Fantasy Age of Kemonomimi: Primal Age

Sakura Rambloom

Sakura eyes widen a little in shock, for she was taken off guard by Blair's question. 'This was not what I was expecting at all.' She personally thought to herself and then responded to her captain's mental message. 'Um, well... I haven't really thought much into romance. I always focused on my duties and protecting my friends as well as the royal family that I really didn't give it a chance.' Sakura rubbed her arm a little awkwardly.

This was all too new for Sakura, she never really talked about romance with anyone, ever. Now here she is, talking to her superior about the topic, which she never in a million years thought she would happen. It was a bit weird, but, she also felt like she was getting a bit closer to Blair which made her a little happier about the situation.
'So um. Do you have a romantic interest? I mean, you don't have to tell me Captain if you don't want to.' @Shadow Alpha

Roy closed his side of the link and started heading for the library. meh i would have met at the forest,he thought as he ran past people without making any sort of noise. when he finally arrived at the library he sat down outside of and waited for Blair and Sakura. After a while of waiting he got bored and picked up a book about white tigers. he flipped through the pages until he found a page that said Facts. Cool the humans know more about my animal form than i do. he paused for a second, realizing that could be good or bad, but he just shrugged it off. lets see. WHOA he thought after seeing some facts about his species. I can see 6x better at night than humans. Thats awesome. he contiued reading and sat there waiting until Blair and Sakura came.

Even though Sakura's comment on not giving it any thought lowered her hopes, she still admired her strong values of loyalty to those around her. It was one of the things that made Blair fall for the fox in the first time. Blair would have been content with dropping the topic until Sakura asked about her own love interest. Blair was thankful for her wolf form so that she couldn't be seen with a terrible blush. Well it's either go big or go home for me now. She tried to draw as much courage as she could from that thought alone before responding. "It's funny that you should ask me because I do but umm its completely one sided apparently. It's...you." Near the end, Blair's voice continued to get quieter and quieter.

Ciri smiled and nodded when Megumi agreed to speak to her, and once she had moved from Revan's side she led her away from the rest of the group a decent distance. She was obviously nervous, but..she felt this was the right thing to do. Her nerves could of prevented them from being together sooner after all. She blushed slightly once she took her hands, ignoring her first instinct to move them. "I um..Please don't get mad..I'm not entirely sure if you would but..either way." She told her before sighing and trailing off slightly. "I'm not really sure how to say it, so I'll just come right out with it. I..I've had a crush on you for a while but I was afraid to tell you. I mean..You're a princess, I'm just a maid, you know?" She explained. "I figured now would be a good time to tell you once I saw how Revan was acting with you. If you two are already in a relationship or something I understand. I..also understand if you don't feel the same way or aren't exactly into girls or anything. I just wanted to tell you before it was too late." She continued before growing silent, blushing heavily at this point. At this point she wasn't sure how Megumi would take it, or if she'd get mad, or just laugh at her, or anything. She just silently stared into her eyes while she waited on a reply, hoping it was a good one, or at the very least non-hostile.
Megumi held Ciri's hands tightly as she prepped her for some sort of deep talk. Or at least that's what she thought would happen. The way Ciri was acting and speaking as well the the fact that she drew them away from the group gave her a vibe that it'd be personal. However her smile remained as bright and kind as ever. "Do not be nervous Ciri, I could never be mad at you. Just speak your mind and don't be afraid to hold back!" She said softly, quieting herself as the bunny girl began to talk. Just as she thought what she said was something very personal, but it was beautiful and lovely. So much that Megumi found a small blush on her white cheeks. Ciri really did have a crush on her. How cute! "Oh Ciri, you're so cute! Thinking that just because you are a maid means that I'd reject your love! That's an absurd thing to think, I couldn't reject anyone's love, especially my favorite maid's. And me and Revan are not in any form of relationship, sort of. As part of our human cover we are a couple, but there is nothing between us." She explained, reaching forward and kissing her cheek softly. "However I don't know if I can say yes yet. I want to see you say that in your true form Ciri, back in our kingdom. Although I know it's you, it feels strange. Once we are both in our natural states I will give my answer. But for now do not give up hope! I haven't said no yet..."

