Guidelines/Rules:

- Try to rp "realisticly" and in-tune with your created character's persona, it adds to the fun.


- Try to describe the setting, atmosphere, whatever, ... in your posts, it helps avoid one/two-liners (People will appreciate more indepth post)


- No godmoding (Try to rp relatively realisticly...Example: Don't fight a dozen enemies at once and come out unscathed...again, it adds to the fun if you rp somewhat realisticly and with NPC-difficulty, rather than cut through every opponent/event/encounter with ease. )


- Try not to meta-game (Meta-gaming basicly means that your character always knows or "for some reason notices/sees/knows" every single thing. Even if you, the player, knows something will happen through reading the RP-thread, that doesn't mean your character knows it. I hope this makes sense, because if you RP without meta-gaming, it adds alot to the fun imo.)


-No bunny'ing other people's characters (Don't control other players' characters, some people really dislike that and unless given permission, should be avoided nearly always.)


- No calling hits/wounds on other players' characters (Don't say you cut off another player's character's arm without giving them a chance to fight back, most players will, hopefully, rp properly and call a wound/hit when it's deemed "necessary" => Example: Get attacked in the back by a very skilled assassin who drank a potion for a short duration-invisibility (Example!) = Should result in a wound/hit. )


- Have fun! RP'ing is a hobby and should be treated as such, hobbies are meant to be enjoyed so have fun guys/gals!

Magic Discipline(s) (If any): Nope! I like to hit stuff!



What are you skilled in/Other/Misc: I can make a mean Steak! As well as be a great distraction because I can take a lot of hits as much as I can dish them out! Also, I can take ANYTHING and make a weapon out of it.



Appearance: Has medium-long hair that he keeps out of his Hazel eyes by using a red headband. He's about 5'11" and very muscular. He wears a red scarf-like robe around his neck, and has a red gauntlet over his left arm which has a dagger built into it. He wears a partial red and black chestplate which cover from his left shoulder to, over to the begining of his right shoulder, and down to his waist. He wears Leg/Knee guards on both legs that go from his knee down to his ankle. He wears black and red pants to cover this protection. He keeps a double-edged longsword at his side that has a red ribbon around the hilt. Keeps a basic shortbow on his back with a quiver of 25 arrows.



Personality: A free-spirited, and outgoing guy. A bit shy when it comes to beautiful women, but still tries to make friends with them. He's nice and sweet, but mess with him or his friends and it's your head!



History before they joined the Fang: Started "The Fang" when he was 16 with a few of his friends. It was originally just for fun, but after their first mission to stop a band of thieves, they got serious. In the 5 years that Jameson has been in the Fang, it's almost safe to say that he has seen it all. Which hasn't really affected his personality, except for the fact he can more easily read people's actions. However before then he lived a rather normal life. He had loving parents and older brother, plenty of friends, and even a lover whom the Uldyr only heard her called as Scarlet. None of the other fang members really know about her. His father was a Fighter and naturally wanted to teach him to be a Fighter. His mother was a Pure Mage, who taught his brother to be a Mage rather than Jameson. His mother though would tell him stories every night about the good and dark mages. He was always intruiged by it. However, one day his entire life would change forever... One day as he was coming home from scowwering the marketplace for fresh fruit (father's orders), he came home to a blood-bath. His parents, brother, and lover was brutally murdered while he was gone... He had never seen a more grusome sight, and still hasn't. He dropped to his knees and simply cried for hours. He later then tried to give them a proper burial, and was so tore up by the incident that he ran away from his hometown. He then arrived at a rugged run-down city, where he decided to stay. A few months later, he met Uldyr and later formed "The Fang".

Flaws: A bit hot-headed and tends to jump head long into things no matter what the odds. Tends to speak his mind which is not very good when it comes to negotiation.

What are you skilled in/Other/Misc: Skilled at 2 handed weapons and using Sergal-style heavy armour, good tactician and can use her limited magic wisely to the greatest effect.

