Noticeable characteristics:
Siren has a light Russian accent, that can get heavy when he gets frustrated or aggravated. He also Harbors a slight case of Albinism which causes his eyes to have a red pigment to them as opposed to more common eye colors. One other thing to note of is his rather short fused temper.

Abilities:
Can summon and manipulate fire, as well as control the light around him to cause either a blinding brightness or an impenetrable dark.

Personality:
Siren is rather bold and albeit overconfident, to the point that more often than not he gets himself in trouble for running his mouth. Not that it matters as if it isn’t his mouth, he tends to egg people on and talk shit to the point of causing brawls and barfights. (he enjoys the occasional stiff drink okay?) He lives for the thrill of a fight and isn’t afraid of anyone. On top of all of this, he tends to be rather cold hearted and cruel to people he doesn’t know or doesn’t trust. But if you get to know him and warm up to him he can be a very caring and surprisiny kind person. One quick way to his heart however is good food, as he loves to eat.

Backstory:
Siren first discovered his ability to control fire at the age of eight when he about burned down his home in St. Petersburg, Russia. Both his mother and father thought it best to hide the boy from the outside, as due to the many crime syndicates and mobs in Russia Siren was a great risk to being abducted. He was from then on home school and confined to the walls of his home until his parents could finally got the money to send him all the way to the facility. During this period of time, Siren did his best to father any and all information on the world around him. Learning various customs from around the world as well as how to speak English and Spanish. Siren also excelled in mathematics and was already learning calculus before he had to leave.

Finally at the age of fourteen, his parents attempted to smuggle him out of the country to the unknown location of the Adept Protection Facility. Unfortunately, they had been watched for the past week and were intercepted by the Volks (Wolfs), one of the largest mobs in all of Russia, where Sirens parents worst fears were realized as their little boy was taken from them. In the years to come, instead of being subject to being turned into some kind of weapon for them. Siren was used as entertainment for the mob. In a sort of gladiator type setting, he was forced to battle with the toughest of ruffians from the streets.

For three years he fought and murdered, honing in his flame abilities as well as learning how to manipulate the light around him. Eventually it became less of a he’ll for him and more of a past time activity. Siren eventually loved and lived to fight. He’d spend his spare time making himself stronger and training, which resulted in himself developing his large stature. Eventually however, he got bored and decided to make his escape from the underground fighting ring he was contained in. At the age of seventeen, he packed up the few possessions he had before blinding everyone around him and sneaking away. Deciding it best to get the proper training on his abilities, he set off for the location of the facility which is where his story begins.

I've actually implemented a few fields to add more information in my own cs but I just thought having a general skeleton would also be nice for those who may not work as well building it from the ground up.
 
Name: Hana Rys

Noticeable characteristics: Her voice is quite melodic and soft making her very recognizable. Appearance wise there's nothing that stands out about Hana, other than perhaps the fact that she needs glasses but not to the point where she depends on them to be able to see.

Abilities: Illusion manipulation and creation. This is basically causing a target to experience their worst fears or some soft of trauma or, in case of needing to be defensive it can be used to camouflage the user and alter their physical appearance.

Strengths: A single look at a person and she'll probably have most of your face memorized. This makes it easier to alter herself to look more like an individual and although there can be a few errors from afar you probably wouldn't even notice.

Weaknesses: While her illusions may seem powerful they take a lot out of her. The more realistic and the longer an illusion is, the more draining it is. This could lead to Hana being unable to do much (except maybe run or hide) while she recovers her energy. Another big flaw in her powers normally come after her illusion has ended, since, normally her target comes out of the illusion with much more rage than before. And finally Hana obviously has to be very concentrated for her powers to fully work, otherwise there'll be many obvious flaws with her illusions.


Personality: When at first you look at Hana some would probably find her to be shy. In reality she's just quiet, actually far from shy. If she has something to say there's no doubt she'll speak up and be as blunt as she can be. If she thinks something is stupid then she'll very openly say it and fight you on why it is stupid. However she also has her friends, or an ability to make friends, although admittedly she ends up pissing people off rather than attracting them but she kind of prefers it that way. A small group of friends and an appreciation for the quiet moments in life compose music for Hana's ear. This makes it especially hard to connect with people who are loud or even as blunt and opinionated as she is. She prefers the quiet ones of the group above anyone else, though that could change depending on the person.