Sakura Rambloom

Sakura didn't hear Blair too well due to her becoming more quiet as she spoke. 'Did she just say me?! No, that can't be right...' She thought to herself with a small frown of confusion. 'I'm sorry captain, can you say that last part again? I couldn't really hear you?' She asked looking at Blair. Part of Sakura knew exactly what Blair said, but the other part rejected the idea due to confusion and conflict. Sakura hoped that she just heard wrong, because if she didn't, boy was she in a sticky wicket. She had know clue how to respond or react to Blair's sudden confession without hurting her captain's feelings or sounding stupid.

'What to do, what to do!? Gah, if Bobby was here he would've helped.' Sakura pondered to herself. The fox girl never had anything against those who liked the same gender as themselves, but she never thought about herself being one of them. She always thought of herself as being straight due to her small crush she had on Roy when she was younger. 'Ugh, this was just suppose to be an easy mission! When and why did all these emotions come into play?!'

When Sakura looked away from Blair to get a hold of herself, she noticed the library not to far now. 'Come on everyone walk faster!' She thought, and tried not to walk faster then she already was going. The fox girl did not want to have to face this tough decision. Not right now without advice or help.@Shadow Alpha

Risa continued to watch from behind the tree's, Horatio seeming to begin a discussion with Hana, the cheetah girl slowly revealed her ears and tail, wrapping the tail quickly as a belt and ears tucked tightly under her hoodie, not that she could do much about the silver eyes or claws except keep her hands in her pockets and hood fairly down over her face, she had rather bad timing as her enhanced hearing kicked in though, as she came in right on the line of 'I never knew there was an adorable and sexy girl following me' with no other context, and too annoyed as she rushed over to hear the frantic apology, not thinking of the consequences or even the fact of how she overheard it in the first place, she seemed to appear there quite quickly, but had the state of mind to run no faster than what a human could, after all, she didn't want to get caught, getting caught meant getting rid of the 'problem'…. and she didn't want to 'get rid' of Hana.

"How dare you call her things like that you lewd pervert!?~" she called out and slapped Horatio, unfortunately for her poor hand that just so happened to be on the more mechanical side of his head, Risa shake her hand and blew on it slightly holding it pathetically and making a few small whimpering noises before turning back to face him, "And having a hard face is cheating!? Allow people to slap you without injuring themselves dammit!?~…." she continued, still standing confidently in front of Hana like a guar dog- cat, of sorts.

The human girl got out of the river, because she saw her wounds had finally healed and began to think about what the guy said. Circumstances changed? What is that supposed to mean? If you're going to kill me just kill me! Wait, that came out wrong. If you're going to do something just do it! There we go much better! Avie thought to herself with a bright smile.

Watching the unamed boy give her his shirt to cover her 'human' scent (
whatever that is) Avie decided to use it as a towel instead of actually wearing the shirt considering that she had just gotten out of the river. After using the shirt Avie then followed the boy to wherever they were going when the guy asked if she was hungry, "Well it has been a while since breakfast so sure, I guess." Avie still found it a bit odd still that the person who was trying to kill her has now healed her wounds and now just asked if she was hungry at all.

The confused response shattered any remaining hope that was within Blair and it showed in the way she carried herself. Her ears laid flat against her head while her tail hung low behind her as if were void of life. How could I have been so stupid to believe that it could've possibly worked out. It's already bad enough that I'm her superior and that there's no way I can just avoid her forever. Blair thought that she may as well try to act like she wasn't completely bothered by it. "I like you, but don't worry about it. I didn't really expect anything to come from this and I understand that you'll probably want me to keep my distance. I'm sorry for bothering you." With the library in sight, Blair sped on ahead to leave Sakura and the others behind. I can't believe that I actually believed in Megumi and Revan! ...Didn't expect rejection to make me feel empty.

Seeing as it was just a few hours ago since she had gotten fired from the hair cutting shop, surely Evan couldn't have known by now, right? Shaking the idea out of her head Aviana turned to the man, "So how far exactly am I from Chiba?"

Sakura Rambloom

'I knew it...' Sakura thought to herself and noticed Blair's wolf form get a bit sad. 'Wait Blair!' But before she could say anything, Blair had ran up ahead. The fox girl hit her forehead with a scowl on her face. "Damnit Sakura, why are you so stupid!" She mumbled under her breath not caring if anyone around heard. Sakura let out a sigh and continued her way to the library.