Personality: Friendly for a Sergal, but quite distant, she is more likely to shoot off a rude comment than acknowlege a fault, she doesn't care for some of the standards of this land, often prefering to curl up on top of a bed with just her hair/fur insted of under the covers in clothes, she is also in no way picky about her food, perfectly happy to kill an animal, give most of the animal to the rest of the band and just eat her share raw.



(Short?) History before they joined the Fang: Once a high-ranking colonel in the Sergal armies of the north, her force, a force of 6000 female infantry and 2000 males (quadropeds, move fast and hit hard, but are usless in frontal assaults) however she was decieved, the humans and dwarves on the opposing side knew the males were coming and slaughtered them all, her mate, who humans would call her "husband/lover" were among them, upon seeing this, her and many of her infantry shrieked and roared their battlecries and charged, however they made the mistake of getting funneled into a small pass, where human shields at the other side made her numbers account for nothing, the enemy caused an avelanche, sending thousands of tonnes of ice and rock down upon he and her forces.



she survived by sheer luck, and managed to get out.



knowing her people would never have her back, and her lover dead, she trotted south in shame and defeat.



some weeks later, she came across a small village, there she was arrested, she went without a fight, she was locked in with a human, a young boy, over their time in jail, she began to see this human like a little brother, and she loved him like one, however the town was attacked by a large gang of bandits, one of the cell walls collapsed and they got out.



in the chaos, she took the human boy by the hand and lead him to the city gates, the kid went limp along the way thanks to an arrow in his head, Jeeza went ballistic, charging and tearing the bandit crossbowman limb from limb with her bare hands,m then proceeded to fight her way back into the town's keep and get her weapons and armour back.



with her on their side, her intimidating roars and feats fo strength and courage, the local guardsmen managed to beat back the demoralized bandits and she was hailed as a hero... but her "little brother" was dead, she just wanted to cremate him and move on.



it was several days later that she was found by the fang, where they accepted her, and she accepted them.



she acts cold to everyone in the fang, but in reality she is growing fond of them.

Personal ambitions/goals: to overcome her failings and grief, to regain her honour through the art of battle and to one day love again.



Flaws: easily agitated when confronted with her past, not likely to make friends and loses control when she sees those she cares for getting hurt.

i have some ideas for their culture and strengths as well


This race's females stand above their male counterparts, on thier feet the average adult is approximately 8-9.5 feet tall while males on their hind legs stand at approximately 6 feet.


As a culture, they are violent but by no means savage, instead combat to them is a form of comunication as well as a method of conquest and defence, they also have a policy to be merciles to their enemies, but immensely loyal and caring to their friends, often slaying the babies of their enemies while if they found a friend floating down the river, they would take him/her in and nurse them back to health.


they are a matriarchal society, women make the decisions, males exist as mates/husbands, to defend their lands from invaders and to raise the children while its actually the women who go out and fight, run their machines and are the "bread winners".


how they could fit in to the story


actually, im unsure of how to incorporate them into the RP.


for some reason, i imagine they are from a far-off land, expanding (or migrating) to the south, invading from the north, however with the agreement to a ceasefire they are open to negociations and if turned against the enemy hordes, they could form the bulk of a great, mighty army for good... but the forces of evil are looking to recruit them as well.


what they want in return for their support: land, and the right to practice their culture without fear of having their practices banned (eg: having children fight with claws and teeth, fights in the streets, practicing their religion which is ironically similar to Buddhism ect...)

Uldyr needs to feed on any being once a week in order to function, he has sworn to only feed on either enemies or cattle of his own stock.



He was a bartender, but gave that up when he became the other Founder of the Fang.



Apart from his skill in Dark magic, he's fairly knowledgeable about Dark Seals, but lacks practice and expertise in that Darkness-branch.



Appearance:

Personality: Cold and detached to those he considers cattle, empty and devoid of most emotions towards those who aren't part of the Fang or who he has some sort of relationship/history with. Occasionally loses to his bloodlust and sadistic vampiric nature. Fortunately that only happens seldomly.


