End All Life; Embrace Silence
In a world where magic permeates all things and those gifted with its touch rule above all others. This world is special, for magical creatures, beasts, humans,and other races coexist in relative harmony. Dozens of kingdoms and realms reside on this world, but the majority is untamed wilderness. For those brave enough, epic adventures await. But many incredible and unknown dangers also lurk in the shadows.
In this world is where our story will unfold. Eons ago, when the Gods first gifted the realm of Mortals with magic, they chose a specific human to be the very first. Granted magic stronger than any other, this human would lead the way into the future. Through the Age of Beginnings, this man, and his descendants would possess the most potent and dangerous magic in the world, however over the decades and centuries, as magical lineages were diluted, this specific bloodline only grew stronger and more potent. This would eventually create unrest and frustrations throughout not only the kingdom but the worldas a whole. Eventually, with the birth of, at the time, the most powerful magical individual in the world, fear began to fester.
A plot was born from this fear, and a true tragedy took place from this fear. The people of the kingdoms rose up against this family. A savagely brutal, but incredibly short war resulted, and the extermination of the Merlin Bloodline was the only result. With the extermination of the Merlins came a consequence no one would have foreseen, the emergence of the Dread. A powerful race that used life energy to power their magic and leaving only barren landscapes behind that would never again be able to sustain life.
A true and terrible war began then, and though the world united against the Dread, it was a losing battle. Slowly, empires and kingdoms fell, entire races were forced into the void and still the Dread continued forward. It became apparent that eventually the Dread would wipe out all life on their world, as they had on many others. Desperate, the remaining peoples sought out the most powerful seer the world had ever known. The last immortal among the mortal realms. It was from her they discovered a possible hope.
"When the planets align for the first time in 3000 years, the skies will dance with blazing lights.
On this day, holy in cosmic ways, magic will rest to welcome the arrival of 2 children.
One blessed by the First Blood, long thought lost.
One blessed by Destiny herself, one with blazing green eyes and a power never seen before.
When the world herself cries out, these two will do battle with the End.
Savage might will lead the fight, only to end in black or white."
With that insight and a revelation the the planetary convergence and dancing lights had already happened years ago, the remaining peoples searched for those mentioned in the prophecy. But no one was found matching the requirements. And so, a valiant but ultimately futile war still raged.
This is where our characters come in. My character will be the one Blessed by Destiny. Originally thought powerless, an event will awaken a latent power. And a hidden bastard child of the Merlins will discover their own power and destiny, having always believed to be anything less than subpar. A chance meeting will spark a series of events long foreseen, and together they will lead the world into the Light, or allow it to fall into Darkness forevermore.
