder and clean objects and people, leaving behind a scent unique to the user, in her case lavender. However this can also work more metaphysically. It allows her to cleanse almost all mundane harmful substances, and many milder diseases. It also allows her to try to remove magical effects, and more severe diseases, but that can take time and be much more difficult and potentially dangerous, without a guarantee of success. This is easier and more effective when use on their chosen

Servant’s Hands, Bodyworker(Active): The users hands are utterly precise, still, and dextrous, not a hair’s breadth of unintended movement. They use this to manipulate the body’s of others for improvement or restorative purposes, via a combination of massage, pressure points, and simply preternatural effects. Currently Lilac is only experienced enough to work with the physicality of the body. She can use this to manipulate the bodies of others, enhancing what is already there, applying limited external effects, and reshaping the body for healing and other purposes. In short-term use she can mainly only dull or enhance emotions and sensations, or unlock/allow higher physical potential. Hours of time is required for anything long-term or any significant exchanges.

Sorin is well known for his abrasiveness, anger, and vulgarness. He has a notable short fuse and will explode at the slightest misstep. In one moment, he could be kind and courteous, whilst in the next breath he becomes crass and vulgar with his speaking style. As a result of his Eldritch connection with Frittata, Sorin has also found himself compelled to invest in and discover ancient artifacts.

He is a practiced fighter and adventurer and has practiced ease while fighting, even in the face of insurmountable odds. This fighting prowess has allowed Sorin to be brutally honest, even towards those whom he should show some respect.

Now as a servant of Ladora, Sorin works with dedication to serve the Queen. Despite initially being enemies, he holds no grudges with being essentially domesticated. Many of his jobs were simply for the money, including the assassination of Frittata, even despite the anger he shows towards her. In the streets of Ladora, Sorin doesn't give a shit about the looks people give him due to his race, in fact, he will sneer and playfully taunt them.

Sorin was born in the criminal underworld of Vrae Syx. Although not the best of places to live, it allowed Sorin to survive his juvenile years. The gang that housed Sorin and his mother accepted them as one, as when you have a group of murderers, thieves, and revolutionaries, someone being a daemon didn't mean that they were necessarily any worse than the other criminals all grouped together. They were a rough and tumble mishmash of people just trying to get by after all.

The gang tried its best to educate Sorin. The revolutionaries would educate Sorin about history and teach him to write while the thieves and murderers did their best to transfer their less criminal skills over to Sorin, although they also taught Sorin magic . And in the process of it all, Sorin gained an appreciation for past technology that the people of Vrae Syx valued.

When he was old enough to go out in the world by himself, Sorin involved himself in the Adventurer's Guild, carefully guarding his race by covering his face with cloth and donning heavy wizardry robes (think Final Fantasy Dark Mage). While taking commissions, Sorin primarily found his work through collecting items from ruins of the society of the past and exploring ruins. Throughout the years, Sorin rose up in the ranks of the Adventurer's Guild until reaching Platinum rank.

Sorin's action that catapulted him up to such a rank was singlehandedly holding off a siege on Nybithia by his lonesome for a day with his magic before reinforcements could arrive.

At one point, Sorin took an extended break from the Adventurer's Guild, almost making people think that he had died. But in fact, Sorin took the time to develop his Refinement, which required that he sacrifice his magic in order to do, as he was overcome with an interest of olden technology. Decades later, Sorin's first job in the Adventurer's Guild was an expensive contract to assassinate the Ladora Queen due to the illegitimate method she rose to power.

This was a complete and utter disaster though. His refinements were not powerful enough to overpower Kaiserin, or "Frittata" as he nicknamed her, and Sorin was forced to abandon his fight when Frittata was able to lob off Sorin's arm. Thankfully, Frittata spared Sorin, and from then on, Sorin worked as one of Frittata's minions, with his fake left arm as proof of it.

