Roleplay Ideas
Hey everybody, thanks for checking out my search. Before we go any further, I have a few standards I'd like to clarify
First, I don't mind being bumped, and I definitely don't mind OOC chatting, but please understand that I have a lot going on (a job, summer classes) and I probably won't be able to post every day. I don't mind being pinged, just don't come at me for taking a little while to write my post.
Second, I'm looking for partners who are genuinely interested in writing. It's difficult for me to get invested if I feel like my partner doesn't really care about the quality of their posts. I'm not saying you have to be Tolstoy or Hemingway-- I'm just asking for you to proofread and use proper grammar and punctuation.
And lastly, I just ask that you be mature and respectful. At the end of the day, we are here to have fun.
Now onward...!
1. Technical Elements
I am only interested in writing in the third-person past tense. I'm not a big fan of first-person and it's so very difficult for me to rewire my brain to write in the present tense. Would prefer that we have the same preference in this regard.
2. Post Length
I have a long history of being an advanced lit. roleplayer (or, a novella-type). But I am currently not looking for anything too extreme/serious. I only request that you be willing to write a minimum of 3 paragraphs per post. If anyone sends me a one-liner I will laugh and cry and delete my account.
3. Communication
I do really enjoy OOC talk but overall its not that important to me. If we click and neither of us are big OOC talkers, that's fine by me. If you'd prefer to keep an open line of communication, I'll gladly chat! If we get to know each other pretty well I will give you my discord handle. My only request is that you communicate with me if you are having any issues with our roleplay (and that you respond to me if I express concerns of my own).
4. Misc.
Alright, let's wrap this up! I don't care if we use faceclaims. I don't know how to use BBCode and I haaaate character sheets. I would prefer to roleplay in PMs. Don't ask me to do fandom roleplay. Don't control my character and we'll get along great.
****** I am only really looking for m/m right now!
1. Hark! from The Rotten Devil

Heaven isn't perfect-- and there must have been some kind of mistake. For Muse A has been wrongfully cast down from the heavens, suddenly a fallen angel cursed and abandoned to die a mortal death. One moment untouchable, the next, violently cascading like a meteor into a cornfield, scathed and delirious beyond self-recovery.
They are discovered by Muse B, an outsider to a near midwestern gothic town. Muse B is strange. Really strange. Not unkind, but… something is off about them. Things just seem to die around Muse B. The townsfolk keep their distance.
Muse B revives and cares for Muse A until the ex-angel claims to feel quite better, now set to correct their sentencing. But Muse B, privy now to Muse A's true nature, has… other plans.
2. Living Water, Blood-Soaked Glory

Muse A doesn't know society. Muse A was raised by their mother, a bulbous, slimy, creeping swamp-creature. He always knew he was different. It wasn't until he grew older that he learned about the other humans.
Muse B, a fiercesome warrior, is the son of the village chief. He's famous, popular, and a natural-born leader. He must be. Once his father, who is deathly ill, passes, the responsibilities of the village will pass onto him. And the village is being tormented by wicked, vile night-creatures which crawl from the swamp and set houses ablaze.
Muse B leads many expeditions to exterminate these night-creatures. Muse A watches from afar, curious about these other humans (though forbidden from interacting with them by his mother).
One night, separated from the rest of his party, Muse B becomes trapped under the talons of some beast. Muse A, who has taken a liking to Muse B, rescues them and assures their survival. The rest of Muse B's party is relieved and proud once they recover Muse B, believing that he had rescued himself. But Muse B is aware that it was something else that saved him. This thought irks him.
He begins setting traps. He begins poking around at night. Watching the trees. Waiting for things to go missing. His father once spoke of an intelligent monster and the way which she would snap a man's skull in her jaws. His father failed to mention that this monster had raised a human son.
3. Take These Broken Wings And Fly

Muse B is a man of science. And he's always thought of himself as a Good person. He used to have big aspirations, to change things for the better, to do real research that would make a difference. But lately, things haven't been going his way. He recently went through a messy breakup, he went through a taxing surgery, and now he's been reassigned at his government job to some stale administrative work in a "classified" workspace.
Come to find out, it's aliens. Aliens! The government is hiding aliens. Well, one alleged extra-terrestrial. At first, he's intrigued. Then, as he snoops around, he becomes deeply disturbed. The inhumane treatment of this creature has got to be breaking so many HHS rules.
At first, Muse B takes the corporate route. Subtle suggestions, probing questions. But he's shut down at every angle. And as he gets closer to the subject his feelings of injustice grow stronger.
Muse A is an alien, but only sort-of. They were born on earth, always lived on earth, never even really knew their alien parent (they are only half-extra-terrestrial). They presented as a regular human—maybe even thought they were one—until recently. They certainly don't look like a person anymore. And after months of torture, they don't act like one. Their body has gone through changes they can't even begin to understand. They've become lethal. Violent. Subhuman.
Muse B resolves to free Muse A. Because they're in love. And that's really all there is to say on the matter.
Other Pairings:
civilian x occupant soldier
human x android
monster x monster hunter
fae x human
space pilot x alien
clueless apocalypse survivor x jaded apocalypse survivor
Other Stuff I Love:
- Love triangles where at least one of them is evil
- Hurt / Comfort tropes (& whump)
- When one of them saves the other
- When one of them saves the other
Also open to other ideas and suggestions!
