Age of Heroes

Cedric looked at the battle uninterested. He was mostly trying to figure out why his head kept telling him things and why Seth and Kinalt had similar weaknesses.
 
In Kinalt's hand, an orb of light grew. To anyone familiar with spells used by the Paladins of Crea, the ball of light forming was the same of that used in a spell named the Lightmass bomb. Used only as a last resort, the Lightmass bomb to blast an area with searing light, melting armor and incinerating flesh of all who were exposed to it, even the caster. As the spell grew, however, it became clouded, swirling with streaks of Darkness. Kinalt's blade also became clouded with streaks of Dark, as if Kinalt himself were succumbing to it. Stepping back, Kinalt gave a clumsy swing at Rose.
 
Akira watched Kinalts movements as he looked at his sword, he was about to use his ability to stop the spell cast but it was too late, he had already casted it. He looks at Rose as Kinalt swings for her, with great speed he runs in and blocks the attack with his katana, then pushes him back with some force, he looks at Rose "Stay focused!"
 
As soon as the Heroes were ready to fight Kinalt, the doors opened. Kirva was there. "Let us go." ,he said as he charged towards Kinalt, sending him flying deep into dungeons again. He then, headed towards the door, leaving the dungeons of Etheros. They were now in the very castle of the said kingdom.


Dead soldiers were seen spread out through the kingdom, burnt, crushed, sliced, they were destroyed by none other than Kirva. Blood was scattered, flames were lit, and the army of Kinalt had been obliterated. The power of an Ascendant truly is fearsome.


As Seth exited the dungeon, he saw all the destruction brought upon by Kirva. He asked the Acsendant, "Do you think that guy's dead?"


Kirva answered back at him, "No. That would not kill him, and I can not kill him. He is a part of the gods's plan and will play a very important part in the future. And for now, we return to Lucier. The Desterrats are coming there, I can feel it."


"But how?", Seth asked him. Etheros sure was far enough to take them days before reaching Lucier. By that time, the Desterrats would have destroyed its walls.


"You do have Dragonkins with you, do you not?", Kïrva said to him.
 
" Present " Rose said and stepped forwards now standing next to Kirva she had a grim face on when she saw all the destruction that was around them

With a growl, Kinalt stood up after once again being thrown down. Despite the confidence the heroes posessed, it seemed that only the Ascendant knew the danger Kinalt posed to the group. Making his way out of the dungeon, Kinalt was hardly phased by the destruction of his army. Checking his sword, he began his journey to Lucier to rejoin the main army.
 
After the Heroes presented themeselves after the horrible fight in the fort, and the escape from the dungeon, Kirva radiated with energy.


He flashed with golden light and quickly transformed into the huge golden dragon as he spoke, "Go ahead Dragonkins, change. We must hurry to Lucier. Also, Rose, give that jar to the kings."


Seth looked at the majestic golden dragon in which Kirva has turned into. He sheathed his greatsword as he observed Kirva's new form.


"What are you waiting for." , Kirva said, "Hop on.", lowering his tail as a path to climb onto his back.

Meanwhile, just a few yards away from the walls of Lucier, the army of Desterrats and the corrupted king Moya marched. His dark aura made it look as if though the armies's black armors and weapons sturdy, the ground beneath them weakens and decays.


The king laughed as they marched towards Lucier. "The worshippers of Crea shall fall!" The army answered back with a shout that was heard even up to the walls of Lucier.


Then, the king asked for one of his generals. Knowing that Kinalt was still away, and the message had been recieved, he said to Kurisu, "Kurisu, I need you to sneak in Lucier, and find those people Kinalt have told of. Take the ancient jar that they hold, if they resist, end their suffering."

At Lucier, the kings were at the middle of the first city, together with their combined armies that almost matched the numbers of the Desterrats. They ordered their men to prepare to defend the walls. The armies then rushed outside, different kinds of coat of arms and flags were seen just before the gates of the walls. Then, the king of Reindal headed out towards his army, he was ready to fight. The three who were left, gathered the remaining relics they had - the Gem of Etheros, and the Blessing of Crea, as they headed into a large temple.

"As you wish, King Moya..." With that, Kurisu set off, diverging from the main assault group. He knew the walls were layered, so, he decided he'd make not a one man infiltration, but a four man one. He split into two clones and quickly had them climb the walls and assault any nearby guard for a distraction. When Kurisu heard the yelling and clashing metal, he knew that the plan was working. He quickly worked himself up and over the wall, pulling his cloak over him and concealing his weaponry, then proceeding to fade into the crowds of people.
 