It wasn't a bad arrangement though. Sorin finally didn't feel the need to hide his identity as a Daemon, and he had opportunities to improve his refinement.
Refinement of Cybernetics
Sorin gave up his magical prowess for the opportunity to gain a snippet of understanding of the technologies of the past, developing his own personal refinement throughout the years. This Refinement gives him the ability to determine the function of artifacts with ample time, although he isn't able to use them. When he knows what the artifact can do, if the artifact is still whole, he also can develop an ability that allows him to harness that specific technology's ability, although he still remains unable to explain how it works or recreate it.

Burden - Posh as Fine Wine: If Sorin chooses to harness the power of technology, he is unable to use any 'inferior' alternatives to them. For example, he is unable to wield crossbows due to his understanding of his magitech shotgun.

Abilities:
- Emperor of Hearts: Sorin has an intrinsic understanding of a small cylinder shaped mechanism. When crafted into a shotgun, it creates a mana shotgun, notable for recycling up to 50% of a user's mana per shot. It also delivers more of an oomph than traditional magitech guns. As a burden, Sorin cannot wield crossbows, bows, traditional guns, and harpoon launchers, even when they're more suitable for the task at hand.
  - Mark II: Activating this ability causes Sorin to temporarily transform the shotgun mechanism into a short-ranged gatling gun. There is no additional associated burden associated with this ability.
- Clean Slate: Sorin has an intrinsic understanding of a coin-shaped patch that is embedded into his stomach. When Sorin concentrates, the patch will deliver nano-bots that help patch up his body. After a minute of concentration, Sorin will be completely healed of typical wounds. More grevious wounds, like limb loss or chronic diseases, cannot be healed this way. As a burden, Sorin rejects medicine and cannot be affected by healing magic, even if the magic is capable of healing him faster or to a better degree than Clean Slate.
- Noble's Guard: Sorin has access to a super thin, invisible garment that covers his upper body providing him a level of protection comparable to a suit of armor. Sorin predicts that this was made primarily nobles who feared assassination. Unfortunately, Sorin cannot wear shirts because of this.

Marksmanship: Sorin is good at shooting things.
Magical Knowledge: Although Sorin cannot utilize any of it, Sorin knows a plethora of magical knowledge

Sorin's burden causes him to not be able to do more rudimentary tasks in life. Harpooning fish and hunting with a crossbow is not possible for Sorin, making him useless out in the wilderness alone.

Frittata: Sorin was the man who was responsible for giving Frittata her nickname after taunting her with it when attempting to assassinate her. After having his life spared, Sorin sees Frittata in a positive light, working for her dedicatedly.
Emma: It is obvious to Sorin that Emma sees him as an unruly Pomeranian, and Sorin often gets into squabbles with Emma. But at the end of the day, they are on the same side, and Emma does bring him some nice bits of technology when she can.

PERSONALITY
Inquisitor Dysmas is a man who hides many insecurities behind a pompous and sanctimonious mask. He has a constant need to prove his superiority, and what better way to do that than bark orders? In many ways, he is no better than a common serial killer. He must be correct and will kill to maintain that. Retaliation is the name of his game, as he repays insults and strikes against him with cruelty. Trouble is, he perceives A LOT of remarks against him as an insult worthy of such actions. His frail little ego has only become more so now that he holds such a position of power as Grand Inquisitor.

Outwardly, Elior puts on a commanding but elegant facade. His armor is spotless and well-polished, and he usually speaks in more refined terms. Expect him to use an impressive vocabulary, if only to seem intellectually superior. Unless there are matters that require his attention, he can usually be found in his office, the Grand Cathedral's library or archives, or in the chapel. He is seldom out and about, as the unwashed masses deeply disgust him. He is a firm advocate of a social hierarchy, and a bottom feeder should be flogged for approaching one at the top of the food chain.

Elior takes great comfort in his faith and his secret allegiance to the Omen—a terrible mistake on the latter, but he is none the wiser. He doesn't realize he is fully replaceable with some other psychopath. He believes the Church of Eleven's current Hierarchy is vulnerable, prone to error and in desperate need of guidance by a more fit party. Perhaps shattering his perfect little reality and making him fall from grace could humble him enough to see reason—a theory that has gone untested, for obvious reasons.

