All Roads Lead to Rome (1x1x1 plus Mod)

Hai hai! Has everyone been busy then? I'm missing this RP XP (And we haven't been with it for long.) All I keep doing is refreshing the page.
 
Yeah... I've been busy the past few days.. I have tried to actually write something up, but I keep getting distracted. Uhhh.. It's not fun being stressed and busy at vacation.

Just been holding up for you guys here. I know Illusive had finals. My 1x1 RP's have been real slow too as my members there have gotten bogged down with RL stuff on and off.
 
Aw. Well, lets hope everything gets going again. It's been the same case for my other RPs - other site - and I haven't had anything to reply to for a while.
 
Well... I don't know.. We could wait (which we are already doing.) Try and continue without him? (That would just be weird..) Or maybe see if we can find someone who could replace him, either just taking over his character or somehow break into it? I mean the latter option on that is really breaking the story. But not every person likes to play as someone they haven't made.. (Atleast I don't really like that.)

I do have stuff going on in the story behind the scenes. I was hoping he'd post something. Then I was going to get into that stuff.


One of the possible plots for you guys is to try and go after Demir's sister. However, that is going to mean either a lot of money or a lot of blood.
 
Why not both? (Hehehe.. Sorry couldn't let it pass.)


Well.. In the end, it's up to Luggage on what we should do, since I'm the last of us three that have written now. There is the possibility that Illu will return. (We are friends in real-life and I am trying to see if he is there.. But to no avail yet.)
 
Oh, leave all the hard decisions to me, why don't you. I was prepared to wait to see if there was going to be a post. Have we any idea when Illusive is bound to return? I think we should wait another day, and if there's still no reply I can do a post and we can either go back to waiting or start moving forwards?


And blood and money sound great. Plenty of both are always good.


On that note, if Illusive does become inactive for a long while, I can try finding people who might like to take over. Just a thought.
 
So I guess this was sort of expected, but I think you will have to pass Damien to someone else. I had high hopes for my participation in this RP, but as it turns out, I have taken my mouth full (a danish saying, that means you thought you could do something, but could not.)


I thought I would be able to keep up with one post a day, but as it turns out, I could not. Not only that, the intensity of the roleplay (or rather, the amount if text.) was a bit overwhelming, and I was not that good at keeping up with events, as I thought I would be.


So I am sorry to say, that I am backing out, but that is mostly for your sake. I love the idea of the roleplay, and the progression so far, and I might still read up on the action in here, but I can simply not participate with the same quality as the rest of you.


I really do hope you can find a more fitting person to take on the role as Damien Garside, and I wish you all the best in the future of this roleplay.

Oh no! D: It was actually great to have you here! I was enjoying your character in this immensely! But if you think you can't keep up with this then I suppose we'll have to wish you well for your other ventures. It was really lovely meeting you - seeing as this is my first roleplay on this site - and it was great to have the opportunity to roleplay with you. I hope I have the chance again at a later date!

I would believe we are on hold... Until we can figure it out somehow or that someone takes over Illu's character.. But It's Mith that got the last say on what we are going to do now.. I am personally willing to continue.
 
Mm. True. Well, I'm a bit sad that Illusive left, but I can wait if we need to. I do hope there are people still willing to join this one.
 
Sorry been working past several hours. Very honestly, the odds of finding a third player are small. The goat was ... semi important. The RP can survive without it. The skill set was pretty important. Think about the effect of a geologist in the times. Now I CAN play a geologist. And I even speak Russian. (I was one them Cold War spies long ago.) But I'd never be able to manage his personality. (I would tend to make a Geologist more like the one in the movie The Core - less stodgy. He'd be radically different. LOL, the redhead would have gone after him.


I mean, we COULD treat the introduction of a new character like an alternate timeline.


OR ... I could kill him off. Not my preference.


Anyways ... up to you guys. If I create a third character I'll need a little time to write him up.
 
You're right about the odds. I've contacted a few RPers I know, but have yet to get replies, so I can see if they're any help. I personally don't mind either option: the new character or killing him off, that is. Though, of course, I'd prefer not to have bloodshed so early on. We can see what Sigismund thinks about this!

