It would depend on the finer points of your worldbuilding in regards to culture, but steampunk settings are usually Edwardian/Victorian, which means.... Lillian, as an upper class high elf could have some interesting notions on what is considered acceptable public displays of affection. Then you'd have to take into account fantasy racial tensions, if any, and also the whole "She told me she wasn't busy, but she kissed that man, so she clearly was, and now I have caused embarassment by imposing" thing, assuming the kiss is canon because Sir Monsieur hasn't replied yet.

We must also consider what would be the most hilarious reaction for other players to respond to, which is either that Lillian is AGHAST at such openly ribald behaviour (is this how the lower class lives?!), or she incorrrectly assumes that it is traditional to greet people with a kiss in this region (like in Italy).

Or maybe she's jealous, idk.