(Short?) History before they joined the Fang:
Uldyr was a human bartender with a kind heart and sincere compassion for most, until a vampire wrecked his life by feeding on him. It wasn't a normal vampire though, not a Turned One...but a Pureblood. Now his and the Pureblooded vampire's faiths are somewhat linked, If the Pureblooded vampire is slain, so will Uldyr's fate be. Uldyr doesn't know about these things yet though.Once he became a vampire, he became an outcast until he was welcomed in a Vampire Enclave who had tracked him down. There he learned many spells and arcane knowledge which was considered Dark by others, for some reason he was forced to study about Dark Seals yet they never explained him why or even let him practice it, he was only allowed/forced to learn it through tomes, scrolls and books. Eventually the Enclave was destroyed by a certain organization that hunts vampires. Only Uldyr and a few others managed to escape. After that, they all went their separate ways and the first non-vampire to befriend Uldyr was Jameson, and together they formed the Fang.


Personal ambitions/goals:
To somehow restore his humanity and/or find a way for vampires to co-exist with the other races peacefully.


Flaws:
Only adheres to his own codes and ethics, except when reasoned with by someone he respects, like Fangmembers. Lives one day at a time and doesn't really care about what happens to him anymore. Is weaker during daytime.

What are you skilled in/Other/Misc: Is skilled with the use of knives, and the aspect of flight, and the use of twisting words into lies. Is rather good at dancing for no appearent reason. Likes sand, and almost always has a bag of it somewhere on her.

The wings have long sinced turned almost completely black in colour, only the edges remaining a dull white.


Personality: She's a bit of a strange person, not really happy, not really sad, but not exactly passive, with a sadistic side towards her targets whom she seems to love shredding to pieces without ever touching them.


(Short?) History before they joined the Fang: Was drawn to the human plains by a young gentleman. She'd given up her rights as a divine spirit, and when she had fully fallen for the man, she'd learned of his plan. He was a seller of collective things, a charming snake who wanted nothing more than to rip and carve off her of her wings to sell them to a man who had craved a pair for years, thinking them to be a wonderful wall decoration and was offering a hefty price. She'd ran that day, leaving him only one sign that she'd be back. The first feather to turn black from her wings, a tell tale sign she had grown greatly corrupted with dark intent.


She'd wandered since then, learning the tools of her trade to live. It wasn't long after, she'd met someone who pointed her towards the Fangs. Her need for some form of a 'safeness' caused her to follow one of them around for a long while, before she'd finally approached them, asking to be allowed as one of them. After proving herself worth their time, she was accepted in, despite a few conflicts and has stayed among them since.

Personal ambitions/goals: To kill the one who stole her heart.


Flaws: Has a great distrust for men, can not stand being touched by anyone, and those that risk that often wind up with a knife in their eye socket. Doesn't follow orders well.

Species/Race: Wood Elf



Class: Assassin



Magic Discipline(s) (If any): Poison & Potion Crafting, Nature



What are you skilled in/Other/Misc: (Examples: Good dual wielder and a good storyteller, etc. etc. ): Does well with small weapons, has a small amount of skill in range and archery



Appearance: Long, board-straight brown hair that is very sparsely decorated with braids and wooden beads or pulled back and tied up with a thin strap of soft leather, dark green eyes beneath thin brows, a lithe, toned body, and sort of a "sunkissed" skintone. He's fairly tall.



Personality: Eriac tends to be quiet unless spoken to, but always forms opinions in his mind. He has problems being a team player occasionally, as it's more his nature to deal simply with the natural world and animals rather than people that are more out of his control. He's also fairly closed off emotionally to people, partially due to his past and partially due to his class.



(Short?) History before they joined the Fang: Before joining the Fang when he was in his thirties, he was wandering. Until his fifteenth summer, he had lived with his family and the rest of the village. He has one sister who, as far as he knows, is still living, but his parents were killed ten years before he joined the Fang by a violent band of humans who wished to use them to control the forest while they made their way through. When they put up resistance, the men and women outnumbered and managed to kill them quickly. In his fifteenth summer, Eriac left and only returned once to watch the ceremony of his parents' passing. He left to find his purpose and his companion animal. It took him months to find her, his companion Shria, who is a female cougar. He spent a long time training himself with small weapons, such as knives and such that could be easily hidden, to protect himself from being taken advantage of. It wasn't until he was approached by a small band of assassins that he put any of those skills to much use. However, upon his parents death, he vowed to kill the men who did it, and when the other assassins refused to lend him any aid, he left that band. He was approached by the Fang after and joined them.

