It had been fifteen years since x791, that fateful year when rogue let the dragons come through the eclipse gate and destroyed the world...


It is now x806 where wizards and people have come together just to survive the dragons' rage and power. but it is a new time of heroes as well! Natsu and others have passed on the torch to save the land. The tale begins when our two most powerful heroes meet and begin to save the land by uniting to battle zeref. Will we survive thanks to the guild where everything begins.


HiddenZen is a guild for wizards and normal people alike. People see refuge and safety here and that is exactly what they get. HiddenZen will forever be their safe haven.

Aridan looked around and yawned "Is today a good day... or a bad day... we'll see" as he leap down off a tree he was perched on landed feet first on a small dragon that was hunting him. he used his water dragon's fists of fury to knock its brotherin away before sprinting off deeper into the forrest. "YAhhhhhooo!!!" he yelled as he ran through a giant hollow tree log that looked bigger then a tunnel, he jumped off the side to the ceiling and then sling shotted right into a waiting dragons hand. he sighed and said "yep bad day..." as he tryed to struggle free and kept yelling "Let go of me ya over grown bastard!!" as he tried hopelessly to get free.

Hayse strolled along down a dirt path in the forest. He'd been walking around for a couple of hours now but hadn't ran into any dragons...luckily.


"Hey!" He turned to see an older girl with bright yellow eyes like his and almost white hair running towards him. "Mimi-" Hayse started but she'd already grabbed his arm and started to pull him down the path. "I gotta show you something!" She said as they ran a long. There was something Mimi had found that she wanted to show her young friend, he'd love it! As she ran she came to the back of a big dragon. Immediately she stopped and took a step back, then heard someone shout. She looked up to see someone who she couldn't quite make out. "I gotta help.." She mumbled as she pushed Hayse behind a bush. She pulled out one of her swords and jumped through the trees. She used the momentum to launch herself into the air and slice into the arms of the dragon making it go limp.

Aridan fell as something cut the dragon's arm once he hit the ground and used the momentum to jump back up to combine both his elements as he use his special fist move he used the water to form a giant fist and the ice to increase its toughness and struck the dragon yelling "The Ice Giants FROZEN Fist!!!" The ice fist broke and crumbled after it sent the dragon flying. He land next to the two and asked "Thanks for the help... um... who are you two?" He dusted his pants and checked his clothes to see a rip in his shirt sleeve. he tore it off the rest of the way revealing a "Z" encased in ice.

(Sorry I had to sleep. It was so late)


Mimi had landed and sheathed her sword, she'd watched as this mysterious person jumped back up and struck the dragon. Well, that was easy enough...she guessed. Not all dragons were so easy but that wasn't as big as they come. She smiled and nodded, "No problem." She replied then looked back to Hayse, "My name's Mimi and this is Hayse." She smiled as she said this and Hayse took a step forwards. The guy ripped part of his shirt off revealing a 'Z' on his arm. Where had she seen that before? Was he from the HiddenZen guild? She'd met quiet a few regular people from that guild but never a wizard, it would be very interesting if he was from the guild.

"The names aridan... well gotta head back to the headquarters... i'm sure the guildmaster will be thrilled that i picked a fight with some dragons..." he emphsized the *thrilled* with disgust and walked toward a cavern entrance and looked back and said "Safe haven's this way... we have several i'm surprised you are not in one already... well follow me to safety." he walked down the tunnel holding up a frozen torchbug to light the way. As he walked he went through a a ruck sack he carried with him and pulled out two apples tossing one to hayse and one to mimi. then he pull started eating some ice cubes from a cooler bag as he walked.

