560220Following the main strip of the city, it seemed most of the storefronts were one type of shop or another. There were numerous food places that were not on the map that were in equally numerous languages. Zekera and Chrýsos, as well as the others who decided to walk a similar direction, were getting a lot of attention. It seemed most eyes were on them, and people were curious.

All the same, they would eventually get to their destination. The Angelic Cafe. It was a larger storefront than many of the others, further down the street than the other listed restaurants. It was as white as the clouds and as clean and disinfected-looking as a hospital. The front was made of huge windows and it bore no name, though there was no mistaking that it was the right place as inside there was a staff made up entirely of angels.

One angel approached them as they walked into the building. She was petite and beautiful with almost platinum, golden hair and bright amber eyes. Her slender frame was complemented by stunning white wings which sprouted from her back. The girl's feathers ruffled and she smiled at the two of them. "Table for two? Would you like your food to be blessed or no?" she asked, her voice reminiscent somehow of ringing church bells.

The sight of angels was somewhat surprising. he had guessed they only appeared within christianity and likewise. As he reached through his bag he found the gold coin bag he had been given. " Order anything. My treat~" Chrysos chimed to Zekera ashe tilted his head a knife slightly pointing out from his scarf.

" She shakily replied before with a big grin she sat down on the large cushion she was given. She loved the divine realm, so accommodating. " Whitish hair? Usually in a plaid skirt?" She asked as she gave a nervous glance to Ma'at as if begging her to handle this.

Despite this look his left hand was still trembling with rage " And yes snake. Thats her. I suppose she is here then. So. My I await my answer Ma'at" He stated again. His patience was known to be thin in times of rage and every now and then his hand would trail to the sword on his hips before going back to the table.

"Very quick." Michiel said with glee, cracking his knuckles dramatically before reaching for his utensils and digging in. Michiel adored food and always paid a generous tip whenever he ate out. Though that was incredibly rare due to his poor upbringing, a privilege reserved only for select, important events. Taking his time and enjoying every little bit of food, he was methodical with his assault on his meal. After he finished, he got 6 gold coins out and slapped them down on the table loudly. "Finest meal I had in years, my compliments to the chef." he said. "I'm going to be staying with someone named Durga. Sounds like an Zulu chap, should be interesting enough. Know anything about him?"

Aleksandros soaked in the information like a sponge. "So we are in an unfamiliar place surrounded by people that don't like us, don't trust us, or don't care, being hunted by a gang of angry gods that want to kill us and end Earth. Great situation for me." Aleksandros said grimly. "Can you tell me anything about the people that don't trust us?" Know thy enemy, one of the most critical lessons of the Punic Wars.

Living Habits of the Hydra and the Basilisk: Unexpected Dissimilarities. The book was one of the titles that stood out to Xander, and after a moment of deliberation he plucked the book from the shelf and returned to his seat with it. Taking a quick sip from his soda, the boy flipped open the book and was pleased to find that he could read the words. Skimming through the pages, he found a few handwritten notes which caused his eyebrows to furrow in confusion. Are people allowed to take books with them? It honestly wouldn't surprise him if the restaurant was also a library. Returning to the first page, Xander began reading the book. If deities and monsters are real, then it's best to know what I'm up against. From what he remembered from school, hydras could regrow their heads and were almost impossible to kill. If he could learn how to avoid them or at least avoid angering them then he'd consider himself better off than he was before. Besides, he mused as he glanced up at the other shelves, if I get through this fast enough, I can grab another book. Taking another sip from his drink, Xander did his best to tune out his surroundings as he read.

~Accalia~
The Excited Hydra

After Ma'at's dismissal, the students flooded the streets and separated into different directions. Artemis had given Accalia a grin and a wave before disappearing as well. The goddess's sudden departure barely fazed the demi-human; Artemis was a free spirit and as such she'd come and go without explanation. Besides, if she needs me she'll be able to find me. Accalia still wasn't sure if it was one of the goddess's abilities or just skill, but Artemis was always able to find her huntresses anywhere at anytime. The Caladrius let out a small sigh as she watched all of their new wards explore the city. It had been a hectic day, and it was only going to get busier as they rushed to finish the last of the preparations. I need a drink. Taking a few lesser known paths in order to avoid the crowds of students and the attention they drew, the demi-human finally arrived at The Excited Hydra. The restaurant was a quaint little building full of pleasant people and Greek food. It reminded her of home, so it had quickly become one of Accalia's favorite haunts.

