I like that idea a lot, but that might turn a lot of people down, because most would expect the protagonist to have at least something going for them. I guess quick wits could be considered a special trait.

I was considering a power randomizing type of character, depending on how EXNet advances (of course, it's dependent on the outcome of this quest RP's first season).

I'm also yet to do a quest RP with a male protagonist so...?? Expect a dude soon?? Dunno.

Hey did you guys know? I just got a new job for the next 3-4 months.
Teaching a 14 year old how to swim for the first time in his life.
I know it should be great and all but his mom is hyperprotective.

Blake's Mom: "I know you've been a lifeguard for almost a year, but are you SURE he'll be fine in your hands?"
Yes. He will. He can stand, can't he? He's like 5'10.
Me: "Certainly! We're always supervised during lessons, and there is nothing to worry about as he'll be starting in the shallow end!~"
Blake's Mom: "Because I could always ask an adult."
The 'adults' asked me to teach him. I can teach beginners, I'm 16, and he's a beginner.
Me: "They referred you to me because I can teach beginners!~"
Blake's Mom: "And you go to school, right? Well, my son's in XXX high school. Maybe you two can meet outside to discuss swim theory?"
No thanks, I'd save him the embarrassment. How's he gonna introduce me anyway? 'Oh, this girl is my swim teacher.' And what the fuck is swim theory? You literally do it or you don't. It's not rocket science. It's intuitive. Also, my school rekt your son's high school in volleyball over and over.
Me: "Oh, I'm sorry, I don't go to XXX high school. I'm on the other side of the city.~"
Blake's Mom: "That's too bad. I think I'll call the center later to make sure that you're still ready for this on Monday."
You do that. I'm hungry. It's dinner time.
Me: "Alright, that sounds like a good idea! Can't wait to start lessons with Blake on Monday! Byee!~ ^-^"

She hangs up.

Minutes later...

Catchy Ringtone.
Me: "Hello?"
"Hi! It's Blake's mom again. I'd like to confirm what we've spoken about earlier."
GOD DAMMIT AAAAAAAHHHH

This was a part of a phone conversation with her. She called me. I mean, usually if you're an instructor, the parent is given your contact info.
So it wasn't anything out of the ordinary.
But usually it's used for any follow-up questions, or to let the instructor know about a delay or something.
But no.
This woman wanted to know if, in the course of a few hours of meeting her this afternoon to now, suddenly became unfit to teach her son how to swim. And she calls at around 8:00 PM my time.


Earlier today, I had to go to do the "Brick Test" just so the manager (my boss) knew I was still in shape and stuff cause I haven't gone there in a while.

There I met Blake and his mom.

Poor Blake. I mean, he's nice for the most part. Kinda talkative, but he's excited enough. He looked like he was about to make a run for it while his mom talked to my boss at the pool, asking her usual type of questions. If I wasn't there to chat with him, well, I wouldn't know what he'd do.

When they left and were out of earshot, the manager just laughed. I asked him whether that happens often, and he just stared at me with this blank stare, and said, "Yeah, when the kids are four years old."
Poor Blake!!! o(>.<)o

I couldn't help but laugh though. We just laughed for a solid minute before he said I should go home. I love the manager. He's the best.

Ever since I dropped you guys off into the abyss known as the hiatus, I've had some time to myself, namely to catch up on life and then, as of a few weeks ago, get back on RPN and get stuff done. I honestly don't know what to do anymore cause I've become one of the most irritable people ever (:

Only a year or two ago when I started getting into RPing, I became best friends with every single person I enjoyed RPing with with, and here I am not talking to any one of you ever since the hiatus. Stupid right?!

All Your Powers is back on its feet and the story's definitely going to get a lot more things. Probably not super long updates (on average, it takes about 3-5 minutes to read, and with busy schedules that's a bit of time.). I guess I haven't really explored the setting as well as I could have, but I'm just trying to avoid giving you guys an info dump. Maybe an info dump might be necessary one of these days, so I can put things out there. Or, I can find a way to get every last bit of important info in through the story itself.

Who knows? HAHA!

Also, I'm really curious about something. I put together a little thing below!


The world is in dire need of heroes. No, in need of vigilantes. The law doesn't want your help, but the world needs it. Deciding to become a vigilante, you call up a trusted friend, who offers you four different packages. Each package has its own special contents, but once you pick one, they'll be yours to keep forever! This friend has the best in mind for you, so, pick wisely!

Package 1
-Superhuman Ability Factor: A serum that grants you two REASONABLE superhuman abilities of your choice that isn't reality warping, omnipotence, or absolute. (No time manipulation, omni-anything, singularity, reality warping, absolute invulnerability, etc)
-A video explaining the ins and outs of your abilities, as well as its specific strengths and weaknesses.
-First-Aid Kits
-Plenty of supplements that can support your abilities' energy requirements.
-Police Scanner
-In case you get arrested, the trusted friend will also bail you out.
-Fire-retardant and friction-resistant skin-tight suit with the color of your choice, along with an optional cape!
(If you choose this package, write your two abilities of choice below, along with the color of your suit and cape!)

Package 2
-Rocket Launcher
-A contract that allows you to get up to 5 rockets a day. Any unused rockets will be carried over to the next day.
-2x .45 ACP
-A contract for ammunition that allows you to get a nearly unlimited supply of bullets, magazines, and replacements for this gun.
-A contract that allows you to get 2 grenades per day.
-Once a week, you're allowed to call in said trusted friend to pick you up in an Attack Helicopter.