Backstory: Hana grew up in a small family of four being composed of her two parents, her younger sister and herself. They lived in Japan up until she was three where they promptly moved to America. It was here when at five years old she began having unsettling dreams that eventually all added up the day she was able to hide herself from her family for a good number of hours, when they thought she had been kidnapped. She didn't have trouble controlling her powers, mostly because she couldn't fully activate them until she had mastered alteration which she normally practiced while in front of her mirror changing into her school friends. It was while she was practicing in front of a mirror that she was able to cast an illusion onto herself and ended up terrorized by her new found abilities. It took some weeks for her to get over it (along with her sisters complements) but she finally got back into using her powers but up to a certain point she knew there was nothing more she could learn to do so on her own and secretly always longed for some sort of mentor that could show her how to better control and perfect her abilities.

Ever since Hana's family found out about her powers she feels as if she were disabled. Her parents don't quite understand how to connect with her or in what ways her abilities change their family dynamic. The truth is they don't. Her powers while having certain repercussions were never something that put her in danger, (at least, aside from the first scare she had but she never really told anyone about that) so she saw no reason as to why they would treat her differently, as if she were a fragile piece of glass and could shatter at any given moment. Or maybe it was the opposite. As if she were dangerous, as if she could and would use her abilities on her parents. Hana would never dare use her powers on her parents and if they ever thought she would ever think of it she'd be deeply hurt. Luckily she never had the guts to ask so the whole situation was promptly avoided.
However there was still a twinge of bitterness she had for them which she'll never be able to fully let go of.


With all the tension Hana had at home she knew she couldn't stay there forever. Sure she had been pretty good at keeping her powers hidden and even if more people knew she wasn't sure who exactly would be interested in catching a shapeshifter and a nightmare-maker but she still wanted more. She knew she'd been given a gift and she felt it was her responsibility to make the best out of it. With this in mind she was set on the path to the academy for gifted youth.

Noticeable characteristics: If one were to pay attention the young man's gaze, they would be able to notice visible arcs of active electricity in their eyes. When highly stressed, angered, or even excited, his veins glow a bright electric blue as the energy contained within them builds up.

Abilities and strengths: As one could guess, Tarryn is capable of electric manipulation. Their body alone acts as a conduit of sorts to store and produce energy and even when positioned nowhere near a source of electricity, the young man can harness the charge of atoms in the air for his own personal use. Additionally, if electrocuted or exposed to high voltage areas, perhaps even a stormy day, the young mans power can increase substantially, just the same as Ezro.

  1. With their body constantly stimulated by their energy, Tarryn has superior enhanced physical capabilities ranging from speed, agility, reflexes and strength to higher physical durability and endurance. They are even able to take a substantial beating compared to normal individuals and a variety of injuries before he must fall back from a fight to recuperate. These physical enhancements help him greatly in combat but even in everyday life.

  2. Electrical manipulation: Tarryn is capable of manipulating the energy his body stores and sources around him to form varying attack methods and defensive outlets, his control over this is still partially unstable and they need to perfect their form but overall he's rather efficient. In addition, the young man can use their ability to manipulate the charged atoms and “fly”. It works one of two ways, they could either follow a power line and use the electricity from there to fly, OR they can form charged atoms around him in a sort of pulse field and carry him away. So while it’s not true flight, it’s manipulation of the physical world, it serves its purpose. They're not quite good at it yet, only able to maintain a minute or two of flight before they lose control.

  3. Electronic Bypass: Tarryn is capable of bypassing varying electronic systems by sending an EMP through them and disabling the system. And or they can charge a system by sending an high voltage electric pulse. Just don't ask him to charge your phone.

  4. Magnetic Pulse Field: Tarryn possesses the ability to form an almost negatively charged magnetic field around him that acts as a shield of sorts. It’s capable of stopping bullets and repelling melee attacks among other things. But as of right now, the young man can only project this shield around himself and in a weakened form. Tarryn feels though that with proper practice and training, they will be able to form it elsewhere to protect others and increase its strength, perhaps even use it to stop much bigger objects or projectiles at high speeds.

  5. At the risk of his own well being, Tarryn can use his energy to heal others wounds if not too severe. They can’t help broken bones or severed limbs, but lacerations, heavy bruises, internal bleeding and other such ailments, the man can help others recover from those. This ability is a last resort to taking care of fallen allies as it drains them of their energy rather quickly.

