Spoiler: Backstory on the defeat of Baldur a Millenia ago

The final moment had arrived finally, the final battle for Yevan, their home. They have been fighting the darkness and its minions for many many years, but they pushed on and have finally reached the gates of Trigormin, home of the Dark God Baldur. The warriors of Light swarmed the defenses of the dark creatures, killing hundreds with the strikes of light. At the front was the goddess herself, Adra. To actually fight with the goddess against her sworn enemy, well it was a sight to truly behold. She killed everything within her sights, and wielding the legendary blade Solar made the view all the more magnificent. Of course it would have been even more difficult to win this war without her Champions of Light Herald, Galenhad, Adria, Jorgir, Yelen, Verda, Ingri, Lothan, Sif, and Kirk.

When they breached the throne room, all hell broke loose as both Baldur and Adra fought. It was like watching two titans clash, Baldur was almost winning until the Champions placed a ward on him, sapping him of his powers. This allowed Adra to strike the killing blow. She stabbed him through the chest and opened a portal, sucking Baldur away into pieces, and the rest of the Darkness followed with him, including the minions. The light had one that day and truly defended their home Yevan.

Thousands of years have passed since the death of Baldur and the world was bathed in true light. Life flourished, kingdoms and empires rises and fell, and all was happy. Though there have been talk if dark cults, but they were nothing to Adra, for there was nothing left to threaten her or her people. The Champions left to their own separate ways, their whereabouts unknown, but their legacy, and most importantly their tools are scattered all over the world, waiting for those worthy to claim them.

Suddenly however, new Champions of light are needed. While she thinks there is nothing to disturb the peace and balance of the world, you can never be too careful.

Spoiler: The Three Major Kingdoms

Spoiler: Nortis: The Kingdom in the North

Nortis is the northern kingdom, which is full of noble houses which are direct vassals of the monarchy, kinda like a feudal system except these houses are vassals through Loyalty not bribery. In the north it is much more colder than the other kingdoms and they have a wall on the upper boundaries of the kingdom to keep the Winter tribes from coming down south in a wave of destruction. Though usually the members of the wall are exiles or criminals forced to make sure they protect the kingdoms south, usually this would never work but they are instilled with a sense of loyalty and fear to keep them in line, Loyalty to their leaders of this Watch and fear of letting through the winter barbarians to cause destruction. While there are those in the kingdom who don't view other races as people, most of the administration isn't racist and tends to allow all races to be whatever they want. The capital is known as Derim.

Spoiler: Leon: The Kingdom to the West

The Western Kingdom is a land of wealth, power, and security. Though it may look pretty, the royal family is greedy and bloodthirsty, often they declare wars to take the surrounding kingdoms. The monarchy directly controls the kingdom and the noble houses take orders from them, though the houses are allowed to own land. This kingdom is full of greed, murder, intrigue, and betrayal, all that matters is keeping your friends close and your enemies closer. You won't get far by being friendly here, you need to be a player of the political intrigue to even have a chance at making it. This Kingdom has a bitter rivalry with the Northern Kingdom. Racism is very real in this kingdom, if you're not human, you have it worse here. Slavery is non existent but there is a form of in Indentured servitude, which means your a servant slave to whatever noble family that pretty much owns you. The capital is called Aegon's Hill.

Spoiler: The Desert City States To The East: Vorgl, Known by the name as Slaver's Bay

3. To the East is a big desert full of various kingdoms and city states. This area is plagued by Slavers and slavery. The rulers of these cities are called Magisters, and each Magister is a powerful Mage. Over here you'll see the main attractions being the Gladiatorial pits where slaves are trained to be killers and to fight each other to the death. Vorgl is the most notable and the biggest and strongest City State within the region. With its access to the sea and the Pirates, it gets the most slaves. The magister ruling the city is known to be one of the most powerful mages to live in the current era. Most city states don't care about your race, anybody can be a slave or Master, but it exists, but most don't care. There are 2 types of slaves: The Gladiators which fight and die for the amusement of the Masters and the peasants, and the Servants who escaped that life and gleefully serve their masters knowing they don't have to die.

Spoiler: Organization: The Knights

The Knights is an organization that strives to promote the ideas of Chivalry, honor, respect, and Bravery into its squires and recruits. While not belonging to any one nation, the main base of operations is located between the Border of the kingdom's of Nortis and Leon. The Knight Commander is the leader of this organization and remains neutral in all kingdom affairs, but the Knights themselves are free to join what ever kingdoms army they want. The Knights train people to be a Knight and from there they are free to go anywhere they want, but they must keep to their oaths lest their Knighthood be revoked. Many Knights stay with the organization for many reasons, some want to have a place to call home, many don't have a home to go to, some just don't know where to go. Many Knights stay and go, and whatever they do, they must keep to their oaths.
