    It has been many months since the last iteration of this RP came to an end, but, at long last here we are, with an all-new All in the Family Rp.

    I'll be honest, that sounded far more dramatic in my head.


    I dunno why, but the idea of making character sheets made me think of this music, possibly because I've just been playing Mario Kart with Idio


    This RP is for a closed group of people if you wish to join and are not already in the group then head to our Discord server: Join the Family Slice Of Life Discord Server! (Or if using the discord app enter the code w2BmQZm in the join server box). We will ask you to explain any character ideas you may have as well as possibly asking for other information such as an RP example. We also ask that you only apply if you are able to stay committed to the RP or at the very least can promise to tell us should you have to leave for any reason (be it leave permanently or temporarily), just so that we can work around your absence in a way that works for everyone. Anyone who creates a character sheet without first joining the discord will be declined no matter how good their CS is. If you want to join but don't have discord then PM me and we will see what we can do, though we would prefer that you do have discord just so that we can keep in contact more effectively as a group. The RP will be happening here on RPN, Discord is just really good at making OOC discussions easier. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

    Before moving on any further, let's get the boring stuff out of the way first

    Rules:
    1. Please be nice to each other, your characters may hate each other and wish death upon each other, but OOC we're all friends here​
    2. No Godmodding, don't take control of other characters withing your post unless given direct and explicit permission to do so​
    3. Try to stay as active as possible, if you need a break or need to leave the RP then please let us know first, that way we can work around your absence in a way that works for everyone.​

    Okay, now that's over, let's get to the more exciting stuff.
    Rather than focusing on one, small, time period, this RP will progress at a steady rate through multiple time periods. The RP will begin on Wednesday the 15th of December 1999. The Rp will continue at a steady pace until all RP members are ready to progress onto the next time period. When all members are ready to move on, a time skip shall be performed and RP will continue as normal.

    This is where I'd usually post a CS skeleton, but as everyone who this is relevant to probably already knows their characters and some of you may have already prepared your CS I won't put one up. If you have any CS-related questions, come ask us in the Discord!

      Emily was born in Glangwili hospital in Carmarthen, a town in the small country of Wales at 08:14 am on September the 11th 1976. She lived with her mother, Angharad, Her Father, Emyr, her sister, Seren, and the family Dog, Dylan. Emily and her family lived in a house on the outskirts of Carmarthen, Angharad, stayed at home to take care of Emily and Seren while Emyr worked as an engineer. Life was simple for the family until January of 1980 when the company Emyr worked for closed their Carmarthen branch. The company offered Emyr the opportunity to keep his job, the only catch was that he would have to work in the Manchester branch. After many nights going over the pros and cons of the move, Emyr and Angharad decided that they could provide a more stable life for their kids if they accepted the offer and moved to Manchester.

      By August 1980, when Emily was just 3 years old, the family had packed up and left their life in Wales behind, moving on towards a new life in Manchester. By the time Emily had turned 4, she and her family were all settled down in their new life or at least, as much as they could be, having left so much behind. Seren had been enrolled in a school in Manchester, while Emily was still too young to start school. Emyr started his 'new' job, doing the same thing for the same company, just in a different place with different colleagues. The family's new house was now much smaller, although, with some adjustments, they managed to squeeze 3 bedrooms out of the house. Emily and Seren slept in the 2 bedrooms that were actually bedrooms and Angharad and Emyr converted the attic into a bedroom, though this was a lengthy process.

    History When she was born she was born deaf at first her parents couldn't tell at first until she was one month she had a screening test. Her parents found out she couldn't hear out of one of her ears her mother didn't like the idea of her daughter is deaf so when they got home her mother packed her bags and left that day Ellie never really understand why her mother had left her. Sometimes she has trouble speaking she doesn't really like how bullies make fun of her deaf accent she usually uses sign language but with her friends, she speaks she had taken speech therapy it had took her years of therapy to learn how to speak she uses her hearing aid for her friends and father but she doesn't like using it since it hurts her ear it gives her some irritation.

    She's very quiet when it comes to meeting new people but when with her friends and family she tends to be loud. She is very caring, she has a big heart but with a big heart, she manages to get hurt a lot easier than others. She is also very insecure about herself and doesn't think she's pretty enough like her mom or the others girls at school. She is loving to anybody she meets though she is shy and often doesn't know what to say.