"Nice to meet you Aridan." Mimi bowed her head slightly in greeting, Hayse stood back as if studying this guy. He always had been very wary about new people and this occasion was no exception. He was a bit shocked when Aridan told them to follow him to HiddenZen. He didn't want to be in a guild, he never had done. Mimi nodded and followed, she could handle herself pretty well and had never had the need for a guild but it might be cool to check one out, Hayse didn't look very keep on it. "You're just going to follow this guy?" Hayse hissed at Mimi. Mimi just smiled and nodded, "Even if it is a trap I can handle myself pretty well, so can you." In mid sentence she caught both of their apples and placed one in Hayse's hand. "Now eat up," She mumbled biting into her apple, "I know you haven't eaten all day."

He approached a giant metal door and placed his hand on the scanner and spoke into the microphone "Aridan Slade, A-rank wizard, special code: Frozen Giant Dragon" after he was finished the panel turned from yellow to green and said "Welcome back dragon slayer Aridan" and then the door creaked and groaned as it slid into the ground, opening to a underground headquarters with some potted trees in places and people moving to and from certain spots carrying paper or bags. There was a short old man standing at the door eyeing aridan and then shouted "You started another fight with some dragons didn't you aridan!!!" aridan replied in a carefree tone "Isn't that what dragon slayers are supposed to do? Master Crock? They were nearing the entrance and were scouting the area... oh by the way i found more survivors..." As he walked off toward a doorway that said *Kitchen* above it. Master crock a man that looked like a normal old and short man noticed the two and said "Welcome!! sorry about him hes always doing his own thing... Trying to find the remains of his dragon friend... he doesn't even have a exceed like the noble natsu has... but natsu and gajeel and happy all recremended him before going off to fight the dragons again... anyways make your self at home." as he charged off to make a report on Aridan.

Mimi smirked just slightly, she liked this way of getting into places. It surprised her that the doors let through dark wizards like Hayse though. Yes, that is the truth, Dark Wizard guilds still exist and Hayse used to be part of one. Of course this was because he was born into it, he left not soon after his parents died.. Mimi had found him and taken him in. "They really do have a high security door here don't they." She mumbled as she threw away her apple core before entering the building. It was very nice indeed and she was too busy looking in awe at everything to pay attention to the guild master's and Aridan's little argument. She had only noticed that Aridan had walked off when an expressionless Hayse nudged her on the shoulder. He didn't like it did he? Well, the boy didn't like change so she'd expected it. She nudged him on the shoulder and smiled, "Lighten up Hayse." She mumbled before turning to the guild master. "It's very nice to meet you." She replied. Natsu and Gajeel, she'd heard of them. Hayse scowled as he heard their names. Mimi turned her head to look down and his and shook it, "Not here." She muttered and looked at the apple in his hand. "You gonna eat that?" She asked before stealing it and taking a bite then following after where Aridan had gone off to.

Aridan rummaged through the kitchen and pulled out full meat platters and scarfed then down without a seconds notice. At times he'd just pull out huge blocks of ice and devoured the whole thing not even paying attention to the things around him. when he finished eating the twentieth thing he ate and the tenth giant ice block he laid down on the counter and stared at the ceiling deep in thought. Then he got up and walked out to the main hall he was just at and walked right up to what looked like a memorial for natsu and gajeel he looked long and hard as he said to himself "I'll make you guys proud... I promise." he put his fist to his chest and his head down like he was in prayer.

Mimi sighed and looked around, she'd been watching Aridan for awhile now as he ate a lot. Hayse rolled his eyes as he watched the older male, how much did this guy eat? How was he not fat?! Mimi turned to Hayse and laughed slightly with a happy smile. She had hung around for a few minutes after Aridan had left, where was he going now she wondered. She moved past Hayse and followed him noticing he stopped at a memorial for Natsu and Gajeel. "You better do good then," she mumbled as she stood behind him, "Those guys really are amazing. Can you become like them?"


Hayse looked at the memorial as if he wanted to break it, he didn't seem to like it one single bit but he had his reasons. He didn't show it too much though, just a little.

