Futuristic Achilles

Sica looked at Beitris who clearly wasn't very thrilled to work with her. Shaking Beitris's hand Sica noted the suggestion to recharge, it was certainly a good idea. After making her way back to the sleeping quarters she found her things. After pulling out the suitcase of power cells she pulled a cord from the same suitcase. Sica brushed the hair from the back of her neck so she could start replacing the dying cell. The back of her neck was home to a several drives and ports which were used for maintaining her cybernetics, taking the cord from the case and plugged it into the back of her neck connecting the opposite end into a small external battery that she used solely for the few moments of cell changing. Sica then opened up her torso as she pulled out the dying cell, placing it carefully inside the silver suitcase before pulling out a fresh one. Her HUD began to rapidly flash red attempting to warn her that her power cell had been pulled out. Sica pulled out a fully charged power cell placing it where the original had been. Closing up her chest Sica's HUD had cleared up to the normal transparent green. Finally disconnecting the wire on the back of her neck she placed everything neatly back inside the silver suitcase which held all her belongings. It was nice seeing the 100% charge rather than 16%, certainly was much better than shutting down, when she was shutdown it was like being trapped in a void, unable to see, hear, feel or move her body. Mentally though Sica was exhausted, she placed her suitcase on the bed as she stood still unmoving and entered sleep mode letting her mind wander off and relax, even though her body didn't need sleep her mind still did.

Jade would have taken offence to his first comment but it was true. No point in getting upset over facts. She did take note of the strange chittering sound finding it fairly odd but he did say he was not human despite looking very similar. Despite the differences she did appreciate his straight forward nature in not wanting to waste any time. She offered a small polite smile and nodded "That would be best." She replied before starting to make her way towards the hanger glancing around at the rest of the time. They would eventually have to work together as a cohesive unit but small steps were need in adjusting to each other. She had to admit she was very happy she didn't get the pink haired techno-ditz but felt bad for the redhead who looked like she had been given some kind of life sentence. It seemed out of the three pairings she had drawn the metaphorical short straw.

"What kind of style and weapons do you typically use?" Jade questioned wanting to get a better idea of what she would be dealing with.

Alan nodded curtly and turned to head towards the hangar.

"I normally use my T'lain, my short blades. You are not allowed to touch them." he said, looking over his shoulder at her.

"However, my long rifle and my pistols are in need of servicing. I do not enjoy using them, but they need to be in working order." He stopped by the room for a moment to grab up two steel cases. They were heavy, but he carried them with little issues.

"Do you know how to service a Hibari Heavy Industries series 30 sniper rifle?" he asked, pausing for a moment.

"Also, do you know where the hangar is? I believe I am lost."

Angus twitched. Plasma cutters? Last time I saw one of those, they were used in mining colonies. Have I been paired with a savage? He looked at the man and between himself and his neutral eyes, few people would be able to tell he was judging him. From the way he looked, he most likely wasn't a savage, maybe some sort of stoner, but not a savage. Either way, he wouldn't be so renowned as to be picked for this mission if he was a savage, would he?

Angus pulled his eyes from the man and looked in the direction of the hangar. "Very well. You can scuttle off and do whatever it is you younglings do nowadays. If you need me I'll be getting the fighter in shape." The two large toolboxes made occasional noises as he turned away from his new partner and started walking towards the hangar. The sentence could be considered rude, but Angus meant nothing by it. It was just his way of talking to people younger than himself.

Jade took note of the his attachment to his short swords and made a not not to mess with them. She knew some soldiers had an unnatural attachment to their weapons and she was not one to get between such things. "Yes, I am familiar with all military grade weaponry and standard issue gear. As well as some experimental technology." She informed. "Hangar is this way." She said turning to cross a short distance of the hall through another corridor which opened out to large hangar. Steel crates and casings stacked high in the large open room. There was a myriad of tools and equipment of all shapes and sizes which lined the walls of the hangar. Along the far off wall appeared to be six over sized locker where combat and exo-suits are typically stored. Several steel casings were placed near there, no doubt the suits that had been shipped over during transport.

In the center of the Hangar were three S-98 Svanii Peregrine fighter ships. They were well known for their speed, maneuverability and superior fire power for its size class. Jade made her way over to one of the several work stations that were positions around the hangar looking over the given equipment taking note of what she would need from her own personal storage. She was tempted to start working on lightning but knew she had responsibilities to take care of first. "Right then, put the weapons on the station and I'll work on them." She stated before moving off to where some of the crates were grabbing a anti-grav lift along the way. she looked over some of the crates before finding her stacked among the other new shipments. She used the lift cart to move the storage container and move it to her work station.
