Hello! I'm a roleplayer of seven years but I am new to this site! I was wondering if anyone has advice to get me started into roleplaying on here!

For starters, do what you can to get ten posts outside of the roleplaying sections.
After that, go check the Interest Checks out. Make your own Interest Check, or express interest in someone else's.

I second Crow's post! Read Interest Checks, get a feel for how they are done and how they are formatted. Then post your own if you fancy it!
Also don't be afraid to jump into discussions either here or in General Discussion. You might find that talking to people OOC gives you a feel for them and what they are like, and that could form the basis of picking who you might want to RP with or chat to in the future. Try making a thread/replying to threads in General related to any fandoms you like.
Basically anything that involves or engages you on the site is good, with the exception of randomly PMing people with "Hey." or "Wanna RP?" Most people here are pretty nice and there's RP for every taste.