Well I got to agree, killing him off.. Would be weird and just confuse the story.. But adding a new one also breaks the story.. Considering that it was directly just those 3 that were transported.. We would need a really good reason for a new person to be transported/teleported.


While it is nice of you Mith to suggest making a character.. Wouldn't it be a bit much? I mean controlling the universe and a character, I don't know about you. But that would get hectic for me.. (Then again, that is why I don't really create roleplays.)

Mm, I agree about the confusion thing because of a new character - should one be added. It would need to be an extremely good reason. I mean, I don't know how the teleportation-time-traveling works, but I doubt one can switch one person out for another this quickly? Then Again, it could be possible, so.


Like I said before, Mitheral, I do know a few good RPers that I can contact and ask if they would like to join this before you try making the character. I would rather you weren't bogged under too much work.
 
You guys misunderstood ... I was talking about an replacement. IE as if our old geologist never existed.


I often run a character side by side with others while running the whole universe. However with this RP I was trying not to do that. I wanted YOUR characters to have as much control over the direction the group tried to take the plot (within limits of such things as revenge by NPC, etc and having to flee for your lives ... again.


Here is my suggestion: I will put up a Recruitment thread for someone to take over the character - as he is. If noone will do so, we can explore our options ... or declare this RP broken. Sad as you guys are excellent writers.


One OTHER option would be to set up a completely different RP. I have numerous ideas. (My Young Timelords RP is one you guys might like. It has a downside of being rough on technology. It's meant for somewhat younger characters - ie college age. The Deathlands RP is pretty harsh and gritty. And I have other genre ideas. If you loved the movie ET, you'd love Growf! My character in that one is a young dragon named Growf! The players are the ones that adopt him - typically smaller kids. He's afraid of adult humans.)
 
Well.. I guess the best option we have is recruiting someone else. (I'm fine with waiting.) And after a certain deadline we could go with the other options. I mean your other rp ideas do sound quite interesting. But if you really liked this idea too it would be bad to just throw it out like trash.
 
Well, I threw those out there largely because you two seem to write very well together.

But yeah, I really liked this idea. (And I do like your other ideas.) So I think we should wait for someone.. After a day perhaps with nobody we could change it over to one of the other rps.. But the latter here depends on Luggage.. I mean if Luggage doesn't want to do the other rps then that is that.. But I am op for it.
 
Well, what I liked most about this one was:


1. Shtick - Three Men and a ..... It had friendship built in with a common past.


2. No wildly unpredictable superpowers around every turn.


3. The Main Cast determined the direction of the RP (unless captured and marched in a different direction).


4. The Main Cast had almost unlimited opportunity given time. They could literally take over the world.


Timelords


1. Complex rules of travel and effects - but predictable ... except the destination.


2. Characters could choose to move on whenever they want (assuming the Matrix is charged). So if they don't like a location, they can try again.


3. Electronics, metal and crystals were badly affected with each jump. Made it extremely hard to keep firearms, computers, gems, etc.


4. Language was almost never an issue.


I also have a number of superhero settings. Like I say, I offer options if this RP dies. But I already put a recruitment thread out there. Just to give you an idea of how well I am capable of running characters while running the universe - I once ran 8 very intelligent guys (mostly military intelligence or college students) for hours every day - each with 1-3 NPC's per person associated with their characters, plus some other regular NPC's. I was so good at this that they never had to ask what NPC I was acting out. They could tell by my mannerisms and speech patterns. And these were detailed NPC's.


You know the TV series Criminal Minds had a serial killer that fractured because he was a scam artist that tried to maintain too many ID's.... Hmm...
 
I have no problem with waiting or starting another RP. I'm rather partial to this one, but I'm up to trying something else once I understand it. Are we to wait only a day for the recruitment? It seems a little...less.


And goodness gracious, eight characters? That sounds...awe-inspiring, actually. I can read eight books and keep their plots in mind and discuss each at length, but I can't work with eight characters, sadly enough. Oh well, each with their own talents, right?