Entering the restaurant, Accalia was mildly surprised to find that one of the summoned heroes was already seated. Her expression was stony, which contrasted the openly concerned one on the waitress's face. Not wanting to interrupt their conversation, the Caladrius stood near the doorway and waited for an opening. The girl looks capable. Perhaps she can be persuaded to join Lady Artemis. She didn't want to force the idea down the girl's throat though; just a casual conversation to test the waters. Even if she outright refused to join them, Accalia would at least be able to learn more about one of her future students.

Hotaru Igarashi (蛍 五十嵐) - 19 - Student

mid_114806_6029.jpg

Ringing out most of the water that she could, water droplets still dripping from her hair and her damp clothing stuck to her skin, Hotaru was at least glad to know that the weather was suitable for a dip in the water and not a human popsicle. Nevertheless, she would've enjoyed being dry than being soaked. Whilst tying her hair back up, the voice of an unfamiliar female shouted towards her, "Hey! Are you alright? Did someone push you into the pond or something?" giving the young demi-goddess a bit of a startle as her head shot up to see the owner of this voice. She was expecting to find someone, not the other way around, but at least it was someone who seemed.. friendly..?

"No." Hotaru managed to utter, a bit weary and sheepish about her current appearance, trying to cover herself with her arms crossed against her chest, "No, I don't know how but I landed in water." Gazing back towards her entry point before facing the woman again, "I actually don't know where I am if I am being honest." Hotaru's expression was filled with confusion, trying to think of a rational explanation as to how she may have ended up in a pond with an unfamiliar face speaking to her. This woman especially did not look Japanese either, if she were any of the allies in the war, they’d take her in as a war captive for sure.. or worse... "Do you possibly know the nearest bus or train station?” The best way to avoid the situation as a whole was to leave as fast as possible. If anything, she was probably only a few towns away from home. Perhaps she'd day dreamed herself into a train and wandered around and.. oh what was she thinking? There was no logical reasoning as to how she got to where she was but she as hell wasn't going to be a war prisoner.

Andraste began to eat her food slowly. The girl was innocent enough, and seemed genuinely concerned. But Greeks were good at being deceptive. She was about to ignore her and just keep eating when she remembered that these weren't the barracks on the frontline. This was a public place. She couldn't make herself look rude and appear to be suspicious. She attempted to appear more relaxed, and smiled in a tired sort of way before saying, "Forgive me, ma'am. Its been a long few days. One moment I'm in a forest, the next I'm in a city." She took a moment to collect her thoughts. Next step, begin to get information. "I am Andraste. In all honesty, just being talked to helps a lot. I... thank you for your kindness." she continued with a smile. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw a most peculiar animal: a humanoid bird. Her lessons hadn't told her about that. Her hair stood up a bit, much like when she met Aleksandros, and she realized that it too was connected to a god in some way. Was it a servant? A daughter of some Eastern deity?

Mia ravenously devoured the jerky that the waitress offered. Hearing talk of payment, she hastily threw some coins on the table. She wasn't sure which one, as her eyes had began to fog up. It happened every so often when she was on the verge of transforming. Yet, for now, the food seemed to do the trick. As her skin settled down from it's strange, vibrating form, she focused back on the bartender, now speaking in a relieved voice.

"Oh. You look much different when I first saw you. Less appetizing." She suddenly blushed as the words escaped her, pressing a hand to her head.

"Uh... Wait, I didn't mean to say that..."

She sighed "Anyways... I never heard of these gods of gluttony... Or these 'eldritch' gods. Is this C'thulhu one of them?"

She tilted her head at a strange angle as she asked. There were still a few things off about her body.

Pausing for a moment she inhaled sharply, as if remembering something while interrupting her own words "OH! And do you know where I could find them? I was going to ask Ma'at but I'm just mortified... Hmm... Ma'atified?" She murmured to herself, dryly chuckling "Oh, that's terrible..."