Once she made it to the door, the fox girl opened the door for everyone. "We finally made it guys." She said with a sigh. The positive energy she once had was gone, it was replaced with annoyance and a bit of confusion. But still, she put on a fake smile so no one would ask any questions. @FrostRaven @Kayzo @Twyllvarlais @Mitchs98

Kyouzen Fauna

Kyou nodded at Mimi when she declared what their next move would be, and he was most definitely glad that she chose the safest and more logical one first. Why would you buy books, just to walk through a forest where they could potentially get damaged? It was just silly, and Kyou was glad that Mimi seemed to share the same level of thinking he did on the matter. "Alright then... We'll go to the forest first, and then we'll go to the library. Sorted." With that, the teenage prince proceeded to walk towards the entrance of the city and then out into the forests, following his sister as he did so. Kyou let out a relieved sigh as he looked around. This, was what freedom felt like. Whenever he and Mimi went out together he always felt free, and although the castle did have some excellent facilities inside it, nothing was better than going out into the forests. Deciding to sit on a tree stump that was nearby, Kyou looked at Mimi with a smile on his face. "We should try and take the others out here some time, I'm sure they'd like it. And besides, it'd help them relax." He said with a kind tone in his voice. Kyou knew that his other siblings were nearly always attending to their duties as a royal, and thus didn't really have any time to do anything else. Or so it seemed in his eyes. He thought it'd be nice for them all to come out here together, however unlikely that may be. Kyou knew that Mimi probably felt the same way as well.
Mimi Fauna

"Awesome lets go!" Mimi cheered, quickly leading her brother out of the city and to the forest. Maybe they could go swimming? Though they didn't bring any swim suits..they could always just use the clothes they had on. Or maybe not. Just walking around was fun too..but she did want to swim. Soon enough they reached it and Kyou sat down on a stump to rest, Mimi deciding to sit on the grass beside him. She nodded at his suggestion. "Yeah! It'd be awesome. Those guys stay in the castle too much. They'd love it out here." She replied. "Oooh. We could even all go swimming in the lake! It'd be fun! We should ask them next time." She added excitedly. "Soo. Now that we're here, watcha' wanna do?" She asked.

Ciri blushed slightly when Megumi kissed her on the cheek, though nodded nonetheless. "O-Of course I will! I look forward to it." She replied excitedly before hugging her tightly. She hadn't said yes, nor no, but what really mattered was that her and Revan were just friends. Hopefully nothing would change that while they were here. She really didn't want it to. But, as long as Megumi was happy...she could deal with it. Besides, what she was the most happiest of was the fact that she wasn't too late. "Come on, let's catch up with the rest." She told her. With that she slowly started to follow the others until she was sure Megumi was behind her. She'd definitely tell her the first chance she had when they got home, she'd be sure of it.

Raisa sighed as she approached her desk, brushing her long dark hair from her face. She had finally finished reshelving the returned books, having come in that morning to two carts full of books. "Does anyone reshelve books before going home?" she muttered to herself as she took her seat behind the long desk. She was by herself for the day, as this was generally a slow time for the library. She always enjoyed her time in the library, especially when she got the day to herself, save for the occasional patron. The gossip from the older ladies never really interested her, and she didn't seem to have much in common with the younger volunteers. She sighed once more as she sat in the comfy office chair, her eyes casting around the quiet library. There were a few there, some scanning shelves, others working on the computers they offered to the public.

A group of either late high schoolers, or early college students, sat in a far corner discussing a project. Study groups. She smiled softly, remembering the times she had study groups as well. The memory jogged a thought, and she turned her attention to the screen before her as she logged into the computer. "Staffing..." she murmured to herself, focused on the screen as she clicked through the menus. She made a small noise of discovery as she started to type, requesting the following monday off work due to having been scheduled to sub for a teacher. She hit the enter button, and then sat back in the chair, picking up a book she had been reading. The title reading
The Great Gatsby written by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Sachi Kuzumiyo

Sachi decided to take a walk. She would hope that her mind would be directed away from her dispute with Revan.