Magic/Refinements:
- Elemental - Fire: Magically, Elior keeps it simple. Fire is the perfect destructive magic, capable of directly or indirectly being the scourge of enemies throughout the nation. It is not totally painless for him, as he has sustained burns on his hands from using this magic. Overuse would incinerate his fingers, leaving stumps.
  - Cleansing - A simple but horrifically effective spell. A constant stream of flame is produced from the hands, spraying anyone unfortunate enough to be in front of him (think of a flamethrower). He can't press forward while using this, or else he will run into his own fire.
  - Branding - He can rapidly heat metal merely by holding his hand inches away from an object. Not suitable for an armored target who isn't immobile, as they can simply back up and be safe. Excellent for preparing branding irons without an open flame, hence the name.
Natural Abilities:
- Investigation - The inquisitor is a naturally keen mind, capable of finding discrepancies, hidden items, and obscure facts to bolster his arguments.
- Intimidation - His natural flair for the dramatic helps him craft an intimidating persona to keep allies in line and enemies feeling terror to the bitter end.
- Religious Law - He has been taught the strict laws of Vrae Syx from an early age. He can recite them nigh-flawlessly from memory.

- Barbed flagellum - A nasty, barbaric whip intended to inflict several tiny, painful cuts in just one lash.
- Inquisition Banner - A banner displaying the frightful symbol of the inquisition. A reminder that one is not to interfere, lest they be branded a heretic and punished alongside the offender whose transgressions warranted the raising of this banner. This banner is also enchanted to give off an aura of light when placed.

According to Lorelei, she's the center of the universe. Everyone and everything absolutely should be revolving around her. Her daddy raised a spoiled rotten girl, whose grown up into a temperamental and materialistic young woman. That being said, Lorelei isn't all bad. In fact, she is fiercely loyal to those she loves. With no mother to speak of, its just been Lorelei and her father for most of her life. She would do anything for her dad, even if it means risking her life.

Lorelei is loud and wanton. She know's what, and who, she wants and she will do what she needs to in order to obtain it. Usually, that means throwing money at it. Citizens of Arcor Grier who aren't aware of her father's criminal status view her as a selfish floozy who insert's herself into higher social circles uninvited, but people who are more familiar with the shady dealings of the city know Lorelei is not to be trifled with. If Lorelei wants to attend your social function, she is going to attend. Or else you might find yourself bleeding out on the city streets by night fall.

Hans Unehrlich was born and raised in the grime of Arcor Grier. A street scamp who rose to the top of the criminal food chain through blood and hard work. He founded the Gilded Ravens. A crime syndicate with close tie's to the Black Hat's that run the city. By the time Han's was in his early 30's, the Ravens were wealthier than Han's had ever fathomed. After all, how many street rats who dream of reaching the top can actually say they got there?

Han's had a steady rotation of women whom he spent his free time with. Employee's in his syndicate often referred to the women has his harem. They weren't too far off. After all, how many women can resist a man with good looks and money? Of the ladies Han's wooed, he had one particular favorite. Rebecca. Rebecca was stunning, and had the personality and humor to match. It wasn't long before Rebecca became pregnant, and gave birth to Han's first and only daughter. Lorelei.

And although Hans favored Rebecca's company, he could never say he loved her. But looking upon his infant daughter, Hans felt love for the first time in his life. Lorelei was his perfect angel, and he was going to give her the childhood he never had. Rebecca was tossed to the side, and Lorelei became the center of Hans universe.

Lorelei grew up loved and spoiled. She never knew what it meant to struggle, or to survive. As she grew older, she began to help out with the Gilded Raven's on occasion. Usually by gathering intelligence at social functions held among the elite of Arcor Grier. After all, who suspects a young girl of being a spy? Not the wealthy apparently. Helping out with Daddy's business meant she needed training in self defense, in case something were to happen. Although she didn't enjoy working up a sweat, Lorelei learned to defend herself and how to fight. She favored the axe as a weapon, despite her father's wishes. After all, how on earth is a spy to hide an axe on their body? Now a young woman, Lorelei is a well known figure among the socialites of Arcor Grier. She spends her time partying, and very rarely getting her hands dirty.

