Fantasy Academy of Magic

she heard the doors slam open and she turned seeing him. "late? we havent started yet." she said lowly and waited with her friends nikki and alex for the headmistress's announcement, wondering what would be said. she turned back to the table and petted talon who had moved around her neck and nudged her for attention.

((Sorry, but this isn't really a post to the RP and I might not be able to get one up for a while. I'm just really sick and haven't been able to concentrate or really even stay awake for more than a couple hours... And my head hurts too much to look at a computer screen for long... Sorry...))

((Okay! I'm finally getting around to posting something! Sorry for the long wait... Some of you may already know that I was sick a while ago, but you probably don't know that I ended up having to stay in the hospital for a while because I had to get some operation done... Well, anyway! I'm back and I'm awake and I have internet access! ... And finals start in a couple days...))

Alexandru

Alex looked around, wondering when the announcement was going to be made. Not that he was impatient, but it had been a while since he'd sat down, and he's almost been late to get here... Shrugging, he leaned back in his chair and settled in to wait for however long it'd take for the Headmistress to give her speech.

Leona

The red haired girl gazed around the room, no longer seeming so nervous, but not exactly looking happy. Or sad, for that matter. She just felt... kind of isolated, she supposed. There were a few people here, and some of them were talking among themselves, but Leo had only really met three other people here, and two of them were staff. She'd always had an easier time getting along with her teachers than she had with others her own age, but... She kind of just wanted a friend she could hang out with, go to movies and play video games and stuff. You don't really get that kind of relationship with teachers most of the time...

OOC: Welcome back :)

Leon had decided to walk passed the couple that had announced themselves so excitedly to the entire room earlier and excuses himself as he did so. Straightening out his vest a little he proceeded to walk towards the front where the instructor's table was located with his shined black dress shoes gently tapping against the stone floor. He did not see the Headmistress readily and so took his seat up at the table, relaxing a little bit since he had just awoken from his nap.

Skyler waited patiently with a light smile on her face looking at nikki and alex noticing how calm they'd been and decided to relax on her own. she thought for a moment about the time and then checked the time with a light sigh

((Hello. Sorry. I was dragged on a camping trip the moment finals were over and haven't had internet access since... I don't really know when, I've lost track of how long I was hanging out at the lake... Sorry again...))

After some time, Alexis finally walked up to the podium at the end of the room, right across from the double doors. "Hello, staff and students, and welcome to the Academy of Magic! As most of you probably already know, I'm the Headmistress, Alexis Lancaster." She glanced around at them with what she hoped was a confident smile. "As some of you have found out by now, the school grounds have a lot to offer, including a campus store that actually has a lot more than you'd think, a pool, hiking trails through the nearby woods, and much more! Now, I should really tell you all the rules. Now, some of these may seem obvious, but I'm going to say them anyway. No boys are allowed in the girls' dorm after 8:00 PM on school nights, and 10:00 PM on weekends, same go for girls in the boys' dorm. You have to be inside the building by midnight on school nights, but you don't have a curfew on weekends. Classroom rules are, of course, decided by the teachers of that class, so I won't go into that. Teachers do have power, but if a student thinks they are being unfairly punished, they can come to me and we'll work something out. I will not tolerate bullying of any kind. At all. If you're caught bullying someone once you'll get one detention, twice you'll get a week's detention, and the third time you'll be expelled." Her tone and expression were dead serious as she gave a hard glare to each and every person in the room. A few moments later, she suddenly smiled brightly at them, yellow eyes shining happily. "I hope you all enjoy staying here!" With that, she went to sit at the teachers' table and loaded a plate with food, hands trembling just a little. The food had come through a portal, created by the head chef in the school's kitchen, Alexis' twin sister. They had a sort of telepathic bond, but only with each other, so Sylvia (who had blond hair and black eyes) knew exactly when to send the food. "That went well..." She murmured to herself, taking a sip of water.

Skyler listened well to the entire speech and once a glare was sent out she got abit figity and unsure of what to do as she watched the headmistress as she looked over to alex and nikki unsure of what to do next she looked at the food And stayed silent then thought 'i hope they know some of us are vegetarians one day."

Leon's attention turned quickly to Alexis when she stood at the podium. She looked as lovely as ever though he did not care to admit so out loud. Fraternization amongst fellow coworkers wasn't something he fancied. His arms were crossed across his chest as he listened to her address, rather impressed with the way she was handling public speaking. He could barely tell that she was nervous if she was at all. When she had finished he watched her walk over to the table and sit down, quickly filling her plate.

"It did", he spoke quietly when she was muttering to herself. "I could barely tell that you were nervous", he whispered with a kind smile as he filled his plate just the same as her with a few chicken legs and a large helping of mashed potatoes.

Alexandru

The blue haired teen felt a slight shiver run up his spine when sharp yellow eyes met his grey orbs in a glare. He decided then and there (for the fifth time since he received his acceptance letter) that he would not, under any circumstances, get on this woman's bad side. She was kind and friendly, but strict about her beliefs. According to his mama, that was exactly how an instructor was supposed to be. Blinking rapidly at the food that had appeared before him while he was lost in thought, Alex gasped in amazement. After a few moments of staring at the wide variety of cuisine, he reached in front of himself to get fill a small-ish bowl with something that smelled and looked a lot like ciorba, a traditional sour soup from Romania. He hadn't expected to find something so familiar on this table...

Alexis

Alexis smiled at the brown haired man gratefully. "That's a relief. I thought for sure I looked like a moron, trembling and practically stumbling back to the table..." She sighed softly, shaking her head a little to clear her thoughts. "I haven't spoken in front of so many people since my second year in college..." And at that tie, she'd had her sister right next to her, so she wasn't as nervous. Thankfully, she's only need to speak to all of the staff and students at one time for certain occasions, so she would still get a bit more practice, but it wouldn't be an everyday thing.

Leona

Leo swallowed thickly and shivered a little, though she wasn't cold at all. It was a good thing the redhead didn't consider herself a bully, by any stretch of the imagination. At least, she hoped that was the case... She couldn't really be sure how others saw her, though, so she could very well be a bully to someone, in some way... Bright green eyes stared down at her lap in fear, and any appetite she'd had coming in here vanished. What if she'd somehow managed to hurt someone, ruin their life or shatter their self esteem, and she didn't even care enough to notice? That would make her a bully, wouldn't it? Oh dear, she was a horrible person...!

Upon hearing everything that was mentioned Skyler looked abit uneasy feeling as if she was unsure about things this woman said she was firm but kind, and quite bold. Skyler smelled aromas of many foods but didn't touch anything, she just drew in a journal because she hadn't seen anything appealing to a vegetarian until She noticed Everyone waiting to dine, so she placed her hands in her lap and the book had been returned to her bag, "Hey Alex and Nikki, I am not hungry I will see you both later. I will be in the dorm if you need me." She stood without excusing herself to the headmistress and walked out before anyone could say anything she begin walking to her room alone and thinking.