She definitely seemed as though she had some sort of manic disorder in this well-fed state.

562727Ma'at nodded slowly, clearing her throat in an awkward pause as she thought about how best to approach this... interesting dilemma. "Right...," she began, looking away, "I suppose that she will be waking up soon, don't you think, Nadee?"

"As for who is responsible, we don't yet know. I suspect Zeus is behind bringing the people here early. He likes to be an ass. The people causing this little civil war, however... I wish I knew. This is neither the time nor place to talk about it, however. We are not going to cause panic. Now then, Lugh... if you wish to find your ward... I believe she's still in the theatre. She was knocked out by another demi-divine with chloroform. Mortals... such wonderous inventors... She was causing problems, picking fights. She had to be temporarily incapacitated or Konohanasakuya would have set everything on fire."

Meanwhile, Umakoti was busy at work.

"Yes, Cthulhu is one of the eldritch gods," she said, sighing inwardly. The strange physical attributes the girl had didn't seem to phase her. Rather, she was more annoyed that the girl didn't seem to have any idea of anything! What sort of idiots were the divine recruiting? "I'm surprised you don't know. The eldritch are found in various locations. You'd have to ask someone who gets out more, like Ma'at. Or, just pray to them and they might answer. They hear you, after all."

She moved off and retrieved food, swiftly placing the plates down at all the proper tables, only to run off again to the kitchen.

Alexander would find the book, Living Habits of the Hydra and the Basilisk: Unexpected Dissimilarities, to be a wealth of knowledge on both hydra and basilisks. The hydra is a serpentine creature with many heads that preferred to live in water. The book describes it as having extremely virulent blood whose scent could kill, as well as poisonous breath. The basilisk was a harder creature to define, as a number had fallen under the same name over the years. The dragon-like rooster with a deadly glance. The snake with venom so potent it would leave a trail in its wake and its gaze would kill. Even, occasionally, a lizard-like creature donned the name (though these are inaccurate). This book made the distinction but focused on the snake-like basilisk in its explanations.

The book described, as its title would suggest, unexpected dissimilarities between the two serpentine creatures. The obvious one being their choice of living area. The hydra, it explained, is a water creature and the basilisk a land creature. The basilisk, with its large size and cautiousness, prefers to live alone. It seeks out dark areas and has other habits that are surprisingly similar to your common snake. The hydra, on the other hand, acts somewhat like a strange dog. It is a curious creature that lives either alone or in a small pack. They are far more aggressive than your typical basilisk and fiercely defensive of their territory. They are, however, intelligent, and, unlike the basilisk, will come to care about people they trust. The basilisk doesn't really care about who or what something is, so long as it either leaves them alone or gives them food.

The hydras have the advantage of being extraordinarily hard to kill, so that has afforded them the luxury of being more aloof in their behaviours. The younger hydra may seek out villages, either unaware of their breath's deadliness, or uncaring of it, and attempt to play with the people and animals therein. It is unlikely you will ever see a snake basilisk so brash.

Adjrenna
Adjrenna had been waiting for a little while now. Her mother had heard the call and promptly vanished, only remaining long enough to tell her to be ready to answer her own call. Left to her own devices for the first time in her life she briefly considered trying to throw a party. She rather swiftly came to the conclusion that she firstly would have no idea where to begin, and secondly didn't really want to. So she spent the time much as she had spent the time before, training. She didn't really know what kind of weapons she would be called to use so she mostly just did strength and endurance training.

When the call actually came she almost didn't notice until the quake set her slightly off balance. She had actually managed to build up a solid sweaty exertion for once. She had had to run a marathon and follow it up with strength and agility training for a few hours, but it was nice to feel truly exerted. When the quake and the portal came she looked at it with some caution. This was either the call she had been expecting or a trap and she didn't have time to work out the specifics. Just in case she called out the War form as she hit the portal. Unfortunately this messed with the portal slightly because her aura suddenly went from a young demi-divine to a young demi-divine with a piece of a full Divine's major aspect right as she passed through it. The portal adjusted quickly but there was a disorienting delay.