Until recently that is.

Lorelei fell in love. Usually, Lorelei enjoyed the dalliances of young men swimming in cash, and then selling their secrets to Daddy to help his business run better. But this time, she fell hard for the young weapon smith the Raven's worked with on occasion. Tall, dark, and handsome. With a faint air of danger to him. Lorelei spent months trying to court the man, only for him to reject her advances. "Why would I want to be with a girl whose only purpose in life is to please her father? You're a spoiled bitch who can't do anything for herself. If it weren't for your beloved daddy, this world would have chewed you up and spit you out a long time ago."

His words infuriated Lorelei. But, rather than running to her father to make the man pay for what he said. Lorelei decided she was going to prove him wrong. She's now setting out on her own with her axe by her side, and her fathers money in her pocket. Maybe, if she carves out a name for herself, and proves that she can survive by the skin of her own teeth, the weapon smith will he was wrong, and love her in return.

-Lorelei know's how to fight. She's taken fighting lesson's from her father's men since she was a young teenager, and her skills have only gotten better with practice. She would rather avoid fighting if possible though.

-Lorelei is naturally charismatic. Although loud and a bit insensitive at times, people listen when she talks. But will she be able to sway others when her father's influence is taken out of the equation?

-Lastly, Lorelei is observant. Having spent most of her life nosing around in the social elite's lives to help the Ravens, Lorelei can read subtle body language to tell if someone is lying, or read her surrounding's to uncover possible hidden secrets to exploit later.

Weaknesses
-Lorelei is emotionally volatile. Perhaps, if her father had actually taken the time to properly parent her, she would know how to handle negative emotions better. As a result, when Lorelei is angry or distressed, she acts out. Sometimes violently. Once, the son of a baron lost a finger when he wouldn't pass the gravy boat at a charity dinner.

-Although she won't admit it, the weapon smith she fell for was right. Lorelei doesn't know a thing about how the world outside the bubble of Arcor Grier works. Sure, you can hear the stories and read about it in books, but it is nothing compared to experiencing it.

-As previously established, Lorelei is selfish. Her upbringing guaranteed that. When put in dangerous situations, Lorelei put's herself first, and others at the back at the priority list.

If there is one thing about humans, it's that they are adaptable. Lorelei is no exception.

- Darcia is needlessly stubborn at times without explanation.
- Generally friendly, and even tries to have a sense of humor sometimes. Maybe a little rude at occasionally. Tends to mind her own business more than not, though.

BACKSTORY

Darcia was born into a military family in Accel. Her father, Yves Grey, was a prestigious Arkan general and prodigious enhancement wizard, and hier mother was a servant in an Accelan military barrack. Yves retired from her responsibilities as a general shortly after Darcia was born and decided to take on a role that would allow him more freedom, so he became an instructor for the Arkan Empire’s army. Yves would travel around the empire, moving between different camps on assignments, and Darcia would accompany him. Not being home much, Darcia never got to develop a relationship with her mother, and despite having an experienced military veteran for a father, Darcia didn’t immediately take to fighting.

Darcia didn’t take to most things expected of her. She wasn’t interested in practicing with a sword; she lacked the charisma and physique of her father, and even when Darcia was accompanying her father on assignment, she wouldn’t watch the soldiers train much. Darcia was a lot more interested in reading and even more interested in not being around people at all. Her quiet demeanor and anti-social behavior made her gain an unsavory reputation among those unfamiliar with her and even a few who were. Darcia’s reputation made it even easier for her to keep to herself.