Aridan looked up from his silent prayer he sighed and said "They helped me and my master when we were fleeing from the other dragons..." he sighed he then looked at a picture that was label Xeroz The ice Dragon and sighed again then he said "All three of them trusted me with the future and i don't even know where to begin..." he sighed once more and walk to a hallway that said Sleeping quarters he stopped at the doorway and looked back and asked "hayse... I can see your aggravated but why?"

Mimi nodded, "The lady who taught me magic, she told me about them." She smiled and looked at Aridan as he changed his view to a dragon. Was that his dragon or.. She didn't know. She thought he would just walk off without saying anything but Aridan turned back around and asked Hayse why he was aggravated. Before Hayse could answer Mimi cut in, "You're experiences with these two heroes are not the same as Hayse's." She told him. Hayse sighed and looked down at the ground, he hadn't had any experiences or ever heard anything that suggested that Natsu and Gajeel were good but Mimi seemed to respect them.

Aridan Sighed and said "They only produce bad meetings if... one he was part of a dark guild or two he was in a area where they got out of hand... I'm not gonna ask which because dark guild guilds are having a hard time surviving too... plus I don't really care cause I have to deal with bigger problems... the dragons for one and rebuilding fiore for two..." he sighed again tossed two keys to mimi that were for they're rooms and walked off to bed for the day.

Mimi just nodded, "Yeah," she replied, "I guess everyone is having a hard time with the dragons and everything." She'd coughed slightly and then caught the keys. "I wonder if they really are how my teacher described them.." She turned, handed a key to Hayse and walked off to find her room. She couldn't be bothered with walking anymore. Hayse had liked being at the dark guild, it had been interesting but at the same time he hadn't liked it. He took the key and headed of aswell.

The next day


Aridan got up and walked to the kitchen and had a banana. when he was finished eating he sat down in the main operations room an dosed off again.

"Are you gonna wake up sleepy head?" Mimi asked as she looked down at Aridan. She'd gotten up early and had been helping out the guild. Hayse leaned against a wall nearby.

Aridan yawned rubbed his eyes then sighed and said "I hate mornings..." he then got up and trudged over to the assignment board grabbed the one that said *check on other bases*. after he looked it over he grabbed a bag of supplies then walked over to the main gate. opening it before walking through heading out of the underground base slowing yawning all the way out.

Mimi nodded, "I guessed." She said with a small giggle. She then followed him out to the notice board and to the front gate. "Hey!" She called running up to him, "Can we come with you? I mean we have nothing better to do and I've never been in a guild in my life so I'd like to learn how it works. Ya know, get some experience and all that. I was always told it was good to learn from others." Hayse followed her and watched her converse but didn't join in.

Aridan yawned once more and said "Sure but what i'm doing is making sure the other guild protection sites are alright... least that's all i know at the moment... grab two more supply bags i'll wait outside the cave entrence." he then walked further down the tunnel with gusto and waited at the entrance looking at the map.

"Ok!" Mimi exclaimed turning to Hayse, "Let's grab the stuff." She walked back inside with him and went to grab the supply bags. Hayse slung one over his shoulder and Mimi strapped hers to her waist. She then grabbed Hayse's wrist and started to run, she had to let go though because the younger boy quickly over took. "Damn you!" She shouted speeding up and then tumbled out of the entrance. Hayse ran out swiftly and grabbed a branch to stop himself.

Aridan caught mimi as she tumbled out he then set her on her feet and look at the map again silently muttering only a few words could be heard "cute" and "maybe.." he then sighed as his flushed cheeks returned to normal and he said "Looks lik our first stop is just outside of where fiore and seven meet..." he then walked the opposite direction of where fairy tail would be.

Mimi blushed and nodded in thanks as Aridan caught her. Hayse just crossed his arms and sighed, "Are we going or what?" he muttered. Mimi nodded, "I'm good with going there so lets go!2 She exclaimed punching her fists in the air and laughing slightly.


"You're too excitable Mimi." Hayse told her as he watched the older girl act like a little child, "Grow up!"