Revan. Ugh- That guy...

She left the shop in the hands of the owner as she walked around town. She was going nowhere in particular.

Maybe she would get some coffee, get a pack of cigarettes, and just chill for a while.

Eventually she reached a crowd all gathered around something that she was too short to see. @FrostRaven

But she could hear it. She could hear music, and it was honestly very pretty to the ears.

Being entranced by the music, she moved in closer. She didn't have anything to do, so she figured she could afford to waste some time.

There was a single man in the middle, and he was the source of the noise.

Woooow- He's good.

Do I have any money? God- I love street performers-

She began to reach into her purse. After fumbling around for a half-minute, she realized she had left her wallet back at the bookshop.

Auuugh- You gotta be kidding me...

She stood there for a while, just listening to the man sing.

Everett Huewes

After escaping the grasp of the 'robot-woman', Everett made his way to the city library.

He had just picked up a new word of vocabulary, the 'Augmented.'

He made it his goal now to study them. He wanted to learn as much as he possibly could.

Entering the doors, he saw the rows and columns of books.

The sight of the place had fascinated him.

He had been to the library before, multiple times in fact, but every time he stepped onto the library grounds, he was filled with wonder.

That was a pretty close call... I'm lucky she let me go.

It was strange though... She seemed about as curious about me as I was about her.

I can't be letting that happen too often...

He noticed the woman at the front desk and decided to ask for her assistance straight away. @Dethbycoffee

"Excuse me, do you know where you would keep books on the 'Augmented?" He asked, smiling pleasantly.

The woman looked to be of a race he had not seen before, or at least not very often.

He was instantly intrigued by her exotic appearance.

It seemed there were just as many different types of humans as there were Kemonomimi!

The woman looked up from her book, seeing the man before her, and smiled warmly. She closed the book with a soft thud, and placed it upon the desk as she stood from the chair. "Oh, of course." she said lightly, brushing the hair that fell over her shoulder back behind her. She silently noted to remember to braid her hair before coming to work. It always seemed to get in the way of things. She stepped around the long desk, brushing hands over her clothing to make sure it wasn't wrinkled from sitting.

He was handsome, she had to admit, though his question was intriguing. She figured everyone knew of the Augmented, or at least, had heard of them at least. She nodded toward him, motioning for him to follow her.
"Are you studying them for any particular reason?" she asked absently, keeping her voice low as not to disturb those around the library. "We don't have a whole lot of information on them, except for what has been released for the public to know." she sighed as she lead him through the towers of books.

The reference section was near the back of the building where there were many tables set up for students and others could spread out their books and work. She paused to take a quick glance at what was on the nearest shelf to orient herself, and then lead him through to a small section. Many of the books she motioned toward looked almost as if they were mechanical manuscripts.
"This shelf, and the one below it, are all we have at the moment." she informed him, her fingers passing over the spines.

'Are you studying them for any particular reason?'

"Ehh- Not really." He said, following the woman and trying to keep his voice down as well. "I just find them interesting."

Truthfully though, he had only found out about them today.

The library was quiet. The air was stiff and the people inside were all absorbed by the books in their hands.

Unlike the Kemonomimi kingdom, it was peaceful here. Back at home, it was endlessly chaotic. That didn't mean that it wasn't entertaining, however.

But despite the fun of the energetic atmosphere, he felt that it was somewhat difficult to keep up with his own kind.

Perhaps this was just a side effect from residing in the human realm for so long, but he had come to admire the simplicity of human lifestyles a lot.

The Kemonomimi realm didn't have 'libraries', but he really believed that they should. As fun as the quirky inhabitants were, he figured the Kingdom would greatly appreciate places like these. Or at least, he appreciated them very much.

Oh- If only the Kemonomimi were here...

They'd crash this place as soon as they walked through the doors, haha...

The woman was leading him through rows and rows of books, and he followed very eagerly.

With the countless number of different volumes resting on each and every shelf that he passed by, Everett imagined the section on the 'Augmented' would be full of information for him to read up on.

After some time, they had finally reached an area in the back of the library, but the final reveal turned out to be... anti-climactic.

'This shelf, and the one below it, are all we have at the moment.'

