Suggestion Add group size to RP Preferences (and more!)

I'd like to see preferred group size added to RP Preferences. I think it'd work best organized something like this:

Genre:
  • Fandom
  • Fantasy
  • Futuristic
  • Realistic or Modern
Group Size:
  • 1 - 3 (aka 1x1)
  • 3 - 10
  • 10+
Style:
  • Freeform
  • Dice
  • Quest
  • Coliseum
  • Nation Building
Even though I only suggested adding group size to RP Preferences, I think it may be beneficial to separate roleplay styles/types from genre. After all, we define the main genres on RPN through setting. But there's nothing setting-specific about dice campaigns, or quests, or tournament RPs, or nation building. They can be set in any setting, what makes them unique are the mechanics involved in playing out the story.

Let's have some more complex choices! It'll help us find the RPs we want!

It's a neat idea, but does anyone ever check RP preferences after the site made the jump to a different web engine? I find that I just get invited to random RPs regardless.

Interesting idea, but from what I've seen of xF 2.0 (which we hope to transition to Very Soon(tm) ), the more we put there the clunkier it'll get. Things may still change between now and the final release, though.

As far as genre vs. style, that's one reason you can select multiple boxes. ^D^

The sleeker author panel on new posts is SO nice - but no, that's not where I was thinking of displaying this information. It's detailed enough to warrant its own field on the profile page.