While in Bodland, Darcia attracted the attention of a battlemage with similar tastes and reputation. Darcia never learned his name, but the battlemage gifted her many books from his library that, at the time, were above Darcia’s level of understanding. Still, these books would go on to form the foundation of her ambition and her power. Darcia’s favorite book was a coverless book with no title – it looked more like a collection of notes that described the ability to “store souls” if practiced carefully. From then on, Darcia’s reputation shifted from unsavory to outright repulsive.

Darcia would often collect rats, snakes, insects, or any other small creatures she could find inside the military encampments and kill them discreetly to practice seeing departed souls. Darcia masked these endeavors by feigning an interest in hunting, to her father’s delight. Yves attempted to teach Darcia to shoot a bow. Many of the bows soldiers’ used to practice were too heavy and hard to draw for young Darcia, so Yves ordered a lighter short bow to be made just for Darcia. Even more convenient for Darcia that he was a good shot, he quickly progressed to moving souls around.

In her adolescence, rumors about the retired general’s daughter and her activity began to spread, and eventually, Yves confronted Darcia. He didn’t condone the magic he practiced or the secrecy involved, but he did support her daughter’s interest in magic. Darcia quickly found out he was lacking in potential when it came to enhancement magic. However, Darcia modified a healing spell her father taught her, allowing her to grow plants rapidly. From here, Yves created the theory that Darcia wouldn’t benefit much from being taught how to fight directly. Instead, he taught how to direct a small unit of fighters and allowed him to use his soldiers to practice in matches where Yves would command fourteen recruits and pit them against Darcia’s.

Darcia became a solid tactician. In contrast, Darcia couldn’t fight much better with a sword than a farmer. Darcia didn’t want to be a general like her father, though. Darcia realized her true dream when Yves took Darcia on a trip to an old battlefield to talk of its history, and there Darcia met the soul of a single Goloth, whose skeletal remains rested atop a hill of bones. The Goloth could not remember his name and had a bit of a dysfunctional personality – he would begin a sentence with a collected temperament and end it in a violent rage. Darcia got along with someone for once and gave the warrior a name. Yves, further sponsoring his daughter, allowed Darcia to imbue the soul into a set of armor no one would miss. Darcia would unofficially make the warrior her knight and allow him to accompany her as a bodyguard.

Darcia, as an adult, became more fervent in her taboos, exploring the world to see how far he could push her talent. Darcia enjoyed the cushion of her father’s money as a rookie adventurer. Unfortunately, as time went on, the support she received from her father dwindled. In Yves’ later life, he turned to worship Null, and as a worshipper, he could not support magic that disallowed Null to perform his purpose. Darcia would not abandon her path but accepted a final lump sum of gold from her father as a sign of goodwill.
ABILITIES

Primary (Taboo): Ghost Collector

Darcia can see and hear the souls of the undeparted. She can collect these souls and put them into any uninhabited object. Once caught, Darcia can freely transfer souls between objects, and these souls can act through whatever object they're in. Darcia can only work with up to three souls at once, and may only force one to obey at a time.
- Jeanne, is a human wizard's soul who specialized in curses. Can use a curse that bewitches an object or person to swap places with another bewitched object or person. Jeanne triggers the effect manually, but can only do so twice consecutively before needing to rest briefly. Limited range.
- "Beau," the soul of a former slave that inhabits her bookbag and makes retrieving items easier.
- Jacque, the soul of a possibly delusional Goloth warrior, self-proclaimed to have great potential. A warrior that practices the refinement of battle. Uses Decapitating Blow to great effect. Possesses a set of worn-out armor and wields a longsword.
When Darcia first catches a soul, the first object they're crammed into is what's basically their home base. This is where the soul will return after possessing other objects. If these home bases are destroyed, then the soul will be freed and Darcia would have to recapture the soul.

Darcia can hear the souls speak. Others cannot.

A soul needs to be compatible with whatever object it's possessing to achieve the best effects. This can be accomplished in two ways: the object resembles the body the soul had in life, or a soul can practice possessing a particular vessel, though not every soul is capable of doing this.

Since they're dead, souls have unlimited physical stamina. If they're capable of magic, then casting will tire them out and force them to return to their home base.