      This man loves dad jokes, useless facts, and making dorky remarks. Despite his somewhat goofy nature, Tobias is intelligent, kind, and empathetic, often the more emotionally connected half in his marriage. He boasts about his tough skin, which he proudly states came from his job. Most witness a confident husband willing to help at a moments notice, but many don’t realize he searches for words of affirmation from those around him. Though he can be suave and helpful, he doesn’t always realize the boundaries other have established. Tobias encourages honesty, even if it hurts and he is unafraid to confront others. Tobias is often the first to come to someone’s defense and won’t let people speak ill others, especially without knowing the whole story. He is more inclined to be optimistic and tries to recognize the good in others, even when they anger him. Not many would describe him as overprotective, but he can be quite nosey about the lives of his children. Above all, Tobias loves his family and enjoys the quirks that make them the Rhodes.

      Personality: Liam sometimes has difficulty knowing what to say and when, or just generally what to do with himself, but he’s a thoughtful person who tries his best to please those he cares about. He is happiest doing his own thing, but will usually go along with most sorts of activities as long as there’s a plan. Get him started on a topic he enjoys, and you may struggle to get a word in edgeways! Though, once his limit to socialise has been reached, he needs to have some time alone to recharge and collect his thoughts. Once he’s had enough, he’s had enough, and if he doesn’t get space to himself he can quickly become anxious and irritable.

      While content around what he knows, there is undoubtedly a more withdrawn side to Liam when taken out of his comfort zone. It takes time for him to warm up to new people or situations, often conscious about whether he’s doing things “right” or not. He struggles when things don’t go as planned, which can leave him frustrated or upset to an extent that others may consider to be disproportionate. Despite this, he does his best to be resilient, and will usually want to take on a challenge again with the right support.

      Due to the way his brain processes things, Liam finds it difficult to navigate feelings - both his own and others’. This can be misconceived as not caring or wanting to engage, but the reality is that he experiences everything with such intensity that he often becomes too overwhelmed to express himself. He cares deeply for others, and that can be seen if you let him show it in his own way.

    Personality: When she is in an unfamiliar or uncomfortable situation, Lilly tends to be quite shy, quiet and reserved, only really speaking if spoken to. During these times she will often try to hide away from what is happening around her by doodling, playing a game, or something similar as a coping mechanism. Despite her, usually crippling, social anxiety, Lilly will do her best to be polite and not come across as rude, though this isn't something she is always completely successful at.

    When in situations she finds more comfortable, Lilly comes out of her shell quite considerably. For the most part she still isn't overly talkative, but her more bubbly personality comes to the surface. She is more than willing to socialize with the people close to her and when doing so her usual social anxiety doesn't seem anywhere near as prominent as it is when she is talking to people she is less familiar with. Despite not generally being overly talkative, if you get her talking about something that she is especially interested in, Lilly can talk for hours without taking pause to even breathe properly and when she gets excited about something it can be rather hard to get her to quieten down at all.

    Lilly sometimes struggles to fully understand her own emotions, easily becoming overwhelmed by her own feelings. Equally she can become overwhelmed by how she perceives everyone around around her to be feeling, though her perception can sometimes be inaccurate. Lilly hates confrontation and finds it hard to even be around 2 people who are in disagreement, she also sometimes misunderstands friendly debate as an argument.

Lilly was born extremely prematurely, not being due until late February, and was supposed to be one of twins. Unfortunately, due to complications during childbirth, Lilly's twin did not survive. Lilly was monitored extremely closely for the first week of her life due to concerns the doctors had regarding her health. But, eventually, she was allowed to be taken home, though had to return for fairly regular checkups. Lilly developed rather slowly, hitting milestones noticeably later than expected. Lilly was a surprisingly quiet baby, rarely making much noise even as she started to learn to speak, preferring to point or gesture to communicate over making sound. As a result of this she took quite well to her father sharing his signing knowledge with her, choosing to use signs for words where she could rather than speaking them aloud. When Lilly wouldn't go to sleep or wouldn't stop crying, she could usually be calmed down fairly quickly by taking her for a spin in the car, which would usually result in her calming down or falling asleep in a very short amount of time.

      Overall Lilly was a fairly happy baby and she slept well. There were a few fairly serious health scares during her infancy but she survived each and every one.