Personal ambitions/goals: To find and kill the men and women who had murdered his parents, to ensure the safety of his sister and his remaining family and friends that still live in the village, to become better at range and archery



Flaws: Not very trusting and easy to anger, though he won't show it. He also bottles his emotions and so is more prone to having breakdowns if he doesn't remember to release those emotions in some way.

Name: Gabriel "Rook" Jefferson

Class: Necromancer (used to be a pure mage)

What are you skilled in/Other/Misc: Can understand and immediately pick up any language that he has heard; loves to craft and modify dead bodies that he comes across (his favorite modifications involve the detonation of the body and the grotesque addition of extra limbs - he is no exception to this rule!) Can unattach and reattach body parts to himself at will and has great resistance to pain due to his nerves no longer being active.

Personality: Short tempered and impatient - he hates waiting for anyone or anything. Loathes any messengers of god, for he feels that they had forsaken him and caused him to have the body that he has now. Prefers to be called "Rook," as he disavowed his true name for personal reasons.



(Short?) History before they joined the Fang: Ten years ago, before he died, Gabriel was a traveling priest and healer that converted and helped those that needed it, despite their history or background. However, during one of his travels, he saw a sight which would forever be etched into his soul - angels burning a village to the ground! Even though he did not know the circumstances behind the situation, his conscience was screaming to him that those lives needed to be saved. He managed to get several people from burning buildings to safety, but was killed from behind by an angel's trident! As he watched the village burning with his dying eyes, all he could think about was how god had forsaken everything he believed in....



...Several hours later, he woke up to discover himself in a huge library! Looking at his charred body, Gabriel realised that he had been ressurected as an undead - the most ironic of ironies! What was more stunning was the fact that he had been saved by a necromancer, no less! After this meeting, he went through intense necromancy/dark magic training, as he had lost all memory of his previous magics due to becoming an undead. Now, under his master's orders, he has joined the Fang in hopes that he would be able to realise his dream...

Personal ambitions/goals: -To desecrate anything that belongs to god/gods



- To utterly destroy his conscience



- To kill and ressurect the bodies of angels as undead, thus performing the ultimate profanity

Flaws: Somewhat anti-social; respects the veteran members of the Fang, but that's it...he does not wish to know the members of the Fang personally, and does not seem to care much for them (although the personality he once had as a human will not allow him to watch them die). Developed a sacrificial personality - he believes that some people need to be killed in order to save the masses.

Talents: Can raise ANYTHING for any period of time. Can also bind souls of the recently deceased to anything,however,this requires a ritual and some reagents (salt,a piece of the body from which the soul originated,and fresh blood*). For Alchemy,he specializes in "grenades" (mixtures designed to be thrown,and their containers break),and has a wicked arm,for a dead guy. Has learned to use his Alchemy early on to preserve his body,maintaining the appearance of an old high-elven man. Guaranteed to be the most intelligent person in any given room.

Personality: Calm,humble,intelligent,asocial. Believes in "I found it,therefore it's mine".


Pre-Fang History: Sandro was once a mortal man. He delved into the study of necromancy as a young boy,seeking to unlock the secrets of life and death,and,in the end,learn how to cheat them both,by removing himself from the mortal coil without actually dying. Eventually,he decided to take up Alchemy in order to preserve bodies and such. He was constantly villified by less intelligent people,when,in reality,all he had ever done was rob the graves for the fresh corpses of criminals,and study his craft in seclusion. Having outlived several towns,cities,and even civilizations,he has become something of a myth in some spheres,known only as "The Fallen Man",robbing graves for evil experiments. When he was an old man,he discovered how to become immortal,by binding his soul to an object that must remain on his person for the rest of eternity. He chose an amulet,made of gold,with a large amethyst in it. By this time,he had become liked by the town he had arrived at,having fled countless others before. He had a request; A single person,willing to allow him to make a single cut on them to gather some blood,and then he'd patch them up.


