Hello! Here to report my interest in this as well. Also wanted to mention that I really love the exposition you made for the players, it's always so exciting and heart-stopping (in a good way) when GMs immediately set the mood like -that-.
I hope you don't mind any questions right off the bat like this, but how developed is this magic community in the RP? It's fantastic to have a straightforward motivation for most characters, being that they wish to eventually partake in the higher echelons of the magic society, but what exactly does that entail? Is it just being employed by the governing parties/group? Or what other options are there for graduates of this prestigious academy?
Additionally, this may just be me poking around for spoilers, but in the event that we roleplay out lectures/classes/etc. does that mean that you have systems in place for player's character to actually learn from (like magic languages you may have created for this world, or if people are summoners, you have a monster-encyclopedia for NPCs to teach them about) or are spells/lessons/etc. going to be mostly player-influenced/skipped over?
Delighted to see interest in this RP.
I will be posting some background information into a Lore Page soon, which hopefully will outline the magical community in the RP. Being invited to the Academy is essentially a one-way ticket to success for any individual - it's a training ground for the best of the best to flourish and thrive. There are a wide array of options available after graduation, but they very much depend on the individual rather than the Academy itself.
The story will be more plot-driven so I don't think there'll be many opportunities for players to play classes and lessons - we will be focusing on character interactions and progressive elements. I would like, if people can, to have players write posts together. This way the dialogue flows more naturally, and players can plan out their discussions and respond to each other's questions and reactions with greater fluidity.
This looks right up my alley (including the cooperative posts). Count me interested as well! Looking forward to reading through the Lore when I get home.
I'm gonna jump in on this. It looks interesting
There really is some amazing world building in this
