Skills


Former mercenary - has the typical combat skills one would expect of a marine commando. His specialty was that of a vehicular specialist (both operation and repair). He went into medical evacuation and scouting. In this he picked up the skills of a paramedic.


Rigger - he usually operated his drones by remote control. But he would often ride one in to assist wounded onto gurneys.


Survivalist - (best in arid or mountainous terrain)


Personality


Braxton is a survivalist and mercenary who is trying to raise a rebellious 13 year old daughter that utterly despises him. The mission was supposed to be his chance to leave a life of conflict behind - and a chance for his daughter to be safe.


History


For those who have seen the movie Elysium, Braxton didn’t grow up among the Elite. No, he grew up among the dregs of society having to defend himself. At an early age he was orphaned and forced to adapt. Adapting meant forced labor. Forced labor was a slow death. That meant forced to escape. Escape meant being forced to adapt … again. This time he found other ways to stay alive - most illegal.


By the time he was nearly a teenager Braxton was a hardened young man. His only recourse was the military where he became a Deathwalker. (The lifespan of most Deathwalkers was a year after trained. Braxton lasted 4 years) Military life landed him behind enemy lines where he met his wife - one of the enemy. Together the two left their respective services and turned mercenary.


Eight years later Braxton was forced to kill his own wife. His daughter, Natalya, knows he is responsible for her mother’s death and blames him. The truth is more complicated than that, but Braxton doesn’t debate the point.