"Oh, really? This is it? Haha- That's rather disappointing." He said, in a light-hearted manner.

"That's a little tough on me, but I'll deal with it. Thank you." He said to her, smiling again.

He grabbed a random book off of the shelf and flipped it open.

Immediately, his face reflected a very puzzled expression.

After becoming accustomed with the language of the humans, he had pushed himself to learn to read their literature.

While not a beginner, some human writings were still difficult for him to understand, but he felt that he had bothered this woman enough.

And he thought that asking for her help even further would arouse suspicion.

This was definitely something he was trying to avoid ever since running into the Augmented woman from earlier...

Iris

It was very odd how they managed to say things at the same time. Iris didn't fully understand the connection between twins. Where twins were rare in the human realm, they were even more rare in the Kemonomimi realm. She figured she would never understand that mental link, or how it was even possible. Kind of weird to think about possibility when she was a different realm wasn't it? Well, now she was guaranteed access into their house, this was improvement wasn't it? She watched as Soren picked out a vest for his sister, and she proclaimed already having one like it.

Hmm...so Srion likes the cool style...

Her eyes shifted around the store until she found some black jean shorts with three metal studs under each pocket.

"Something like this suits Srion."

She voiced softly. She also managed to grab a black fedora and a navy blue beanie and placed one of them on Soren's head, though she had to jump up a bit to reach.

"Soren has trendy styled hair, so wearing hats make him look cool."

She quickly fixed her statement,

"N-not that you aren't already cool..."

@Srion Receno

Hayden

A good meal would be good before setting off. Without mentioning where they were headed, he simply waved her on to follow him. His house wasn't too far from here, and, although he would rather not venture closer to the center of the kingdom, it couldn't be helped. Hayden had secretly snuck in some human snacks into the realm. Out of everything he hated human, he couldn't shake the desire to eat their sweet snacks and desserts. He would feed her, get her a change for clothes, and then they would be on their way. Simple as that. As he glanced over at her to make sure she was keeping up, his ears flicked irritably as he noticed her texting.

WHAT THE HELL??! How is that even possible...obviously I should be using her phone carrier!!

But he wouldn't voice his annoyance. He remained silent until her question arose. Chuckling a bit he replied,

"It's not how far you are. But where you are in the plane of existence."

He continued walking.

"It's all dimentional. Human realms, this realm, other realms. All right here in the same spot. Ever heard of that saying, just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there? It's like that."

Teasingly he added,

"You in a hurry to meet someone? Boyfriend perhaps? I'm sure he would love to hear about how you got sucked into a portal by a strange annoying guy with wolf ears and tail, who, apparently also wields fire, and now you are in another realm. But don't worry, you'll be home in time for dinner, type of situation."

He knew that would make her seem crazy if she said that to another human. Though he also didn't say it, he was planning on borrowing her phone later.

When the two started to go through the cloths around them once again, they looked over slightly at Iris as they heard her talking. the twins looked at each other then at her, they moved to her slightly then smiled. she was right that was Srion's taste but her brother would wear it as well. Srion looked at her then started to look for a bigger pare as well for Soren. Feeling the hat on his head Soren looked up at it then down at her with a small chuckle. "thanks im glad someone thinks im cool" he smiled then looked at his reflection in one of he mirrors. "Hey I think your cool" Srion said this as she threw a pare of shorts at him. "ya but your family" he looked over at her as he caught the shorts, then looked at Iris "so you definitely have an eye for cloths, we should take you shopping with us more" he smiled at her as Srion came up beside her smiling. "I think that's a good idea, we should hang out more"

Alpha sighed great they were going through a lockdown, she really should have expected that. It was at least one sign to her that she was still human despite being all machine she still thought like a human She would also have one of the test subjects as her body guard, well he often substituted for a test subject for complete marks.

" That is annoying another attack when will these people learn, hopefully that wasn't working with Dr. Light" Alpha said light didn't work in robotics be worked in a different general science as his project was hard to pin down, matter to data/ energy conversion.

Cadence Fauna

Cadence took to observing the situations around her as they neared their final destination. Blair was upset with Sakura for some reason, but she didn't want to pry. Megumi and Ciri had gone off, but had apparently rejoined them. Well, it seemed like quite a bit had happened during their journey, though Cadence hardly cared to participate. If she did, it would only mean potentially offending someone or making them upset. And apparently, there was already enough of that to go around.

