As he grew up, he obsessed over this idea, and despite his parents' hope he'd study business and became an executive in the United States or Korea, he chose to write a startling undergraduate thesis on Jurassic Park that got him accepted into the graduate Economic department at the University of Chicago. He has been singularly focused on the topic since his sophomore year of college, a total of over six years.