  6. ???: A state of mind and technically being that they had promptly decided to label as “Voltrian.” In this state, Tarryn loses their control over themselves and his full power is released, he becomes severely unstable though and eliminates his opponents with little remorse and thought. This state of mind and being is only brought about by the young man suffering from severe rage or fear. Once his Voltrian stage has passed, Tarryn typically passes out due to physical exhaustion and low levels of energy as this stage and the efforts gone through put heavy stress on their body and deplete his energy stores. It’s his goal to be able to control this state of mind, but success in that aspect is far from close.

  7. Levitation: Something he's currently attempting to work on perfecting is using his ability of magnetic control to pick up items into the air and either throw them around of stack them neatly. It's highly unstable and he needs to work on it, but the biggest item they can pick up currently is anything up to 100 pounds.


Weaknesses:

  1. Most of Tarryn’s abilities require them to use their energy stores and if not close to a nearby source of electricity within 75 yards to siphon from, it will take them time to siphon from the atoms surrounding him and produce more electricity.

  2. If their energy stores run low or are depleted, the young man can pass out or become lethargic and slow, as his energy acts as a literal power source for him.

Personality: Tarryn is an overall confident and charismatic character, they always enjoy talking and joking with others. They are a rather well spoken young man and get along with most unless some form of issue arises between him and another. He doesn’t hold grudges, but if you happen to do something to make them mad, expect them to do something about it. Though typically that is just them trying to calmly talk it out, if the person continues to aggravate them, Tarryn will typically just electrocute them to a small degree once fed up. Though on the opposite side of the spectrum, when the situation requires it of him, Tarryn can be a serious and well thought out individual. He's also quite protective of those he cares for, considering they no longer really have a family. Tarryn doesn't want to lose anyone close to him anymore. But even just those who have no one to care for them, he gets protective of. They try their best to make sure everyone is happy and gets along, even if it is hard.


Backstory: Tarryn lived a relatively normal life with their family until he was 14. He was a well educated child, on the school gymnastics team and took Muay Thai outside of school. They had a well formed social life and were liked by many and was more mature for their age compared to others. He enjoyed art as well, and loved being able to let his mind run wild and put his minds creations onto paper.

Before the age of 14, Tarryn had little idea of the power he possessed. There were times when his power would make small displays, like them being able to zap a fly, or feel energized when near outlets in his home and even a subtle glow when they were excited or stressed, but overall it was relatively unknown. Though once he turned 14, it all changed for quite a simple reason, he was helping his father fix an outlet in their house when Tarryn was electrocuted. But instead of their body cooking like a normal humans, Tarryn’s began to absorb it, manipulate it.

Their body had become a conduit and caused a power outage in the neighborhood at the suddenness of so much electricity being taken in. It was then that Tarryn’s power showed itself. His veins pulsed bright blue with the energy stored inside him, and their eyes showed the electricity within. Tarryn’s parents feared for the young boy and for a year had their child hide his powers. He took to it quite well, but insisted in harnessing his powers. They did not want to be afraid of themselves, they wanted to be able to control it. And so the boys efforts got him noticed by organizations he’d soon come to fear.

One such organization, known as the “Order of Trinity” and their soldiers known as the "Liberators" were intent on harnessing the powers of individuals such as him or alternatively eliminating them if if they proved too dangerous to control. Tarryn was defined as the latter….. And so one day when he and his friend Alex were practicing gymnastics at a local gym, an armed convoy of Liberators evacuated a 6 block area and 12 men disembarked with intent to execute Tarryn. Once inside, the Liberator operatives cleared the building, evacuating most people but in this ordeal, Alex suffered a bullet wound to the stomach once the soldiers found Tarryn began firing upon the boy. All they were able to do was grab their friend and run away, hoping to hide.

Amidst Tarryn’s fear of death and rage at his closest friend about to die, this is when Tarryn’s power showed a form like none other before. They blacked out and when he came back to reality, the Liberator operatives were all dead, their bodies fried and ripped apart. With Alex slowly bleeding out, Tarryn attempted to help their best friend, all while slowly losing their consciousness from exhaustion. It was then that Tarryn’s power showed a beneficial side and Alex’s wounds were stabilized. After that, Tarryn lost their consciousness amid their state of fear and rage. When he regained consciousness a total of 2 days later, the boy learned that he had been contained and transported to a facility purposed with protecting people just like him and others.

Now for 2 years Tarryn’s lived at the academy, honing his powers and learning to control them to a rather successful point. Though he’s still learning, they’ve got a much better mastery over their powers and have used them well.

