Colonies
The Human Alliance currently has six planets colonized.
Their first batch Operation Unthinkable: Terra Prime their capital, Avalon, and Arcadia
Their second batch incase anything happens: Pyke, Pacifica, and Romulus.
Cloaking
Created in 2 A.E. on Avalon. This technology bends the light around a person making them practically invisible to the naked eye. Plans have been made to adapt the tech to ships but it has been less than optimal at the moment.
Other factions
The Galactic Community
Born from the ashes of what was the dominating power in the known galaxy. The Galactic Community acts like they are peaceful wanting planets to join them. In reality planets don't get a choice in joining. If they decline they are cut off from the rest of the galaxy and eventually forcefully taken over. They are currently staying away from other big powers in the known galaxy. But only until they are ready for conquest.
The OEC
The Old Earth Colonies. With earth having been destroyed and the GC pretending to care and pushing their troops in to keep them silent. A group of resistance fighters called the OEC lead by a Commander John Shepard, and Marcus Blain.
Revolutionaries
A resistance group that brazingly declared war on the GC. Made up of all kinds of races. They are currently staying in the Outer territories doing hit and run tactics.