When she came through she was in her full War as vicious joy form, a nine foot tall bipedal golden maned lion with glowing sun-yellow eyes. The sheer size meant that when she hit the ground she hit the ground hard with a mildly resounding crash that stirred up a decent amount of dust. When it cleared she was standing up in her human form and looking around. She hadn't seen much as she fell but she had definitely not seen much that resembled an ambush. She went to brush herself off but unfortunately a thin sweat soaked top and shorts combined with just being generally sweaty meant she was now quite thoroughly caked with dirt. She then tried to take a deep breath and promptly doubled over coughing. Getting the wind knocked out of her earlier with that much dust in the air had proven less than healthy, with her new lungful of dirt.

Bit short for a first post I know but I couldn't decide what exactly I wanted to do with it so I decided to just yeet her through the portal with an excuse for the delay and see what happens. Plus considering her character it was unlikely she was up to much that would make for a longer post.

563336"No offense at all, but I'm not really sure I trust blessed food. I don't know anything about. Is it even edible to humans?" Zekera questioned, biting her lip at the internal question that followed. Were they even really human? They were half human if Ma'at and her mother were to be believed... and at this point, she had no reason to not believe. She just didn't know for sure what that meant for her morality.

The angel smiled sweetly and chuckled, showing them to their seats, "Non-blessed it is. I'm pleased to hear you worry about something like that. Given the state of things, and what you lot are going to be brought into, a bit of caution will go a long way. Our Heavenly Father will not get involved either way and therefore neither will his angels... so you're safe in a place like this. Other restaurants? Given that we don't know who can be trusted and who cannot... I worry for those who may be hurt."

"Right, now then, given you're new to the city, I'd like to offer you something special - something I doubt you've ever had on Earth," she grinned a little mischievously, setting a wine bottle on the table, "Angelic Ambrosia. The alcohol of the gods. Many pantheons have their own "varietals". Be mindful, though, it is a lot stronger and... warmer... than things you're accustomed to." She set down two menus as well as two glasses of water she materialized in her hands, followed by a bowl of crisp white puffs. The puffs tasted like crunchy, savory breadsticks, coated in garlic and herbs.

Interestingly, the menu lacked pricing, and was rather simple in design; black text on a white background, rimmed with golden embroidery along the edges.

563344She chuckled, stepping away for a moment while he ate with such voracity. When he was done, she returned, smiling a little at how much he left, "I appreciate you liked it so much. I'll make sure to tell them you enjoyed. As for Durga... She's actually a Hindu goddess. She presides over good, peace, prosperity... things like that. She's a warrior and a fierce motherly figure. I'm kind of entertained you thought she was some Zulu god."

"Regardless, she's nice enough I guess. It's not like I really talk to her or even see her. She's a creation goddess, so that comes with certain perks... but also certain downsides. She's massively busy all the time, and she can be pretty stern because of it. From what I hear, she expects a lot from the people around her, whether that's staff or kids or whatever. She'd probably be pretty good at keeping you safe though, so that's good I guess."

563347Andhrímnir sighed, a somber look donning his face. He nodded, "Indeed ya are. I'm sorry you've been brought inta somethin' like this all of a sudden. It's not fair... but then, life isn't fair, huh?" He went quiet for a moment, reflecting on something in the distance before he cleared his throat like the rusty bark of an older dog.

"Right. Ya want information," he started, fiddling with the sleeve of his shirt, "Problem is, there's a lot of people that don't trust ya. We just don't know enough about ya yet. I'd say the most nervous are probably the Japanese and the Egyptian, though. The Japanese have never really been the friendliest to outsiders, and the Egyptians aren't keen to trust strangers. They've had a lot going on amongst themselves. Personally, as far as the people who are actually starting this fight, I have a few people I suspect. I don't trust Zeus. I don't trust Loki. I don't trust a lot of those big name gods that feel the need to flaunt themselves. At the same time, though he's not always the kindest, I trust Odin with my life. Ma'at, Dionysus, Nyx, Ra, etc... I trust them. They don't seem like the type that'd wanna start over the world, ya know?"