Noticeable characteristics: has a large pure white patch on her back the looks like a folded pair of wings which is called a lako and which keeps her alive and well

Abilities: can use a white substance that comes out of her back and can make into anything she wants even if it's a simple ribbon to a cannon if she so wished

Personality: she is mostly distant and shy to others and due to her not being able to speak others see her as odd as she can sing just find when she wants. as she is mostly distant she is picked on and pushed around by bullies and even her own siblings, to others she doesn't seem to want to join in any activity or events that are going on around town or at any of the schools

Abilities:
Evolet has the ability to use Magical Glyphs imbued with different properties. She needs a free hand along with a short incantation to cast the glyphs and they only last for a limited amount of time making her combat style very fast. She may cast them on floors or walls but always needs a surface to do so except for when using Impetu.

  • "Celeritas" Speed Glyph - Briefly enhances the speed of anyone who comes in contact with the glyph. It is Cerulean in color.​
  • "Levate" Lift Glyph - Allows anyone who comes into contact with the glyph to jump to great heights. It is Lavender in color.​
  • "Laqueus" Snare Glyph - Ensnares anyone who comes into contact with the glyph using magic tendrils. It is Black in color.​
  • "Impetu" Force Glyph - It exerts a large amount of force on any object or being that comes into contact with it, pushing them away. Objects may also pass through it to increase the force with which it moves Ex. Bullets may be made stronger and more piercing when passing through this glyph. This is the only glyph of Ell's that currently can be cast without a surface. It is White in color.​


Personality:
+Outgoing - Evolet enjoys talking with and meeting new people. She isn't shy about making herself known.
+Honest - She tries her best to always be honest with those around her but even she knows when it's better to hide the truth.
+Optimistic - Perhaps to a fault, Evolet keeps a hopeful and bright outlook on life and all it's curve balls.
+Confident - She believes in her self and her abilities, rarely second guesses a decision.
+Resilient - She's a fighter and doesn't back down easily

Backstory:
Truth be told Evolet doesn't have much of a backstory. She grew up in America with a pretty normal family life. Parents, two older siblings, nice house. They even have a dog. She began to exhibit signs of being a bit different in her early teen years. She would have dreams of these intricate runic circles all in different colors with brilliant designs. The dreams would leave her alone until she took the time to draw each of the circles out. Doing some research on her own, Evolet discovered that they were glyphs. Of course this meant nothing to her until one day she managed to use one without much effort. Celeritas was the first one she'd ever used - it happened during a gym class and she ended up run much much faster than she was supposed to. Those who saw it said it looked like she was in enveloped in a circle of cerulean light just before taking off from the starting point. It didn't take long to add two and two together. Evolet had something special, something that she would need help learning to use and control. Luckily for her there was just such an academy that could provide exactly what she needed. Her parents didn't hesitate to send her off.

Name: Savva Wolfe

Noticeable characteristics: When in Centaur form she has the lower body of a chestnut colored Arabian Horse. In human forms she looks pretty much like any other girl with slightly pale skin.

Abilities:
  • Centaur shift: She can shift into a centaur by will. She can only produce one coat color (chestnut brown) and will resemble an Arabian breed.
  • High speeds: In her centaur form she can reach up to 40 mph do to her horse legs.
  • Senses: Savva like a therapy horse can often feel other peoples emotions to a moderate degree, and somewhat read their expressions.
  • Fighter: As her lower body is that of a horse, she can easily kick and trample people over.
Weaknesses
  • Anxiety Sickness: If especially anxious Savva may become "trapped" in her centaur form since horses are associated with running away.
  • Spooked: If scared by someone or something she may go in a blind rage and and panic.
  • Severe Anxiety: Though not associated with her power, anxiety has effects on her shifting and power ability.
  • 2 Right feet: If in slippery or tile places, getting a grip on the floor will be harder.
  • Shifting season: Every 3 months Savva is forced to shift into her centaur form for a week.

Personality: Savva is a shy and observant girl. She likes to stay in the shadows of things, often feeling it best to "wait and see" what happens, before diving in head first. She is a workaholic and often stays hours after hours completing assignments, who ever this can very often leave her exhausted and stressed out. With strangers she may be sharp tongued, or quiet trying to keep to the back of the stage. However with friends she's a goofy silly, witty person who always has time for "horseplay" She has a tart tongue and an ironic sense of humor, however she usually stays sweet. She also had\s severe anxiety. Due to her unique power, she often hates people staring at her, it makes her unbelievably uncomfortable. Savva loves to take long rides in the woods, often getting up as early as 4 AM in the morning just for the taste of a run. She also is very jumpy, is you sneak behind her and scare her for some stupid reason she will either stumble around in a blind panic, or kick you, its really a draw.