The Duke volunteered. Sandro done as he had promised he would; he used a clean knife to make a cut in the Duke's palm,and squeezed out about a pint of blood,then he bandaged the wound,and left him a healing potion. That night,he bound his soul,using the blood of the willing,to his amulet. He had become a lich. The next morning,he awoke to find his flesh beginning to peel away. In a panic,he concocted an embalming mixture,and poured it over himself,halting the decomposition proccess,temporarily. After dringking a healing potion,the decomposition proccess reverted. He went into the town to bid farewell to the Duke,and to thank him,leaving the Duke the contents of his lab for his use.


He had since wandered the world,solely in pursuit of knowledge,but never sharing it. He heard of the mercenary company,known as "The Fang",and enlisted,seeing it as an opprotunity to learn more of the world's secrets of life,death,and alchemy.


Status in The Fang: Junior member


Personal Goals: To learn more about alchemy and the secrets of life and death.


Weaknesses/Flaws: He must,every morning,douse himself in an embalming mixture and drink a healing potion in order to maintain his acceptable appearance. He relies on his undead minions and alchemy in a combat situation,being a less than stellar fighter on his own. Not a very sociable guy,since he spent most of his existance alone,or with corpses.


Likes cookies?: He doesn't need to eat,but he does still enjoy the occasional treat.


*The blood of a volunteer (the willing) provides a far morestable bond.

Personality: Unintelligible at best. Gnasher isn't very bright, and loves to be praised, so will always do as he's told, to the letter. When he decides that he likes something though, it's best to let him have it.


History before they joined the Fang: Gnasher was summoned to the material realm by Sandro, who at the time was just dabbling in summoning magics. For some unknown reason though, Gnasher couldn't be unsummoned or dismissed, driving the lich to great displeasure. Being unable to unsummon the dumb brute, Sandro found it more prudent to keep him around, little use in having so much destructive force on the loose. It was simple to figure out that Gnasher wasn't even capable of the thought necessary to breech his contract, making him the perfect assistant to a frail bodied mage of any kind.

Personal ambitions/goals: Get a reward. That's it, that's all. Gnasher wants gratification in all that he does.


Flaws: Illiterate, unable to count, limited problem solving skills; all around, probably about as smart as a sack of potatoes.

Is fairly good at turning everyday objects into weapons. Despite his large size and brutish attitude, he's quite the smooth talker, managing to talk his way in and out of things (despite not being the sharpest tool in the shed).

Personality:
Does not seem to care much for most people, with the exception of those he considers companions. Has a violent and sadistic side when it comes to combat.


History before they joined the Fang:
Ahmael lived his life mostly on his own, scouring various places for food and shelter. His lifestyle trained him to be strong and ruthless, willing to do anything if it came to survival. At a young age, he began doing mercenary work to help get by.


Before long he got in over his head, taking a job to kill a beast of a man that had been using the nearby cities as his hunting grounds. The man tricked Ahmael into letting him live, then attacked him the following night, infecting him with the blood of the Beast. Instead of falling to the Beast, he fought to control it, using it to aid him in his fight for survival and to push his own strength further.

To continually push his strength to its limits and grow more powerful.


Flaws:
Is quick to jump to conclusions and quick to anger. A heavy drinker. Has let his animistic side get the better of him on occasion and attacked others without warning (though never companions).

Appearance: (Description or Picture) : like this without the piercings, with red eyes, no helmet but another dagger in that hand (he also has daggers in his boots, some on his chest, always carrying a minimum of 8 daggers!

Personality: Evil; but caring of the other Fang Members (less for the recruits - he believes they will die off)


(Short?) History before they joined the Fang: Was born into a family of Drow Assassins and decided to prove himself to his father by killing Avetic Oih, he was defeated and the younger angel spared his life - he later met up with her again and was convinced to join after his family were killed and he had nowhere else to go.. This is the only act of kindness he ever accepted and was offered.

