Academy for the Uniques (PRIVATE)

"Dude?" Baron called out to the lad that had fallen. "DUDE?"

He ran towards the boy when he didn't respond and shook the lad. "Are you okay? Can you hear me?"

Baron looked over his shoulder to tell Clara to call the nurse and looked at the boy. The lad had literally fainted from getting hit by a book on the head.

He thought back to Mei Jun, who was collapsed in the hallway earlier. Were all of the new students going to be weak this year?

Cain blinked when the lamp was fixed immediately--or rather, creepily turned back on with a fixed light bulb. He inhaled a breath, then glared around the room before sighing. Yes, living with a ghost means that this kind of stuffs would be utterly normal. It's useful too anyway, having a ghost who could fix stuffs. Sometimes, ghosts are more useful than humans.

".........Thanks." Even though he knew that he should be thanking a ghost he thank Mei Jun instead, because thanking a ghost just seemed to be too hard core for him.

Suddenly, he turned around and shoot at the ceiling, and a dead fly fell onto the floor.

Cain walked over to the dead fly calmly and cleaned it up, throwing it to the garbage can, ignoring the thin smoke that flowed out of the hole of the ceiling he just made with the bullet.

Mei Jun jumped at least a foot when Cain took out a gun and shot the ceiling. While still trying to calm his dying heart, Cain walked over to the bug that had dropped from the ceiling and cleaned it up. Mei saw the spirit of the poor insect rise from the corpse.

"Whoa, first the lamp and now the ceiling... I'm surprised he didn't shoot you in the face when he saw you in his bed," Chun laughed as Mei Jun stared at Cain with eyes as big as platters. He floated towards the ghost of the bug, whom Mei sensed to be extremely confused as it crawled around its former body. "I think I'll keep this little one as a pet."

This is going to take a lot of getting used to...

"
Eh... Mr. Galvon, does your ability involve guns?" Mei Jun asked, trying to make conversation and hopefully, get on Cain's good side so he doesn't decide to go on a rampage and shoot him dead one day.

Opening his eyes, Ryota yawned and sat up.

Where the bloody hell am I....oh right...I got hit by a extremely thick book......stupid book...

Did I faint or something?.....probably.....wait wasn't I talking to someone?!

Ryota looked around the room, spotting the guy he was talking to earlier.

....Is he holding his cheek in pain?.....Did I cause that?....I hope not...

Frowning, Ryota leaned towards the male and asked

"What happened to you?"

Baron grumbled as he moved around on the nurse's large comfy chair, trying to guess how many more kids that he may have to take to the infirmary. After all, this was his second time he had ended up at the infirmary trying to help the new kids.

His hand held his cheek, he didn't know why but it felt like someone had punched him on the face.

"What happened to you?"

Baron looked over to the boy on the bed, "Oh, you're awake. Tell me, do you always faint when you get hit by a book?"

"Oh, you're awake. Tell me, do you always faint when you get hit by a book?"

.....do I? I have no idea........

"Tell me, do you always get a bruise from carrying someone?"

I hope it's not my fault.......

Ryota frowned slightly.

"Does it hurt a lot?"

"Bruise?" Baron quickly opened one of the nurse's cabinet drawers and hastily pulled out a mirror. Sure enough, a dark bruise was blooming on his cheek.

"Aw geez....this day isn't getting any better." Baron frowned staring at his cheek.

Slightly annoyed, he looked at the lad, "What is your ability anyway? Something to do with bruises?"

Upon hearing how the other called him...As "Mr. Galvon," Cain couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy. "...Cain," he said, facing the other. "...P-Please call me Cain." He coughed. Mr. Galvon was a bit too formal for him, for it was used mostly when his boss back in the organization forced him into arranged marriage with some other mafia daughters even though he's just 19.

He took a random ball of paper and stick it into the hole on the ceiling as an attempt to easily fix it, then nodded slightly as the other questioned if his ability involved gun. "..More like skill than ability." Cain paused, "I can't shoot a ghost."

