NPC's are generally the characters in games that are not controlled by the player, NPC standing for Non-Player Character. However, in AITF, NPC's are in fact controlled by us, the Role-Players. I know, confusing right. So what is the difference between an NPC and a normal character? The normal characters are the 'main characters' of the story and these characters will likely be used in almost all of your posts. NPC's are the 'side characters' of the story. NPC's will appear less frequently than normal characters and can even be shared amongst multiple people.

But you probably already know all that...

Anyway... here's the NPC thread.

  Name: Daniel Corduroy
  Relevance: Owner of Corduroy Lumber Company, one of Emily's Employers after she left college

  Daniel Corduroy, often known simply as 'Manly Dan' was born and raised in a small 'sleepy' town in Oregon. He fell in love with a girl who visited his town on holiday one year and managed to stay in contact with her over the years as a pen pal of sorts. Her name was Abbigail. He kept his relationship with Abbigail a closely guarded secret throughout his school life, knowing that, with the reputation, he had, his relationship with her would likely lead to his peers getting the wrong idea or even bullying him. In honesty, he was embarrassed about the relationship. As soon as Dan reached the end of compulsory education he moved to Michigan to live with the Abbigail, he started his lumber business soon after as a form of income and, as the son of lumberjacks himself, he knew the trade exceptionally well.
  
  Not long after Daniel moved to Michigan, he proposed to Abigail and she said yes without hesitation. Not long after that Abigail fell pregnant and gave birth to a baby girl by the name of Wendy. However, Abigail died due to complications during childbirth, leaving Daniel as a single father to Wendy. Being a single father, Daniel no longer had the ability to single-handedly run his lumber business and effectively take care of his infant daughter. As a result of this, he started to hire employees. His company never grew to be super large and so he only ever had 1 or 2 employees working for him at any 1 time as he was able to take care of the admin himself and just required help performing the tasks that are best performed without the presence of a newborn child.
  
  As Wendy free up he taught her how to cut down trees correctly and how to properly process the wood depending on what it was going to be used for. Rather than going to college, Wendy decided to stay with her father and pursue a career as a lumberjack herself. Eventually, Daniel's employees left for other jobs, which is when he employed Emily as an extra pair of hands to help himself and Wendy out, especially during the busier times of the year.