-A contract that allows you to get 5 smoke bombs per day
-Two batons
-A 9mm pistol
-1x Weapon of Choice (No contract for weapon ammunition, will come fully loaded. Or you could just use your fists.)
-In case you get arrested, the trusted friend will also bail you out.
(If you pick this package, state your weapon of choice!)

Package 4
-State-of-the-art SUPERCOMPUTER with up to 4 monitors and as many accessories as you need. Also, your Wireless internet has been boosted to a whopping 85 Gigabytes PER SECOND!
-A subliminal 2-hour VR video that manipulates your mind and turns you into a very proficient hacker. It really works! You will have the knowledge to hack into most databases, learn all coding languages, along with basic stealth and hand-to-hand knowledge for avoiding and infiltrating minor establishments.
-A modified sports car that allows you to hit speeds of up to 420 kilometers per hour! Wow!
-A contract that allows you access to perfectly safe energy shots that allow you to stay awake for up to 56 hours without any side effects or long-term health detriments.
-A contract along with 8 cards. You may write a disguise or uniform you want on each card and send it to this trusted friend. Within 12 hours, the friend will give you the disguise/uniform, ready to wear. The disguise is yours forever. However, you may not include combat armor or bulletproof attire. Anything else is fair game. Instead of a uniform, you may also ask for a face mask that allows you to assume the face of anyone you desire.
-In case you get arrested, the trusted friend will also bail you out.

Hi!

Well, you get tagged after a month and you probably know what it is.

All Your Powers is going to be discontinued. (Permanent or not, I don't know).

I don't think I'll be able to write this anymore. It's not for some shitty reason like "my muse is gone!" or whatever. I still have plenty of ideas left over for this and can take it in the direction that we want to go.

Problems then? Why discontinue? It's a bunch of reasons, too many that are too personal to list.

I just want to really thank you guys. I mean, I can't put it into words, but I'll try my best. You guys stuck around since the beginning of 2018 for All Your Powers, watched it grow (not a whole lot but it did?), and really...

Well, you guys were a part of my favorite Quest and I really don't want to leave you guys hanging without a proper conclusion.

Because of that...well. I'll have a concluding post soon. No, it will not be an ending. There is no reason for there to be an actual ending. It'll be an incomplete conclusion, fully open-ended. If for some reason you want to use the AYP 'verse for an RP, project, etc, just ask. I'll probably ask you to change it to AU but if you like laser beams, go ahead.

But yeah. Thank you all so much for sticking around for so long, putting up with the ridiculously high number of hiatuses, and most importantly (wait. I won't be negative about this) actually making this what it had become. I couldn't have done it without any of you and I really want to give you all something in return!

A crackling bullet shot through the air, narrowly hitting a passerby. Two more cracks of the gun lead to a barrel of flour shattering right behind a shop owner, covering him in a layer of white. A third crack, and a pub window shattered into thousands of pieces.

The gunman lowered his rifle as he scanned his surroundings, examining the civilians. Most dropped everything and ran for the nearest open door. Some cowered in fear behind anything heavier than a horse-drawn carriage.

"Haw haw! Come out, ya Bibliamaniac! Too afraid to face ma' bullets? Guess yer all talk n' don't give a hogshead about me destroyin' your town! Ya damn yella belly! I'ma gut yer left-handed wife 'n watch her bleed all over yer URBAN LITERATURE!"

The gunman waited for a moment, raising his rifle.

Nobody emerged from any building.

The outlaw pointed his rifle in the air and fired off a few rounds, each echoing in the distance one after another.

"Tah! Dirty brand artists makin' my rifle silent. The Brit ain't gon' listen to this shit. Smart move, posers." The gunman unhitched his holster, pulling out a large revolver. Brushing his hand along the barrel and then giving a good few spins to the chamber, he was ready.

"This outta make a ruckus. Heh." As he reached to cock the weapon, a wonderfully shiny shoe struck him in the side of the face.

"GHKWHATINTARNATION?!" The gunman exclaimed, clearly confused about being struck. He hit the ground hard, a pebble digging into his upper shoulder. "I'LL KILL YA-"

"Watch your language." A pair of pale eyes looked down at the gunman through half-rimmed glasses. "Yer on thin ice, Big Lil'. I'll glare you down if I have to."

"You think I'm scared of ya? That gaze is the devils' work, I tell ya! One silver bullet through the head, and y'aint above snakes no more! I'll have at ya!" The gunman hopped onto his feet, raising his revolver rather too quickly.

The gun slipped backwards from his palm, striking him right in the nose and clattering to the ground.

The outlaw grunted in pain, clutching his nose. "You playin' at some witchery? My gun slipped outta my hand like some slimy glass."

"Not exactly, Big Lil'. Now I'm gonna guess yer a respectable Christian man who doesn't want trouble with us rich folk, hm? I'll give ya three seconds to scram before it's lights-out for ya." The bespectacled man narrowed his glare. His eyes pulsed in color, shining a bit of light on the gunslinger before returning to normal again. "Know that Ebeville ain't big enough for the two 'f us, Big Lil'. It's gon' be big enough when the jailhouse's ready."

He adjusted his glasses and reached out with an open hand. The gunman stared. "Well, golly, I'll be damned. Glass-eyed Guillaume. Ha. You makin' it all too slippery fer me."

"Good to see you, old friend."