Backstory:

Savva started out as a normal child, living a normal life, she had a brother and a loving mother. Life was hard for her in middle school, she was often picked on and teased for a being an anxious and quiet child. That all changed one day when she stumbled into a forest for a run. She loved to run you see, day or night, it really didn't matter to her. Anyways she stumbled across a dying old woman, and decided to tell the woman some stories to help her pass through peacefully. The lady grateful for the company decided to bestow a "gift" on her, and scratched her arm enough to bleed before she died. The scratch didn't heal, but Savva wasn't exactly worried she had gotten a lot of scars from hiking. A few weeks later though it started itch and discolor. She started to get worried now, but she didn't want to panic her household so she decided to keep it secret. In the night though, she had immense pain in her lower body, which kept up all night, she eventually told her mom she was going for a walk, and decided go into an old tree house. There she eventually passed out from pain. In the morning however she found herself in any body. Eventually she learned how to keep shifting under control, and it grew less painful over time. Her mother was at first panicked and avoiding of her, though eventually they grew close again. When she moved to her new house, her mother managed to find out about this school... Which would hopefully accept her...

Abilities: Alroy possess the power of Ice manipulation. This allows him to do a number of things including weather control, creating ice projectiles, (fragile) ice barriers and basic ice armor.

Strengths: While his defenses may not be his strong point Callow can certainly make for a good offense and can be quite agile when it's required.

Weaknesses: The creation of ice may depend on the amount of moisture available, so dry areas could make this difficult or impossible. Alroy's ice powers are also affected by everything that normal ice would be, although it's possible able to return the ice in its original shape. Of course, ice would melt under extreme heat and vibrations cause the ice to shatter. Alroy also has certain limits as he cannot fully freeze a person without it taking a surprisingly long amount of time and the fragile nature of most of his creations such as the previously mentioned ice barriers and ice armor. Lastly due to his strict nature he has a hard time thinking of creative and innovative uses for his powers.



Personality: Alroy Callow is a very strict, disciplined man. Despite this there is a certain compassion to the students attending the academy, preferring to take a more emotional approach when it comes to them.

ackstory: Alroy was born and raised into a family that didn't much appreciate people who had presented abnormal abilities so as you can guess, when his own powers began developing he was very reclusive about the whole matter. However there was one other person who could identify with him in one way or another, this being his lifelong friend Ezro Caldera. Frustrated with the injustice and prejudice against people like them both decided to make some sort of safe haven for people like them. Thus their academy was born and Alory found himself to be the co-founder of this very place.

Abilities: Ezro harbors the ability to control electricity at will. With it, not only can he summon it, but he can also use it to charge particles or metallic objects around him. He can project his voice this way, or even creating functioning electric traps.

It is rumored that he has a second ability, however no signs of that have ever been shown.

Strengths: his electric powers increase greatly on a stormy or cloudy day.

Weaknesses: If using his ability, like an electronic device, it is best for him to stay away from water. Otherwise he could very well end up frying himself.

Personality: unlike his more strict counterpart, Ezro is more laid back and relaxed about everything. More often than not he’s not the one enforcing the rules, Hell he even breaks them more often than most students do. One defining characteristic he has is that he has a pretty vulgar mouth, and never really watches what he says. (Don’t tell Alroy)

Backstory: Ezro was originally born in Spain, and there he was taught that the people being born into this world with abilities were freaking and nothing more. As a young child he believed it to be true, atleast that was until he discovered his own powers. Almost immediately after finding his abilities, his family disowned him and he was left to roam the streets. This didn’t last long, as once word got out about him he was hunted down by a mob with the intent to end his life as to “keep the motherlands bloodline true.”

It was from this moment on, Ezro became untrusting and uncaring of his regular human counterparts and wished he could be kept safe. After stowing away on a cargo ship, Ezro found himself in the United Kingdom where he met his longtime friend Alroy Callow. The two grew up and looked out for one another until they finally came of age and set out with one another with a dream of creating a haven for people like them. Decades later, they finally founded the academy.