Secondary (Elemental): Overgrowth Mutation

Darcia is capable of causing plants to overgrow, and often far more significant than normal and with exaggerated properties.

Natural Abilities

Good Shot (In Theory): Darcia hasn't had much marksman experience in actual combat. However, if Darcia's shooting for sport, she can land shots reliably. She's got a bit of talent.

Engineer: Not always a party trick, but she's pretty good at putting things together, fixing them, breaking them down, etc.

"Chef": Not the best at cooking conventional food...excellent at brewing potions.

High Magic Potential: Darcia has high magic potential for a human just like her father, except her potential is more geared toward taboo magic than enhancement.

Weaknesses

Bookworm: Darcia can't fight up close very well. She didn't want to learn how while pursuing other things.

Racial Abilities

Only Human: Darcia's just human. Aside from her magic potential and mind, she doesn't naturally have much else.

Equipment

Beau the Backpack: A quality bag almost as large as Darcia. It has lots of space and is possessed by Beau, who organizes the bag and hands Darcia what she's looking for when she asks. Contains:

Journals: A collection of journals with all of Darcia's recordings. Some have yet to be written in still.
Camping Supplies: A bedroll, tent, and cooking spit.
Common Alchemical Ingredients: Purified water, powdered iron, salt, sugar...probably enough to throw together a basic potion. Or a bomb.
Money: Just a bit of money from Darcia's father. Starting to run out.
Books: Compendiums and various studies on a multitude of different topics. Contributes to most of the bag's weight.
Clothes

Bag of Holding: A bag kept on Darcia's belt. Contains more delicate cargo.

Ironleaf Seeds: Seeds from an Ironleaf flower, known for having leaves naturally as hard as iron. Leaves become more significant and more durable when Darcia uses her magic on them.
Snareroot Seeds: Seeds from a Snareroot vine. Snareroot is a flowery vine that releases pollen that alerts the plant to something approaching so that it may defend itself with thorny appendages. The vines become much larger and more aggressive when paired with Darcia's magic.
Burstbulb Seeds: Seeds from a Burstbulb, a plant that collects water and spits it out at high speeds. The plant becomes powerful enough to blast holes into steel when paired with Darcia's magic.
Vilebloom Seed: One seed from a Vilebloom, a carnivorous flower large enough to eat a man. The plant grows legs and becomes larger when paired with Darcia's magic.
Alchemy Kit: Five flasks, an alcohol lamp, a glass stirring rod, and a mortar and pestle.
Soul Bags: Five bags containing the souls of dead animals.
Firedust Vials: Firedust is an easily flammable powder. Each particle of dust burns for a while, so if Darcia's quick enough on the draw, she could ignite an entire cloud of firedust to give the visage that the air is on fire.
Black Powder Bombs: The version of firedust that blows up when ignited.
Various Sharp Objects: A collection of different-sized throwing knives, arrowheads, scrap metal, glass shards, and other things that could cut through soft targets.
Utility Belt: Because Darcia needed more pockets.
Military Short Bow: A gift from Darcia's father when she was young. Well taken care of. Custom.

Jeanne and Jacque's Silver Rings: A pair of silver rings that are Jeanne and Jacque's home base.

Jacque: The soul of a Goloth warrior with a set of armor fit for a human. It's a little beat up, but plenty sturdy. Not that there's anything inside of it to protect. Jacque carries a longsword.
Jeanne: The soul of a human wizard who possesses a black cloak. He has no weapons but is capable of fast flight and is strong enough to subdue the average person. Jeanne can also cast a curse that switches the locations of two objects.
Dagger: Just in case. Well-balanced for throwing as well.