"I beat the fascist menace three dozen times, I'm sure I can get through this just fine. And as my father said, 'Life is hard, and then you die.' Aleksandros began. He soaked in the information like a sponge, connecting the threads, matching his knowledge of history with the information received. Indeed, the Japanese did shut themselves away from the world for hundreds of years until the Americans came along. And Egypt was always distrustful of outsiders, from the Greeks after Alexander to the British nowadays. Though that didn't stop them from taking every sort of the job they could get their hands on. When he heard about Zeus and Loki being less than thonest, that didn't surprise him either. Who would trust a god that had screwed more mortals than there were gods in Olympus? Or a literal trickster god. He sighed and continued, "Seems like the power struggles of the mortal world have leaked into here. Or maybe its the other way around."

'Ask of Athena.' a soft, motherly voice instructed. It was a compelling voice. Always had been, had a strange feeling they always would be.

"The more I hear about this, the more it reminds me of the ole Peloponnese Wars. Is there anything else you can tell me about this entire mess?" he asked. "And what can you tell me of Athena?"

Michiel was a bit shocked, he had to confess. He didn't expect to stay with a Hindu deity. But he quickly recovered and smiled. If she could fight and take care of people, she was a good choice. And she liked hard work. Michiel was used to that. He had spent countless days by the forges and junk yards, creating just about everything. Work was his life, but he was used to it and enjoyed it. "Sounds like a wonderful lady." he said gleefully. "So, ma'am, we've talked a lot about myself. Now, please, tell me about yourself."

563577She smiled again, nodding, "Right. I should have thought about that. You've all been brought here rather serendipitously, huh? Though, not necessarily in a good way. There must be so much on your mind. My name is Elina. I'm rambling though. I'll leave you to your food."

Elina looked up then, seeing Accalia near the doorway. Her smile grew and she clasped her hands together, walking up to her, "Accalia! Nice to see you again. It has been a little while. Do you want your usual food, or should I get you a menu?" She ran off to do/get what was requested before returning with a pitcher of water, "Have you been up to anything interesting? Any missions from Lady Artemis of late?"

(( Kyrenka Kyrenka ZuluSlayer ZuluSlayer Sorry it's kinda short.))

"Thank you, Elina." Andraste said. As she left, Andraste released a sigh of relief, as if she had passed part of some impossible challenge. She had successfully began to intergrate, or perhaps inflitrate, the populace. She had a cover story set up, and now all she needed to do was blend in. That would be tough for a socially inept warrior. She began to slowly eat her food, acting as if she savoured every bite. In truth, she wasn't even hungry. The Divine never were. But that strange newcomer was a possible threat. The waitress revealed key facts about it. Its name was Accalia, and was evidently connected to Artemis. This suggests a Greek origin, that she was trusted by her, and had combat prowess. Furthermore, Accalia was warmly welcomed by Elina. Interesting. Andraste continued to eat, keeping her eyes down, ears open, and mind ready.

Mia slowly blinked like a distracted schoolchild as Umakoti made mention of the Eldritch deities. However, as she went away to collect more plates, Mia opened her mouth to speak before catching her tongue. Maybe she should take the waitresses advice and ask Ma'at... Or maybe even pray? She had come from a world where her teachings of the divine were limited. Only raised in a nearly lawless sea-shanty town. She would try it later today... But she had to be alone to do it obviously. She hated praying alone. She hated being alone. A position that her cursed forced on her often. Finally working up the courage though, Mia decided she'd finally get some information.

Stumbling, the pale greyish woman walked up to Ma'at before performing a short bow.

"Good day, your highness... Or uh..."

She stammered, not sure what the correct honorific was. No matter anymore. Straight to the point.

"I've heard much talk of this... 'Creature of Cthulhu'. But I know nothing of it. Nor of this 'Cthulhu'. Not even of any of this eldritch stuff!"

She said in as polite a tone as she could manage. However, as she went on, her tone seemed aggravated and distorted, a light slip of her true self.

564121~Artemis~
"Ahh... you're one of the demigoddesses then. Well, to put it simply, there was a portal you fell through. This is the Realm of the Divine. I'm Artemis," the goddess explained as though she was explaining something as simple as how to boil water, all while smiling apologetically at the girl, "A bus or train station probably won't help you much here, unfortunately. That said, I have no issue with making sure you're sa-"

Her words were cut short by a lion-woman who fell through yet another late portal. Artemis thought to herself about the fact that she would kick her Father's ass for this mess if he was really responsible. The dust cloud the new woman kicked up was impressive, and by the time it settled, she was human again, hacking out a lung from the dirt. She was caked in the dirt she kicked up, and the woman she was just talking to who was drenched in water likely got a nice coating of dirt as well.

