Alice is a sickly human who is pursued by two gods the god of death and the god of life. What makes Alice so desirable is that fact that she is pure to most things the riskiest thing she has done is stepping on to her back porch. She only eats things grow from the earth and has never had contact with another human her parents locked her in a room they wouldn't catch what she has. Yet, she still thinks so highly of them and never has a bad thought.
The god of death plucked a strain of hair at the age of two however in the underworld you can't age past the age you died so he patiently waits until she is the right age, she can't see him but she feels him often refers to him as the whispering wind.
The god of life can see her but he can't grant her immortal life because death already has her hair...