Caspian has always believed in mind over matter, though by no means does he rely on logic and reason to get through problems. He has a zealous faith in his church, a faith that has given birth to a mighty willpower that has gotten him through more than one struggle. He believes that following God's will should be everyone's primary goal, but understands not all are as enlightened as he is. While he doesn't believe humans are necessarily gods, he does secretly believe they are Eleven's Chosen over all other races. He is kind and caring, but shows no mercy to those who defy the will of his God(s).
BACKSTORY
Abandoned at the steps of the church in the grand capitol of Vrae Syx, Caspian grew up unwanted and unloved. Around his neck was a silver pendant with the word "Talonguard" engraved on it, which became his surname when he became old enough to take one. His early life was filled with the calls of religion, spending the days worshiping and training to join The Order. He remembered nothing of his previous family, and with nothing tethering him away from the church he pursued his duties with a zeal that matched the high priests and inquisitors. At 16 he joined The Order, learning to master the blade as well as command troops on the battlefield. He excelled in his assignments, commanding troops to victory and acting as a peacekeeper for local conflicts. He spent time as a border guard, a body guard to the High Priests, and was even given an army of his own but was disbanded as tensions decreased with their neighboring kingdom. Though filled with action and excitement, Caspain was simply following orders and serving his church the best he could. All was well until his 19th birthday, where the Burning of Isra-Dor and the slaughter that ensued after was burned into his young mind.
The task was simple- find the heretics in the duchy of Isra-Dor and bring them to the capitol for questioning. Use force if necessary. Act in the Eleven's Will. The task was simple. So why did the sky blacken with smoke? Why did the sound of screams crack the air while an ever-growing blaze consumed the entire town? Caspain watched as his commanding officer decided that he was tired of interrogating peasants and wanted a solution. With Caspian's help, they had set fire to dozens of square miles of countryside; killing men, women and children. Citizens of the Kingdom. They had broken into the Duke's estate, abducted him and his family, then killed them for heresy before they reached the Capitol. Their cries and screams continue to haunt Caspian's dreams-especially the ones of the duke's daughter crying over her still parents in the firelight. Please sir...they're nott waking up...is she gonna get better? I'll say the prayers, just make them come back!
After the slaughter at Isra-Dor, Caspian was granted time away from the front lines and was able to turn to the study of the magics of the Eleven. Though not nearly as skilled at magic as he was fighting, he was able to master a few simple spells that would enhance his fighting and allow him to do minor healing if necessary. After studying for a few years he was summoned by the church to remain on standby due to escalating tensions with their neighbor. Though Isra-Dor was still firmly engraved in his mind, Caspian could not defy the Church's wishes and knew he would rather raze a thousand towns before falling from his God's Gaze...

ABILITIES:

Magic/Refinements
He has weak healing abilities and can cure some diseases. He can also bless himself to increase his strength and endurance, but these spells cannot be used very often. He much prefers to solve conflict with his sword or hand-to-hand fighting abilities.

Minor Magic resistance
While he is by no means immune to magic, he is less effected by magic than most would be (A blast of fire would still really hurt, and possibly kill if he's already hurt, but he would take less damage).

Natural Abilities
Swordsmanship- He is a master swordsman, and very few can match his ability.
-He is proficient in several other weapons such as a mace, crossbow, lance, and hand to hand. By far his best weapon is his Hand-and-a-Half Blade.

Command- He has an aptitude for strategy, be it in a massive battle or in a tavern brawl (not that he'd ever sink that low)

Mounted- He is an excellent rider of horses, and has no trouble using them in combat

Minor-Blacksmithing- Strangely, members of The Order are taught the basics of smithing so that they may forge their own holy blade if needed. While Caspian knows a few holy runes to engrave on weapons, he is only a novice at this

Weaknesses
Aside from minor resistance, he has no defense against long range magic or attacks

Due to his zeal, he can have trouble pulling himself from a certain path (stubborn)

He is a poor woodsman, and while he can make his own fire he is not much of a hunter

Aside from firing a crossbow, he has no long range attacks. His magic serves no use in fighting long distances

He is not the most dexterous- while he isn't a lumbering oaf, his heavy armor prevents him from being too agile.

Racial Abilities
Nothing except what the Eleven give him. One might say being a human is gift enough.