Artemis flicked her hand down like she was wiping something off of herself, all the dirt that had settled on her dropping off onto the ground at once. She cleared her throat to get the attention of the new woman, "Hello to you as well! Lucky me, two strong young women. I'm happy I found you instead of a god who might take advantage of your confused state. Now then, I ask anew, are both of you alright? Did the fall hurt you? And... welcome to the Realm of the Divine. I know you're both bound to be confused, but I want you to know you may house with me should you choose to. I'll explain more once we get you both cleaned up and situated."

Xander frowned as he closed the book. Yikes. He had expected the creatures to be dangerous, but the hydra seemed worse than the balsalik since they were very poisonous and a little too friendly. The information was very useful though, and could come in handy. Eyeing the other books on the shelves, the brunet stood up and made his way back over to them. He carefully replaced the book he had finished back into its proper spot and hesitated. I could probably read another book. We can choose when we want to turn in for the day. So many titles stood out to him, but it was probably best to learn more about the deities here. Maybe one of them will have information on one of the gods housing students. Who were they again? Thor, Zeus, Loki....Amaterasu? Zeus was a sky deity, but was Thor one too? Hands hovering over Prayers to the Awe-Inspiring Sky Gods, Xander finally took the book from its spot and returned to his seat. Movement caught his eye, and the boy watched with interest as that weird girl, at least he thought it was a girl, from before approached Ma'at. He flinched as her voice got a little loud in frustration but did his best to ignore it. Ma'at is a goddess. She can handle whatever that girl is. Opening up his new book, Xander began to read as he slowly ate his food.

The demi-human smiled, or smiled as well as she could with a beak for a mouth, at Elina. "It's good to see you as well! I'll just have my usual, thank you." The 'usual' was just pastitsio with a glass of water. When she was out on a mission for Artemis, the huntresses would usually hunt and gather their own food which meant that they ate plenty of meat and raw fruits and vegetables. Food like pasta and cheese weren't practical, so it was a treat that she enjoyed when she could. Taking a seat across from the warrior, she watched as the young woman seemed hyper-focused on her food. She's not hiding her tension well. True, her form wasn't stiff and her face was blank but her movements were still too carefully executed to be casual. Soon enough though, Elina returned with a warm plate of pastitsio and a pitcher of water. That was one of the reasons why the Caladrius was so fond of Elina. Not only was she pleasant to be with and to look at, but she was also a hard worker and took her job seriously.

Carefully setting the dished onto the table, the young waitress began speaking again. "Have you been up to anything interesting? Any missions from Lady Artemis of late?"

Pouring herself some water with her prehensile wings, Accalia chirped brightly, "Lady Artemis let me visit my homeland recently. Partially to see if any of the girls that had come of age wanted to become huntresses and partially to let me visit my family. My sister has been driving my mother mad by finding the tallest ledge she can and then flying off of it. While I'm glad that she's finally learning to fly, her behavior is causing mother's feather to molt. As for the latest mission from Lady Artemis," Accalia paused in order to glance at the blonde woman across from her. A eager gleam shone in her eye as she said, "I've been assigned to be a teacher for the summoned heroes." The Caladrius gauged the warrior for a reaction, before turning her gaze back to Elina. "Although, it's still a little uncertain of what I'll be teaching. Survival skills, that's for sure, and possibly combat but not every teacher has been gathered yet and since we are now pressed for time I may or may not end up teaching more." Picking up her utensils, Accalia carefully took a bite of her pastitsio and beamed at the waitress. "It's delicious as always Elina!"

Scion of The Morrigan

Desmond starred across the top of his cards at the men gathered before him, each greedily eyeing the growing pile of rations and smokes at the center of the table. He wouldn't even have to conjure a hidden card to win this one; his streak of poor luck would come to an end with this hand! Dropping his cards on the table with a wide grin he started, “Sorry lads, I'll be taking...” before the entire room began to shake. One of the men sprung up in panic yelling something about the darned krauts while another dove under the table. Desmond, being who he was, made a move to grab the stockpile of goods before a sudden sense of vertigo set in. The young man disappear into a green glowing portal with a yelp, chair and all.