Once they actually got to the library, she scurried inside, eager to get to work after a long period of doing almost nothing productive. She headed straight for the current events, grabbing as much as she could carry and wasting no time claiming a table for her own. Once settled, she spread out the books and newspapers, trying to find the oldest entry since her last visit. When she eyed a date that she deemed close enough, she grabbed the newspaper and started scanning it over. The main purpose of this was mostly to make sure humans weren't doing anything too stupid, though she knew it was a lot to ask. Nevertheless, she was going to sift through the nonsense to get what she needed.

As Roy was reading he caught the sent of a Fauna. Roy looked up from his book to see Cadence Fauna, a member of the Fauna Royalty, entering the library. He closed his book with out any sound because of his aura, and walked behind her without any sound made. "Hello Lady Cadence,I'm sorry if i startled you is just apart of my aura. Have you seen the other guardians?" he notices the newspaper, but doesn't say anything

Blair's slumped form could be seen entering the library, careful to avoid the librarians sight. Back in the kemonomimi realm, animals are openly welcomed in all establishments due to Kemonomimi having an animal form. She was aware that there were buildings in which humans did not allow animals to enter. Blair's paws padded softly through the library until she found an area littered with bean bags, chairs, and varying couches. I may as well find a good place to lay down since there's nothing of interest for me in here. She chose a large bean bag chair that was covered in a downy material. It was quite soft and Blair had begun to drift off as she laid on it.

Cadence Fauna

Despite her concentration on her researched, Cadence was hardly fazed by his entrance. Mimi had almost trained her to ignore such annoyances, which in her defense, came to solid use at the moment. "Hmm?" she responded vacantly, still quickly skimming the pages as she rapidly flipped through them. If the title of the article was boring or had no significance to her, she hardly cared at all. "Oh yes, we all came together. They should be somewhere around here, but I'm not sure where," she replied finally, setting aside the paper and rapidly searching for the next. She couldn't really say that she cared for too much of what she'd read so far, which was bittersweet. For one, she didn't have anything else to worry about. But for another, it felt like she was wasting her time a little bit. But she would never be able to forgive herself if she missed something crucial that could affect the kemonomimi, so she kept on skimming. This technically wasn't even her job; Kyou was more suited for this sort of work. But at the moment, there was a good chance that him and Mimi were doing something nonsensical in their absence, so she ignored it... for now. "I think Blair might have gone passed a small bit ago, but I can't be too sure. Vague blobs in my peripherals are not my focus at the moment," she continued, starting on the next section of her research.

Revan followed the others to the library, where they were gonna meet at. Almost everybody else was doing their own thing and Revan was starting to get anxious to return to the Kingdom. His father hasn't been feeling well and he wanted to visit him and check up on him. Revan decided to sit down in one of the chairs inside the library and light a cigarette. Waiting for everybody else to do what they had to do.

Sakura Rambloom

Sakura trudgedly walked into the library once everyone went in. She made a headcount of everyone before making her way through the tall bookshelves in the library. The blonde guardian wasn't looking for anything particularly, she was just skimming the books to distract her from the drama that had just happened with her captain. It didn't work. Their conversation continued running through her head to the point where Sakura would run it through if she would've said yes, or something different with a positive outcome. 'But you didn't say that now did you?' She kept thinking to herself at the end of a positive outcome.

With a huge groan of exasperation, Sakura faceplanted into a book in front of her. She was happy that she couldn't feel pain because the book was very big, and would most likely give anyone else a headache if they were to ram their face into it. With a deep sigh, Sakura decided to pull out the big book to see what it was about. It ended up being an encyclopedia about animals with fun facts inside. The blonde looked at it for a good minute before shrugging and making her way to a table.

She sat at a table two tables to the left of Cadence's table. It was right in the middle of the library, which is nice so she can keep an eye on everything and everyone. Seeing that everyone was safe for now, Sakura opened the encyclopedia and began reading about the first animal. "An aardvark can do what? Wow that's prettt cool." She muttered to herself, her finger tracing the words so she wouldn't lose her spot.