" Finally some real action ! " Rose said as she clenched her fists and her veins pulsed she chuckled as her pupils turned into slits she looked down and fell to her knees ad she began to shift


First her whole body became very toned as her muscles pulsed out her body became warmer then suddenly scarlet gleaming wings burst out of her back and she laughed which slowly became deeper into a growl as crimson scales pierced there way through her skin while she grew larger and her bones cracked and became larger while moving and forming into a snout her teeth grew sharp and long all while her body grew in size


When it was all over she was a....huge....shimmering...blood red....dragon...then she looked up at the army that stood before her with her reptile eyes full of...anger, hatred and...death


Then she let out an ear piercing roar that filled the sky and shook the ground under their feet load enoght to be heard for miles as her whole body pulsed with energy that could be felt by anyone around her


She stood waiting for the others...wings extended, teeth bared...radiating a strong body heat her tail behind her


The jar unlike her clothes did not rip to shreds or break it now lay standing up next to her she picked it up in her jaws and put it in a special pouch that dragons used to hide jewels or gold when they where moving out of an old cave

Kinalt broke through the doors of the dungeon to see two massive dragons, one a crimson, bloody red, and another shimmering gold. The Heroes that hadn't been able to turn to dragons themselves began to climb upon the tail of the golden dragon, who Kinalt assumed to be Kirva. Slowly approaching the group with another Lightmass bomb growing in his hand, Kinalt figured the group was going to make haste to Lucier, where the rest of Moya's army was. With his sword raised in a ready position and the blue flame once again growing Dark, Kinalt stood barely a few feet from the large red dragon, which had begun to emanate heat. Within Kinalt, however, his soul itself, stricken by grief, began to black and twisted, and Kinalt gave an inhuman laugh as he observed the Heroes.
 
Rose turned around and looked at Kinalt she roared at him with her lips curled back teeth exposed slightly drooling as she tried to knock him back with her massive tail.

Akira looks as Rose changes to her dragon form, he then looks at Kirva as he nods and then draws his katana, placing his hand on the flat surface as he draws out the last amount of magic. "here goes..." He then sheaths his katana as he starts to change into his dragon form. He changes into a huge silver dragon, he soars up into the air and flys next to Kirva as he says "So... Whats the plan?"
 
"We fly out of here. Rose and Cedric, you go in the city and find the kings. Give them that relic. The rest, we go to the walls.", Kirva said as he flew up into the skies, bringing the Heroes with him.

THE CORRUPTED ASCENDANT - III


Just before the walls of Lucier, the sounds of clashing steel and flesh was heard. The war had begun. The armies of the old kingdoms fight against the army of Desterrats, led by Moya. The place was beginning to be bloody.
 
Rose nodded and took off flying towards the kingdom to give the relic to the kings like Kirva said

Cedric started sprinting after Rose. What a pain to try to catch up to he thought. Cedric was pretty mad that he was having to chase after Rose not fly with her.
 
Rose looked down and under her she saw Cedric and she sighed before wrapping her tail around him and placing him on her back she looked back ahead and flew the wind easily flowing around her and she said " Akira thought you would hate out kind "

Cedric gave her a bland look even if Rose couldn't see it. "I hate that you didn't tell me the truth and I could tell you weren't." He looked out at the scenery going rather fast. "I have learned not to care much about anything anymore. My life has gone in all different directions don't expect much to be a surprise."
 
As they took off into the sky she started to get knots in her stomach. "Crap" See she had a tiny fear of heights well maybe more than a tiny fear. She started to feel sick "I think i'm going to throw up." She wished she could of stayed on the ground.
 
" Whatever you say " Rose said and bear her wings to fly higher above the clouds and she burst out now surrounded by white she stood out quite a bit and she said " There now we can fly smoothly " now you could see a long scar reaching across her back she had it in human form to but it was hidden under her dress and now compared to the clouds you could see it clearly

As the three dragons flew up, Kirva told them, "Rose will go in the city and find the kings. We, Akira, me, Seth and Starfire will go to the walls and see what is up." The golden dragon then flew towards Lucier.


Seth looked down on the terrains as he soared in the skies. Ruins of old kingdoms, forests destroyed, and other old spots wrecked by the actions of one twisted man.

Meanwhile, on the ground, Kinalt was approached with two men riding on two horses. With them was a spare horse. "Sir Kinalt.", they said, "King Moya requires your presence. Please follow us."

In Lucier, a shady looking man was spotted by the guards. He was approached by them, saying "Sir, citizens are not allowed to the first city. Please go back to the inner walls."

The scar looked horrendous from his point of view as it was long and very obvious "So this is why you didn't want me to find out." Cedric sighed a bit. "I'm assuming either the king or the humans you trusted did this to you." He looked over at the scar I guess we all didn't have that childhood he thought.
 

Rose fell silent not saying a word she looked pained by a aura change and then for a moment she closed her eyes as of thinking about the memory then she opened them and her pupils became small in anger her aura had an enraged feeling as well she didn't say a word but with one great beat of her wings they flew faster

Soon the clouds became thinner and she was no longer hidden in the protection of white she looked down and spotted an area to land she retracted her wings and dove down then at the last minute at about 600 feet she extended them again and glided in a slow spiral towards the ground till she felt the soft earth beneath her claws and she allowed Cedric off by kneeling on her front right foot​

Akira followed Kirva to the designated loction, he was charging up magical energy so that he would be able to unleash his magical flame when he needs to "Do you think this fight will go well in our favour? Or will Moya continue to spread his corruption like a snake spreads its poison?" He asks himself as he flys through the air