While the portal did not lead to a forge oven or worse, it did dump the dark haired man near the feet of Artemis, Adjrenna and Hotaru in an unceremoniously rain of playing cards, coins and canned rations. He blinked several times before gathering himself and cautiously regaining his feet. “Charming, friends of the old crow I presume? Didn't think she had any...” Having never met another magician or deity aside from his own mother made it easy to suspect her, whether or not she was actually involved in his unexpected summoning. “Desmond, involuntarily at your service.” he introduced himself with a bow that was as much courtesy as attempt to swipe some of his belongings off the floor.

Having gotten over his initial surprise he realized that out of the trio in front of him only one looked at ease while the other two seemed perhaps a bit lost, much like himself. Hiding his rising confusion behind the facade of a relaxed smile Desmond added, “Guess I shouldn't complain, this place is lot nicer than the ones I'm usually invited to.”

Andraste quietly watched the bird-woman talk to the waiteress. Unlike her, she was a natural. She could carry on a conversation, be social, be liked. She had stories to tell, and so much more. Everything she lacked. But she knew some things though. She wasn't so incompetent that she couldn't figure out why someone was visiting her. "I suppose you are here to talk to me then." Andraste said, seeing herself into the conversation. "From what I know of Artemis, she had a cabal of handmaidens that served her. And based on her little speech in the theater, she wants to expand it again." Kyrenka Kyrenka

" Lugh sighed apologetically before he pulled a flask out chugging it before setting it down. " So mr. lightning did it...seems like him, still with how showboaty he was i'm surprised he wasn't there demanding they bow to him for taking the kiddos there.... " he stretched some, Zeus that arrogant jerk, just how much does he think he can disturb with other gods? Furthermore whats even with this plan? Get a bunch of kiddies to fight for the gods? they probably don't even know how to fight, nowadays fights are all guns and explosions, no hand to hand..... He turned to Ma'at before adding " well... i'm here, you gotta bunch of kids that probably don't know how to fight. And a god sitting in front of you known for fighting prowess and leading. Sign me up as a teacher!" He boldly said aloud

The only thing a gentleman can do in this situation would be to pay for both of their meals. " So Zekera... what do you think of this whole fiasco? Quite overwhelming if you ask me~"

Hotaru Igarashi (蛍 五十嵐) - 19 - Student

As the women explained the situation to her, Hotaru couldn't help but be a bit doubtful and confused about the words that she spoke. Of course, thinking back, her father is a god so she technically is part god but that part never really clicked with her. For most of her life, all she knew was that she was human, nothing less and nothing more. Hotaru expression couldn't have been anything close to happy or excited, more than likely on the questionable side of the spectrum.

Artemis' words were cut short as what it seemed to be a dust bomb exploded near by, coating both of them in a thin layer of particles but sticking straight onto Hotaru's damp skin especially so, leaving her looking muddy and once again, confused. The dust soon settled, tickling her nose and causing her to let out of sneeze. Trying to get her wits in order, she glanced over at the direction of the dust and there stood a fairly strongly built woman with tanned skin, hacking up the dust that she conjured up. Oh ok, yea. Sure. A woman lion person appears out of nowhere. Normal. Awesome.

Artemis began speaking again, something about finding us before someone else could take advantage of us and making sure that we were both intact in this new "Realm of the Divine" and getting cleaned. Although, glancing down at herself, perhaps a good washing up would be for the best. The graininess of the dust and her damp skin wasn't the most pleasant of feelings. However, before any of them could even take a step forward, another body appeared in their own dramatic way. From the sky rained coins, cards, and.. a scruffy-looking man.

Oh wow, another stranger, just what I was wishing for. Oh life, you shouldn't have. Hotaru's sarcastic thoughts ran wild once more, using this moment of disorientation once more to examine both the woman and the man. Jeez, she had never felt so small before being surrounded by two strongly-built bodies. "Uh.. huh" Managing to let out a short response to the man's last comment, grabbed a queen of spades card as it floated down from the sky like a leaf from a tree.