"What is your ability anyway? Something to do with bruises?"

".....You can say that....."

Ryota got off the bed and walked towards the other guy. He stopped a foot away from the male and raised his hand.

"Or you can say that I have the power to kill anyone I wish......"

Ryota stopped his hand an inch away from the guy's cheek, frowning at the rather dark bruise.....

Saying an barely audible sorry, Ryota begun to leave the room when he saw the shark pillow from earlier.

Picking it up, Ryota walked towards the door, leaving a warning...

"You shouldn't get close to me......at all...."

He left the infirmary.

Chun flinched a little when Cain mentioned that he can't shoot ghosts. "Does he want to shoot me?!"

"I-is that so..." Mei Jun nodded. "Well, um... Cain, do you have any afternoon classes?"

Baron blinked at the lad as he walked out of the infirmary.

"Yea, I'll try not to. Thanks for being concerned." Baron rubbed his cheek and placed the mirror back into the drawer.

He looked up at the clock, "Darn.....afternoon classes are starting soon."

When Pillow was grabbed by Ryota, it automatically woke up. Almost immediately, Pillow recognized the pair of hands as the ones from this morning as the texture of the gloves felt exactly the same.

"This person.....NEEDS TO REALLY LEARN THEIR LESSON ABOUT NOT PICKING UP A SLEEPING PILLOW," it raged internally.

"You shouldn't get close to me......at all..." Pillow heard.

"Ahem..If you don't want people to get close to you then would you please get your hands off me? Permanently?" Pillow said while slapping Ryota in the face with it's tail at high speed.

"Ahem..If you don't want people to get close to you then would you please get your hands off me? Permanently?"

Suddenly I was slapped across the face with.....a shark tail......

Oh course it didn't hurt but my head still swung to the side.

....Did I just get hit by a shark tail.......The shark tail of a pillow?........

I stared at the pillow, questioning it's existence.........

"Are you.....alive?......."

"Are you....alive?...."

That was the last straw. "Am I Alive...? Of course not. A random dead pillow whose sleep was interrupted by you swallowed you whole and wiggled it's way to the male dorms and wiggled back to the infirmary to only have it's sleep interrupted by you once again. OF COURSE I'M ALIVE YOU IDIOT!!" Pillow exploded.

"NOW GET OFF ME!" It screamed.

Hearing the question, Cain nodded. He did have afternoon classes in which he did not want to go. However, he did not intend to speak or open his mouth anymore. His mouth ached. He talked too much today...Talking is so much work, you have to open your mouth in a certain way to pronounce each word, you even have to use your tongue.

"So do I," Mei Jun smiled. He's getting the gist that Cain probably wasn't much of a talker, so he decided maybe he should leave and give him some peace. "Well, I'm going to go and look around the school. See you later."

With that, Mei Jun and Chun walked out the door.

......So it IS alive....awesome.....so pillows can be alive.......

I bent down to it's height, and looked it in it's eyes.

"Will you be my pillow?" I asked with a serious look on my face.

"I'm rooming alone so it's nice and peaceful, and I'll buy you snacks or fish or whatever it is that you eat."

With my gloved hand, I begun to pet the shark pillow....thing.....

"No biting please?"

"Will you be my pillow?"

"Hell no."

"I'm rooming alone so it's nice and peaceful, and I'll buy you snacks or fish or whatever it is that you eat."

"As tempting as it is, I don't need to eat and I have my own room."

"No biting please?"

"Like hell I can bite....But I can slap," Pillow said while continuously slapping Ryota in the face.

Ryota grabbed the pillow and made it stop hitting him.

"Alright alright, jeez all you had to say was no...."

"Sorry for interrupting your sleep or whatever....." You're pillow do you even NEED sleep?.....

Ryota looked at his watch, it was almost time for afternoon classes to begin.....He looked at the pillow again

"Uh....do you mind telling me how to get to my class?"

