Hey there everyone and welcome to my humble search thread! I’m looking for a few casual mxm roleplays. Because you see, I’m a “self-sufficient” adult now and the days of parking my ass in front of the computer to write a 1000+ word essay post are long gone. This search is for the laid-back roleplayers out there looking to have a good time.

What you can expect from me

I work full time but I make an effort to try and post every day. Sometimes it can take a few days for me to get back to you, but I’ll typically let you know if it’s taking me longer to get a post up.
As for post length, the least that I’ll give you is two paragraphs and I tend to aim for around three or four. For a sample of my writing, keep scrolling down.
I roleplay in private messages and discord (just ask!)
For those who find these not-so-handy-dandy labels useful: I play switches. For those who don’t, no worries. I don’t create my characters with these labels in mind at all.
Important note: This is probably gonna turn off a lot of potential partners but my interest evaporates the moment someone says that they want to play a submissive character. I don’t enjoy the stereotypical personality traits generally assigned to submissive characters. Sorry if that applies to you – I’d rather be upfront than waste anyone’s time.
I use drawn / illustrated face claims only. That doesn’t necessary mean anime style though - If that's not to your taste I'll make sure to keep my inner weeb under control (hah).


What I’d like from you

18+ roleplayers only. As much as I want to, I can't keep up with you young-uns.
I’d like posts at least every three days or so. If you reaaaaally want to spoil me, the more the better. I’m currently in the mood for roleplays with shorter posts & swifter responses. I can’t really handle one post a week; I tend to forget what’s going on.
Please be willing and eager to plot & brainstorm with me! I can’t stress this enough. Once you reach out to me about roleplaying, these plots / ideas aren’t solely mine anymore. Don’t be afraid to throw your ideas out there! Roleplaying is a collaborative effort and nothing gets me more pumped than a keen and excited partner.
Patience. I don't have access to my phone during work except for during breaks. So if I don't get back to you right away - don't stress!
Lemme know your thoughts on the roleplay. If you’re iffy with how things are going, I’m more than happy to change things up. Also, do give me a heads up if you want to drop the rp. I’m not going to be offended – if anything I’ll be genuinely grateful that you haven’t left me hanging.

LIFELINE [Pokemon x Apocalypse] STARTER AVAILABLE
I'm a long time fan of Pokemon - the only thing is that I'm no longer a pre-pubescent kiddo so the whole "become a Pokemon master at the age of ten" plot doesn't cut it for me anymore. This apocalyptic plot takes place in Hoenn, where a great majority of Pokemon both wild and tamed have been infected by Pokerus. Pokemon infected with this virus have become feral and attack indiscriminately. As a result, many of the giant cities have gone on shutdown in fear of becoming overrun and laid to waste like the coastal city Slateport.

Notes:
* I'm happy to move the setting elsewhere. Hoenn's my absolute fave - but my order of preference is Hoenn - Johto - Alola - Kanto. The rest I'll have to brush up on.
* Notice how I haven't mentioned anything about your character at all? You're free to make him however you like. Keep in mind though, big age gaps are a no go for me.
* If you're keen and want to jump straight in: Copy my profile and first post below and PM it to me with your profile and first post under it. No pre-roleplay planning required - we can figure out the details whenever you like.
*On the other hand, don't feel as if you have to jump in without discussion if you are interested in the plot. I'm always open to plan and offer my own ideas if you so wish!

Spoiler: Starter Post

Lady luck, Declan decides, is a grade A bitch.


The guttural croak of an infuriated Swalot has Declan cowering in his hiding spot, where he’s wedged behind a rust-laden shelf in Slateport’s dilapidated Pokemart. He gulps and attempts to soothe his frayed nerves before stealing the briefest of peeks around the flimsy shelf. The massive, gelatinous beast roams freely amongst the scattered debris, slowly but surely.


Honestly, what injustices has he committed in his previous life for karma to defecate so mercilessly upon him like this? Only three hours ago he had discovered that his Sharpedo Sterling had come down with an ailment. To be more exact, Sterling had been poisoned - by a Shroomish of all things. A ferocious apex predator of the sea, brought down by the wrath of a tiny, grumpy mushroom. If Sterling lives, Declan will never let him live it down.


Instead of pointing fingers and shaming his life-long companion, Declan had more pressing matters to attend to. Namely, saving the life of said life-long companion. So he hauled his ass over to the nearest PokeMart in search of an antidote. Fortunately enough for him, Slateport’s abandoned Pokemart was unlocked and he managed to slip in without much effort nor exertion on his part.


Unfortunately for him, that’s usually an indication that the store’s contents has been looted long ago. Typical. Ever since the spread of Pokerus across the region, most of Hoenn’s citizens have adopted the “every man for himself” approach. Entire cities have gone into lockdown: all visitors to Fortree and Rustboro are denied entry no matter how dire their circumstances are. But who could blame them for looking out for number one? A single visitor with an infected Pokemon companion is all that’s required to wreck utter havoc upon mighty civilisations.


Oh right – that’s why he’s here. Declan’s landed himself in this sticky mess simply because he refused to give his Pokemon up. That’s why he’s on the receiving end of a feral Swalot’s wrath, with only a Feebas and a half-dead Sharpedo on hand to “protect” him. Declan doesn’t usually make a habit of dwelling over his decisions, but he sure as hell is second-guessing himself now.


A giant wad of poisonous spit sent flying his way has him scrambling onto his feet. Shit. He’s been found. Instinctively he goes to reach for the pokeballs tucked away in his rucksack but he hesitates. Sterling obviously isn’t in fighting condition and Finley… The only thing Finley can do reliably is deliver a refreshing splash to its face. Sending him out to battle would be akin to sentencing him to death. But his options are running thin. What other choices does he have? If death is inevitable, Declan wants to go down fighting.

PRICE OF LOVE
Muse A is the self-professed king of dating sims; there’s no game within that genre that he hasn’t played. Needless to say, he’s conquered the hearts of all the virtual ladies and he has a 100% completion rate for all the games that he owns. So when Muse A is invited to participate in the beta testing of a highly anticipated, virtual reality dating sim, he accepts without a second thought. But much to his utter dismay, he soon discovers that the game is in fact an otome game and that he cannot leave without completing the true ending. Funnily enough, all the characters are programmed to believe that he’s female. All except for Muse B.

Muse B is the final, dateable character of the game. Muse A’s chance to leave the game can only be secured through getting Muse B’s good ending. However, Muse B’s not quite like the others. For one, he’s able to distinguish that his “princess” is in fact male. Muse B isn’t as predictable as the other characters, making the task all the more difficult for Muse A. Unbeknownst to Muse A, Muse B is not a program but another player.


IRREVERSIBLE
Muse A wakes up one day to discover that he’s dating Muse B and it all goes downhill from there. He’s somehow landed himself in another universe, one where he’s swapping spit with Muse B rather than exchanging blows. But when he sees the plain adoration in Muse B’s eyes, he can’t bring himself to tell him the truth.


FRAGILE HEARTS
Muse A and B are long-time, competitive rivals in a MMORPG that dominates the gaming world. Because of their reputation, they are both invited to test out the beta of the world’s first virtual MMORPG. To their dismay their pleasant virtual experience comes to an abrupt halt. They come to learn that their character’s health in game is directly tied to their own life force. Not only that, the game’s Soulmate mechanic has paired the two together, strengthening their combat skills at the expense of tying their life forces together. Unable to log out, the two are forced to work together to figure out a means of escape.