Personal ambitions/goals: he wants wealth and to kill and be tested to his maximum ability


Flaws: missing chance with throwing knives, lightness (not skylight but heavenly-like) severly burns due to darkness bound into body

Your character seems definitely a-ok for me, but could you please elaborate 2 things?


1) What do you mean with binding darkness in his poisoned daggers?


2) What do you mean with The darkness bound into body ?


Normally you can consider yourself approved but I'd like to know what you meant, before you can post. Sorry mate, I'll try to reply as soon as I can so you can get crackin' on that rp'in. ^^
 
If youd approve I wanted him to be able to have dark magic bound in him and he can control it (though not 100% perfectly) and even put some dark power into his weapons for more damage..
 
So, basicly .... having Dark magic ?


Considering that's allowed, I see no issue with it. magic comes from within (fantasy-theory ofc) + using darkness to enhance your weapons could be describd as a Dark Enchant or whatever.


So, consider yourself approved mate. ^^ ... Damn, just read that we made it so that Assassins can't have magic besides Poisoncrafting ... Ah **** it, rules are meant to be broken. Just make yourself novice/adept at Darkness magic, don't rely on it and don't go overboard with it.


Again, consider yourself approved but keep what I said in mind, cheers. ^^

What are you skilled in/Other/Misc: Garnej stays calm regardless of the situation. He also holds no fear, and tactically approaches every encounter



Appearance: Garnej has pale white skin, and wears a long monk's robe, darker than the night's sky. it has a same colored hood manually stitched into it. He has short, jagged dagger sheathed on the right side of his belt. He has a light brown bag filled with sand hanging around his neck. Lastly, he has heavily worn sandals, that look as if they might break at any moment, but are extremely sturdy



Personality: Garnej is a very calm person. He has never lost his temper since he became a monk, and prefers to be solitary more than anything. He helps those who need it, but does not like others to help him, seeing his challenges as his personal burden.



(Short?) History before they joined the Fang: Garnej spent his life on the run, hunted by a town nearby to where he lived. His parents were killed by these prejudiced humans and elves. He came to hate all humans and elves, as he wandered aimlessly throughout the wilderness. Half starved, as he never strongly developed the skills necessary to hunt, he came across a monastery in the middle of nowhere. He began to ransack it for food, until the monks came. They told him to leave or feel the consequences, which boiled through his blood. His hatred for humankind and elvenkind drove him into a frenzy, attacking the monks. They subdued him easily, and interrogated him to learn his story. They then decided to have him join their order, to calm his blood and teach him a higher path. After many years, and drastic changes to who he was, he set out to help those he could, to atone for his previous sins. And so, he joined the fangs

Personality: Graceful, down to earth, cheerful, and sympathetic, but a worrywart when it comes to her hurt comrades. Likes to put on a façade of toughness and haughtiness around those she doesn’t know/like, despite not being all that tough or haughty. Has no sense of time and can often be found in the company of her bear, who she often treats like a pet.


(Short?) History before they joined the Fang:


At the young age of 5, Caylx already gained herself an animal counterpart; the big stature and protective nature of the bear almost made up for the fact she hadn’t shape-shifted. It was an uncommon occurrence, but the ability lays dormant in the girl still although she doesn’t know how to activate it.


A nomad since the age of 15, Caylx soon learned to live off the land with the rest of her clan until they had encountered a disease. Forced to re-cooperate in a land they did not own, some were well-burned by the disease while others seem un-affected. Unsure what else to do, Calyx set off with a small group of people for a cure, although the group was too late in their endeavours. The rest of the clan had in fact died, and the group had split up from then…


Caylx is probably the last to join the Fang, and she isn’t quite sure as to why she got the invitation either. There is a part of her that misses the nomad group she had, so she eventually convinces herself to join the crew.

Flaws: Cannot shape shift and has no weaponry what-so-ever, depends on her magic skills and of course, Zykx (who is sometimes stubborn)