Pillow made a face. "Swallow this idiot male human again? No thank you...." Pillow thought.

"No way," Pillow said...

With that, Pillow wiggled down the hallway towards the male dorms. When it was 100% sure that Ryota was out of sight, Pillow magically teleported in front of it's own class. Arriving at the classroom, Pillow opened the door. As expected, every single human in the classroom was staring at Pillow making it's way to the desk in the back row near the windows.

Ryota stared at the leaving pillow.

....What to do now.....

He took out his map again and attempted to figure out where he was....

Yep I am totally lost. Great. Just walk around in circles till you find something I guess.....

Despite all the excitement of having a roommate who could possibly be Mari's future friend, her roommate...wasn't there. Mari scan the her new dorm room and her eyes wander to the unfamiliar objects lying around. "So this room is consider an high-class noble person would live, huh." The young lady assume that the bed with only a suitcase on top was her new roommate's possessions and then sat on the opposite bed from it. Mari was amuse by the way the furniture was the complete opposite from her old room. She scans the room some more but glance at the few boxes near the window and realized that the boxes labeled her name on it. "Oh, I remember that my light items was packed beforehand and delivered here."

After a few minutes of unpacking her suitcase, Mari began to put all her possessions on her desk near her bed. Her favorite German books were nestled on the bookshelves along with a few dozens of her special collection of furry stuff animals. She then put her clothes in her drawers and carefully place her rosemary china tea set on her desk. The auburn fix up herself a nice cup of milk tea along with some yummy scones.

She elegantly sips her tea and sighs. This whole morning was awfully strange but somewhat...exciting. Thinking back at the past actions of hers made her blush in embarrassment. "That was so unfashionable of me screaming like a sensible woman!" she mutters under her breath. Lady Sonnenschein then looks at the clock and settles down her tea. It's about time for her afternoon classes. From the scary ghost and the strange wiggly shark she thought....is this what a commoner's life should be?
After quickly brushing her scone crumbs off her mouth with her handkerchief, Mari gets her winter uniform and puts it on. She went up to the tall mirror near the corner of the room and examine herself. She felt a bit of enlightenment because her dream is finally coming true. Becoming a commoner and living in an school with classmates who could be even be "friends" with her. The noblewoman takes her schoolbag and the map of the Academy and heads out.

"I disbelief that I would not get to my destination this time." she thought. Mari believed that a young lady like herself should always correct her mistake the second time around. She double-checks the map and nods with confidence, she's going the right way.

"Excuse me, do you know where this class is?"

Mari stops and looks around her. Is someone talking to her? The voice seems almost TOO familiar... Suddenly as she turns around, a fragile boy was right in front of her. The auburn hair lady suddenly recognize this person and her eyes widen "AH, IT'S NOT MR GHOST!"

Startled at the sudden outburst, Mei Jun stepped back a couple of steps before regaining his posture.

"Oh! Isn't she the girl that ran away from you when you asked her for help before?" Chun reminded Mei Jun.

It is... But... Mr. Ghost?

"Erm... Weren't you that girl in the hallway from before?"

Finally finding my classroom, I composed myself before entering. Upon entering, there was almost no one there which I was grateful for, I took a seat near the back by a window. Looking out the window, I just wished for class to start already.....

Mari examines the young man for the first time ever. He seems a bit...boney though his skin color has gotten better from the last time she saw him. She began to question herself if that a ghost can even be a student in the Academy. The man at this position wasn't so frightening and scary unlike before. Mari shivers even though her winter uniform should been warm enough for warmth. "Why it is suddenly so hot in here?" she wonders.

"Erm... Weren't you that girl in the hallway from before?" Mari looks toward him and clap her hands together.

"Ah! Indeed not! I have never saw a healthy ghost before...." She stops and thinks about her past encounter with him when she was trying to find her dorm room. "I recall that I was very calm and polite towards you. I am insincerely unsorry!" while she deeply bows down her upper body 90 degrees just like what her mother taught her when she was little.
