Hello Everyone,
A couple of good friends of mine, and I were aiming to start a reboot of one of our RPs back in 2020 but due to a myriad of unexpected factors, the RP was unable to start. We eventually decided to try and resume the reboot earlier this year but, unsurprisingly, many things had changed since the original attempt and we are now lacking some key characters. So I am here asking if anyone would be interested in joining.
The Basics of The RP
The Roleplay is a pretty straightforward Slice of Life RP centred around the Rhodes family and their friends/neighbours. (It has no relation as far as I'm aware to the TV show All in the Family which honestly I didn't even know was a thing until way after the RP began). Older versions of the RP were set in 2017 and time skipped small amounts of time but we feel like trying something new with this reboot and having the RP start in 1999, specifically on the day that the parents of the family meet and then hopping to major time periods such as the births of the children and so on. Initially, time skips will likely happen fairly often as not everyone will be around in the 1999 setting but once everyone is involved the plan is to be able to fully allow time to explore each time period in detail before moving on to the next. How often these skips happen and how far ahead they move will change depending on the thoughts of all members of the RP.
Characters
Here is a list of the characters already signed up as well as the characters we need to fill. Any characters in Green are already accounted for and will 100% be in the RP. Characters listed in Orange are characters who we would like to have in the RP but don't have anyone to play them at the moment but are not essential for the RP to begin. The characters listed in Red are characters that we have decided would be SUPER useful to have but don't currently have anyone to play them. While the RP could start without the characters in red it would take some adjusting so if we could fill the red spaces that would be amazing. All details regarding the characters presented in this list are based on their 2017 roles just as that has become the 'default' era and is what the characters were originally designed around.

We are open to accepting other characters outside of the ones listed as needed above but if you feel comfortable playing one of the roles above then please do as it would be super helpful, more Rhodes children are allowed but we ask that they be younger than Anthony (who is 16 in 2017) and older than Liam, (who is 14 in 2017), so it's a small window but workable if you're desperate. There are also other characters intended to be a part of the RP but most of them are considered more 'NPC' type characters and so I didn't want to list them all to try and keep things simple. If you want to play multiple characters then that is fine as long as you feel you can keep on top of all the characters you wish to play. The needed roles are also adaptable to the character you wish to play, gender roles can be switched and relationships can be altered to a degree, we want the character you play to be your character after all.
If you want to reserve a spot say so here and we will talk through details about the RP and the characters with you to make sure your character fits into the dynamic naturally and so on. We do have a discord server that we prefer you join if you are interested as we find that it makes discussions much easier, I will DM an invite to anyone who shows interest here.
